I totally agree. I hear he was unhappy at Villa coz he was in and out of the team so why would he go to us when as soon as Drogba comes back he wont get a look in?

So you want us to be the next Arsenal? Is that right? Dont get me wrong im as pleased as the next guy when a truely tallented youngster comes through the ranks but to risk the league and cups just to give the youngsters a chance isnt good business imo. If we got a player like Aguero who is 21 he could serve chelsea for the next 10 to 12 years and he is already performing at the top level of football or you have Borini who bless his cotton socks does try but even his own agent said he isnt a natural but he works hard. So the question is do we risk dropping more points while Drogba is away or does Frank and Roman ignore Ancelotti and go out and get us a goal scorer. I personally hope that Roman puts his hand in his pocket and buys coz lets face it Ancelotti won 1 or 2 league titles with Milan over 7 or so years i think. Do we really want to wait another couple of years for the league and hope that we win the Champions League (that sounds just like Liverpool to me).

I agree, if we were to be signing him then surely a medical would be set up and agents would be around. I dont hold much hope anymore.

Does anyone else feel there is a lack or scouting or prep work on the management side? For example when Jose was here he knew the team we was playing inside out and the players knew who they could be facing inside out thanks to the scouting and attention to detail that Jose had. Yesterday Carlo blamed too many games but the only player who would not be use to that would be Yuri. Every other single player is use to playing in england and knows what to expect so the only other person who isnt use to playing so many games around this time of year is the manager himself. I remeber Jose once saying that he knew the team who Chelsea would play 6 games in advance. Dont get me wrong here im not saying i want Jose back or i want Carlo sacked or anything but to me it just seems a few times this season Chelsea has looked like they are not clued up about the other team.

To be honest i dont think the young strikers are good enough yet, they need to go out on loan and lets see how they cope much like we have done with Di Santo. Also in a few years DD and Nico will be getting on a bit and most likely wont be up to the standard that we need so I dont think it would be a bad idea at all to get Aguero in Jan

I was never a fan of Mikel but i have to admit he has improved as a player imo. I dont think he is good enough to be a first team regular but he could be an ok squad player for us.

Hardly a big loss. Hopefully it will give Danny a go if he is fit enough. He wont improve his game on the treatment table but then again he hasnt improved his game since he has been a chelsea player anyway.

We dont need the Carling cup? Surely we should be trying to win everything. As a poster said before the players who went out last night should have beat Blackburn and it was stupid of Carlo to make all 3 subs at half time.

I am starting to get a bit worried as all the recent news points to us not signing anyone. I really hope that this isnt the case and the board and manager are not just hoping we will get by coz if the ban isnt over turned we could be asking for trouble.

I think people are looking at this all wrong. Yes we might sign him in Jan but then its highly possible that we wont be able to sign anyone else for at least a year. So i think we do need to sign one or two players while we can. The likes of Deco and Ballack will need to be replaced in the summer and if we cant sign anyone then we need to do it in Jan.

Has anyone heard any news about the appeal on the transfer ban? Is there a set date when we will hear? I hear all this talk of transfers in Jan so i guess the press think that the ban will be suspended.

Am i the only one who isnt too worried by this? For starters i dont think the ban will stick after a huge appeal by Chelsea and secondly we have a good squad, yes there are a few players the wrong side of 30 but all of them have another season in them, not only that we have sent out a huge amount of players on loan, if we recalled half of them they could support the first team. I would love to see players like Sinclair, Stoch and Woods given a chance.

I cant see us buying anyone today. I am rather disappointed with chelsea's effort in the transfer window this summer.

I agree with Bluenut, we cant really talk about transfer fees. 30 million on a 30 year old Sheva makes less sense than 24 million on a 26 year old Lescott.
