MOTM vs Real Madrid (A) (CL)
Mount getting MOTM😂😂 sounds about that right for this obsessed forum. Typical Mount right there

Random Rumours
It was between him and Maignan for me, would be a very good shout. Seems like a good alternative as Maignan is approaching 28 and also will go for a huge fee

Welcome home Super Frank
embarrassment of a manager this bloke, jesus christ go back to punditry

Our New Stadium
I assume it was part of the initial takeover contract or whatever

Izzy Brown
Bringing back this thread, hes just announced his retirement from football because of injuries! The potential was so high with him at one point, one of the standouts in that great run of youth football we had from 13-18 https://twitter.com/izzyjaybrown/status/1643960815278604288?s=20

No I agree with you in the sense that a lot of these players look good at U21 level, but when it comes to the real game they dont. But the ones im referring to are a bit different. Take for example the youth team of a few a years ago, the team that had the likes of RLC, Baker, Izzy Brown, Chalobah etc... That team, you could easily say that Chalobah for example was one of the lower rated players in that team in general, but someone like Lewis Baker and Izzy Brown were touted as the best with Solanke behind them.. But the fact that Chalobah is now in the main team and the likes of Baker and Brown are in the championship or god knows where, is down to their progress being halted by some terrible loans where they barely had any game time. Of course there are some other factors that play into this as well like injuries, but im sure there have been so many talented players that have had terrible loans or just managed poorly in the crucial ages between 18-21

ive just seen the same thing happen with so many of our old youth products. how many quality youngsters did we have at u21 level, and then their progress gets completely stunted by these old dinosaur managers in the lower leagues who barely give them a chance
-
Christopher Nkunku to Chelsea
looks like some player but signing him now is too early. He needs regular game time at a team like Brighton to truly learn and improve. This is invaluable experience and coming here to just sit on the bench is pointless

Of course, but I feel like when young youth players get loaned out to these lower league english teams, they always get snubbed and barely given a chance to play
-
Kendry Paez
hes only 15, we wont see him near the first team for a long time. Going to get a random loan to a lower league english club at some point and probably get benched there and his progress halted

Who do you want next as manager?
Well thats about his level it seems, mid table in la liga! Woefully overrated manager imo - and its easy to judge based on how Spain have been despite some of the great talent they have at their helm
-
Who do you want next as manager?
Why are so many people hell bent on Luis Enrique? He has been a pretty big failure at every single place he has managed (Roma, Celta, and both times he managed Spain) and the only ever success he had was at Barca where he had the greatest front 3 in history in MSN.

Bruno Saltor "Bruno" - interim extraordinaire
New manager bounce to last the rest of the season you would hope

Who do you want next as manager?
What a terrible list we have to vote on for the most part, most the managers there are no good. My choice would be between Amorim, Marcelo Gallardo or De Zerbi - but the latter highly likely wont be happening, only so much you can steal from 1 club. Gallardo is a fantastic manager, and already has the links with Enzo from his time at river plate. Recently left that job as well, so currently available. Known for starting to build up from a solid defence as well, which is something we lack a lot of the time. For the people in this forum who havent heard of him, which I suspect is most of you, here's a quick read on his profile: https://www.coachesvoice.com/coach-watch-marcelo-gallardo-barcelona-monaco-river-plate/ Great style of play, tactically flexible and known for improving and devloping players a lot, especially the younger ones. He would be my ideal choice as he seems to tick all the boxes for me

Mason Mount
Thats not entirely what I said. I said the BASE wages would be lower, but with the performance based bonuses it could go higher than what he earns currently. I saw something somewhere saying Enzo as on 300k a week, and also somewhere that says hes on about 150k a week. I can only assume that the difference in reports, which is never this far off, is the difference between base wages and the max he could get with the bonuses. Plus when you are earning this much money anyway, I dont think it makes too much difference anyway. A player would more likely take slightly less wages if it means hes much happier

Mason Mount
Felix wont be on 250k a week, the way our new wages have been structured (jan signings onwards) they are actually all on quite lowish wages, with performances bonuses to make them go higher. I think Mudryk is on under 100k and Enzo is on about 150k base wages. Highly doubt felix is gonna get 250k base

Kai Havertz
there were some rumours that madrid were interested a month or so back.. But apart from Madrid and Bayern, not sure what other big team there is that can afford to pay the 50-60m for him

BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
As long as we go big on selling this summer, we will still be okay I feel p.s we are set to lose a people on free's as well like Kante who is on 290k a week. Only issue I see is how much can we realistically sell before june 30th? Im sure we can agree on some deals before the summer as well, like how Xavier simons is joining hull. p.s we are sill sorting out our main shirt sponsor for the summer, so that could also help massively with income
-
BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
the 600m isnt literally 600m, due to amortization even per player it wont work out that much in total. If we manage to get a lot of outgoings in the summer and we get the buyer clubs to pay most of those fee's, or at least large parts of it up front then that will cover us. Saying that, its likely we will need a massive influx from selling players as we look more and more likely to miss out on top 4 and hence CL money

Our New Stadium
Craven Cottage seems like a good shout. Arent they looking to do an extension as well? 4 years seems like an awfully long time away though, how long did the spuds stadium build take?

Christian Pulisic - Official
lets take this thread back on track then shall we... Great performance from Pulisic for USA the other night. I know it was only Grenada but what a frustrating player, he clearly has the ability in him but injuries coupled with being so 50/50 when he does play you never know what sort of performance you'll get out of him. I stand by saying that on his day though, he is definitely one of our best attackers

Man City Women V Chelsea Women (WSL) Sun 26th March 2023 12:40
poor performance from the ladies, usually deal with City quite well - onwards and upwards!

Another Winger! - Noni Madueke
that is a definite fault on potter, hes managing like a complete scared man at the moment. As soon as we go up, all he wants to do is defend that lead. I hope he ends up learning from the Everton game and doesnt resort to that anymore.
-
Another Winger! - Noni Madueke
Quality player and goes to show the competence of our new board and their level of scouting for the January signings. Sure he could have probably played a bit more for the first team so far, but with young talented players like him its always best to slowly ease in especially as he's coming from a much weaker league
-
Levi Colwill
Rolls Royce of a defender for his age, just needs to try stay injury free as it seems hes already had a couple of pretty big ones
