As good as Modric is, it just doesn't make sense to do business with a rival for even greater extorted fees than we could do with Porto. Plus at his age the return on investment just does not quite make sense to me. I think there is something better we can do, especially since there is a rebuilding aspect to the club right now.

I didn't think he would be eligible for England but it sounds like this still might come about as Ace has said. I'm not sure on the details and am too lazy too even google it at this point. That being said I wouldn't blame a player of his calibre for wanting to play for the Lions but would still think that if that falls through playing for Canada should be better than playing for Jamaica. So who is going to take our pens now with the addition of Hazard? I still think Super Frank will be taking the ball at the 12 yard spot in his quest for 200 CFC goals with Hazard splitting the rest of the dead ball duties with whomever is added ie a Hulk or some other addition. I think the sooner Frank hits those milestones, 200, 202 and 203 the sooner we will see more of him from the penalty spot.

It does sound like Joe Cole talked him up right about the club, so we have to thank the old winger as well in this case I believe.
