Not sure why Meireles was signed in the short term, sill really. But I think I do like the thought of Fellaini here more and mroe, did not realise he was so young either. I like Romeu but I think Fellaini is a better player. Not sure what's going to happen to the guy, whether he goes back to Barca or not, but seems silly not to play him at all.

Ya I am the same, definitely feeling the same modes as last year a little bit where we would lose a game or two a lose confidence, dropping points consecutively. Yet this is too be a new younger team, it continues to be on the back of Hazard to generate something with the rest of the team hoping to contribute a little as well. Still waiting for players like Mata to step up in my opinion.

I have to agree, Yaya is one of the players I definitely envy, would love to have him on our squad. Kinda glad to see Citeh lose, don't have anything against them but always like seeing a Prem rival drop points for some reason either in Europe or in domestics. There's only 1 team in England

Hopefully Mata gets the rest he needs during the international break and come back fresh and more Mata like. He has played quite a bit this last year, the fatigue could be more important than we would think.

Nottingham Forest won 2 European Cups. Does that make them better than us? Shouldn't something be said about maintaining standards of consistency in winning European Cups, Leagues, and FA cups?

The only patern that is somewhat worrisome is that of our defence, on the other hand this team came out like an exhibition game so lets not draw conclusions there yet either. By early December we should have an idea of where this team is at.

Exactly. While many of us wanted to win another European cup, we simply started out like an exhibition game and enough cannot be said about Falcao, the guy is a beast.

Not to mention the midfield didn't track back at all on the counterattacks, Atletico simply wanted more. If this sort of thing becomes a habit we can start talking about something being wrong with the tactics, but as it is the personnel is built to attack and they generally looked good when doing so.
