  2. One of my boyhood heroes, so happy that he was involved with the Club for as long as his too short life aloud. R.I.P Ossie.
  3. It's so rare our strikers make a mark on a game that one goal sticks out enough to make them seem like the best of the bunch. I thought Torres was ok aainst Gala but offered nothing more than usual in a game where we should have been comfortably ahead in the first half, I have little faith in our strike force but I think when Hazard is on song, Eto'o is the better fit as an attacking option, they just seem to have a better understanding and I much prefer Eto's movement.
  4. I totally agree Just, Mancini done his bit and it worked, I just thought we could have done more before he made the change and felt Jose was fairly happy to take a draw away. Even second half when they had a bit of a good patch I felt Jose could have reshuffled and got a result but he brought on Mikel and saw it out, I'd wager if it was a one leg game he'd have come away with the win. I think he's happy enough to win the game at home it's just personally I'd have preferred to take a risk for the win there.
  5. I wouldn't be expecting 3 or four per game but when we are so superior I'd expect us to at east look to be trying to take advantage of that. I've seen every game this season and been happy enough that we've had the balance right in most but tonight I really thinks taking a lead home would have been attainable with a bit more ambition.
  6. Yeah but the theory (my theory) is that a world class striker will mean the tactics are very different, Jose has admitted he has little faith in the strikers we have and he's right, hopefully he will let a few of the talented attacking players off the leash a bit if he has real belief that his main main will bag a fair percentage of goals. I must admit at the moment winning is what matters but I wouldn't be adverse to some entertainment to go with it.
  7. That's what I'm hoping, I'm patient but tonights game has even got to me...when you look at the way we countered against City in the league you know we have it in us but games like this where we score and then slow down on breaks we get as if we know we can see it out are bad for the blood pressure. It may be a risky strategy and Jose knows how to get games won (this is only half time obviously) but I'd love to see us go a bit gung ho when we get a lead if only to build some confidence.
  8. The scary thing is Drogba will be at home as well.
  9. I'd have taken the result before the game, disappointing though after watching the game.
  10. Spot on, I do think we could have been a bit more aggressive though, a clinical finisher would make a world of difference but the players we have just looked to be holding back a bit to me.
  11. I wasn't meaning with the Mikel sub, I meant that we could have been more ambitious before that.
  12. I agree with Scott and think we started shutting up shop too soon, not what I'd have wanted but all is not lost and we should be ok at home. Just seems like we never push on when we are by far the better team, something Jose seems happy enough with.
  13. I've got no complaints at all, 1-0 up away at this stage of the CL with a home tie to look forward to and a bit of rest for some of our boys feels fine from where I'm sitting. Good game for Shurrle to get a bit of sharpness, he's been hit and miss but I'd expect that through the lack of games.
  14. Chelsea 1-0 @ 13/2 Stake : £4.00 Estimated Returns : £30.00 And 26 Feb 2014 - Galatasaray v Chelsea - First Goal Scorecast Andre Schurrle / Chelsea 1-0 @ 35/1 Stake : £2.00 Estimated Returns : £72.00 Half any returns to the site.
  15. I'd love to see Drogba swap shirts with Torres...at about seven fourty four, he can give him it back around half nine.
  16. I still think Oscar gets a bit more stick for below par performances because of the hard time Mata had getting games ahead of him and the fact that Mata was sold because Jose is happy to have Oscar as his number ten. I feel Oscar has only had a couple of really poor games and others that we haven't seen him at his best some have been hyper critical because of the Mata reasoning and because of how good he can be when he is on fire. People have to face the fact that Jose picks the team and he is building it with hard working players with not little skill, I am convinced if Oscar had less of a workload he could look a lot better going forward and create for others as well as himself but he has that workload and once we have a squad of players Jose feels are right, I think he will get a bit more freedom to show us more. Mata wasn't given to a rival, Jose had 37mill towards the war chest which even if you rate Mata very highly and don't care if he wasn't working the way the manager wanted is a very fair price. We've already spent some of that pretty wisely in my opinion. I think Willian or Hazard can play the role if Oscar is injured or rested and that gives chances to Shurrle or Salah and although I would have liked to have hung on to KDB, that would have meant less opportunity to these two. I liked to watch Mata when he was making things happen but I honestly think we are stronger without him in the first eleven, yes there are games it would be nice to have a bit more guile to open teams up but I feel much less like we'll concede with the attacking midfielders working as hard as they do. I'm looking forward to seeing what Jose has in mind for next season, I think it could be a real treat.

  18. I think Jose's comment was a bit harsh on Eto'o if anything, Eto'o came from a league where he was likely to be rusty, he looked as if he was happy to wind down his career in easier circumstances and on a huge income but came here as a stopgap striker in the toughest league to play in once you lose a bit of pace or strength. Of the three strikers we have, he has been here the shortest time and fitted in better than the other two, he works quite hard and links up well, if he was our back up to a top quality striker it wouldn't be a bad thing. He can't play every game but I like that he still seems confident even though it must have been a shock to his system playing in the premiership, he's done ok without setting the prem on fire which is as much as we all probably expected, I doubt Jose expected much more from him.

I think it is but it isn't the streams like wizwig or whatever we usually pick up, I think its foreign tv stations and the streams are good quality (thats what I've been told) I think DKW or Undertow would be the ones to ask.

I got an android xbmc box and it just kept buffering all the time, I'm on 30 meg broadband and can't understand why. I bought one with all the bits done so was plug and play, but sent it back the next day, can't understand it as my step sons Dad has the same one up in Barnsley working a treat. I usually find a stream and plug my laptop into the hdmi on the tele which is ok but I thought the Android box would be easier. I did download xbmc to the laptop but haven't got a clue how to get the plug ins and what have you to get anything working.
  21. Here we go, a player who has been one of our most important has hit a dip in form and he's suddenly got no ball control and can't pass or dribble. We're talking about one of our most talented players here who has been given an extra workload this season under Jose and for the most of it has been one of our stand out performers. I'm sure a bit of rest is all he needs and if he wasn't such a special player he'd be getting that, Jose knows hes a reliable performer and even though he's been singled out for under performing on a few occasions he has really only had two real poor games. Some of his attacking threat has been blunted with the extra responsibility Jose has put on him but he's still scored his share.
  22. Thought Robbie was superb, he got a squad together that was going backwards and took it to CL glory and an FA Cup to boot. He managed it with a woefully out of form striker and in my opinion he was worried that not playing that striker would shorten his time with us, it s all been debated many times but I can't resist putting another point of view after seeing people doubting he was the right man for us, I think he was and although Roman made up for the Benitez appointment by bringing back a man who is right for us, for me that doesn't mean he is the only one. A bad run of form in November has happened here on a regular basis, Robbie would have come out the other side of that better than and with out the need for the interim but never got the chance. It takes more than luck to drag a team that was visibly a shadow of itself under AVB to european Champions and Robbie will always be given the benefit of any doubt by me and hopefully a few others.
  23. There's whole forums created for those opposition fans, none have Chelsea in the title... Do people never digress in other threads? is the thread title "Following our nearest and dearest" an invite for opposition fans to come in and talk in a thread where our own fans mentioning what has been said in a rival teams game being a bit different to what might have been said if it was a Chelsea game are expected to "create a new thread for it" ?
  24. If you find it tedious its easy enough to skip to the next post, people on here don't have to have the same opinions and these type posts to me are nothing like overdosing on slagging off our own players even though sometimes it's almost justified, I don't think the people talking about anti Chelsea are the same ones making ridiculous one word insults to our players in those threads and if they are putting them down they likely explain why without resorting to profanities or such. I wouldn't compare Spud to the average opposition fan (who are not all bad) and would be sure that when the latest crop of them have vanished (quicker with every competition their teams drop out of) Spud will be here, he isn't imagining Spurs will win the league and he can tell us all about it, he's just a generally nice bloke that got a bit lost in his early days of being a football supporter. Anyway the point is people can be as upset as they like on here about what they feel are injustices against the club and it still (for me) beats listening to the boasts of people dizzy with the thought of rubbing our noses in a their possible success.
  25. I didn't hear the comment Joey but my point is that people have opinions on it and it's perfectly within their rights to come on here and air their views, If you or I don't agree its simple enough to say something like "I didn't think he was being anti Chelsea myself" a debate might even start that doesn't involve the Title race being between Us, City and the gooners. I don't have a lot to say about the pundits, journalists and the feeling that they seem in the majority to cut a lot more slack to other teams than they do us but I can often be heard shouting at the tele, ripping up the newspaper or wearing out the mute button on my remote so it must be noticeable and therefore postworthy in my opinion. Not a lot going on on here so I really don't see why people wouldn't be happy to read whatever gets written. anyway I'm gonna get the newspapers out of the bin and read how unlucky City and Arsenal have been to be cheated, how nasty Robben is and how Wenger will turn it around in the away leg...if I can get past the Pelegrini's revenge on Jose stuff without screwing them up again .
