Yeah, that's always been the problem.

Kepa is on 190,000pw till 2025. Sterling on 300,000+.

Mateo Kovačić
They were f**ked the minute Moshiri bought the place and allowed clowns like Kenwright to actually call the shots. Moshiri has displayed zero business acumen, you have to wonder how he made his money in the first place.

Everton have accumulated losses over the past 5 years of 430m. The latest, for 21/22, was 44m. They're now under investigation with no date set for the actual investigation. In addition, Ancelotti is suing them in the High Court over unspecified contractual matters. On top of which they face legal action by Leicester, Leeds, Southampton and Burnley over ongoing breaches. I think you're right in the sense that Chelsea are, very relatively speaking, small fish.

Hmmm. Further investigation reveals it's a Croatian given name, variant of Matthew. I'd've thought his middle name should be One-Dimensional.

BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
I would take this Pys character more seriously if he or she knew how to use an apostrophe.

Welcome Hakim Ziyech
Nuance? Around here? Pffffffft.

So Lukaku is a bit of a Bawbag...
Well, well.

Nicolas Jackson - striker
Stats reveal he didn't start in 2021/22, made 9 appearances off the bench for no goals. He was 20. In 2022/23 he started 16 times, came off the bench 10 times for 12 goals and 4 assists. A purple patch or a young player developing? Who knows?

He has been drifting into CM.

Declan Rice to Chelsea?
And Kepa too.

Moises Caicedo to Chelsea! "Official"
Brighton do these sorts of deals with their players. Mac Allister's 35m release clause was included in a new contract he signed around WC time. He wanted to leave, Brighton accepted that, the release cause facilitated that. The 35m was a token figure, a red herring. His real price, including add ons, was 55m+.

Andrey Santos Signs for Chelsea
His passing and crossing have improved immensely. He has also worked on using his right foot. (I wish Chilly would) At 18 he's going to be defensively suspect particularly given his lack of game time over the whole season. I'm interested to see Pochettino's plans for him.

American owners if they don't repay the quarter of a billion dollar loan next year.

So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!
Has there been any news on Broja's recovery? His speed was one of his big assets, hopefully the ACL hasn't compromised that. It's been known to happen.

I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Andre Onana
It might be that he realises a new GK ranks well below the need for midfielders and a striker. If so, more power to him.

Moises Caicedo to Chelsea! "Official"
The debt he cleared is unrelated to FFP which is based on trading profit and loss. The problem is the accumulated trading losses over the last 3 years. The new owners' spending will be a lot less of a problem because the purchases have been amortised over the lengths of the contracts, eight years for the most part. Which means 1/8th of each outgoing purchase pound will count against this year's books.

The need to sell has nothing to do with the new owners' spending. It's to clear the debt accumulated over the last 3 seasons. Which is to say, the Abramovich era.

We've got a new Kepa
Undersized goal turned up in L1 or L2 last season. I forget which. Posts at one end had been sunk to deep into the ground. After a lot of faffing around, they played the match anyway on the basis that both teams would enjoy/suffer the same way. Bring it on.

Mason Mount
And they're going to try to offload him. Good luck.
