  1. I agree. Sure some of our traveling fans might like some of the warmer destinations, but those long travels are a lot rougher on our squad than they are a holiday for the away fans.
  2. For me it was the CL game 08. For some reason I was not as tense in 2012, perhaps it was because I felt like we had nothing to lose this time (despite the whole 6th place prem and money, etc) in terms of we just were not expected to win. But even when Bayern scored or Mata was saved, I just kind of accepted it. I absolutely lost my mind when Drogba equalized and won it, but I can say I wasn't as tense. The entire 08 affair for me was a mess though.
  3. I agree, I wanted Hulk quite badly in the spring, but now that we have Bertrand, Marin, Moses, Oscar, Ramires, to back up the likes of Hazard and Mata it hardly seems a necessity to pick up Hulk at all. Not even at £30
  4. And somehow we've always met Liverpool in the past, when they were able to qualify that is.

I am really eager to see this guy in the Chelsea Blue, I may not expect him to be a superstar a la Hazard, but perhaps its the fanboy in my that believes he can really be a solid contributor and possible starter for years to come for this squad. I just want to see what he can do for us already. I think I have more hope for him than Marin at this point myself.
  6. Perhaps it is not our nearest and dearest but I am actually happy that there are teams like PSG now in the Ligue 1. I do not expect to see them contend at this time but I think it is great for the CL if the French league can produce some competitive teams in the near future as in the days when Marseille was a dominant unit. I think the one thing hurting the CL is that there are still 5-6 dominant teams that will almost always make the knockout stage and it would be great if some other national leagues can produce teams that can compete again. Also it is great to see Lille do well, I think there is a little CFC connection with Hazard and the whole Joe Cole and Kalou thing there.
  7. God I would love this to no end.
  8. If it comes to a penalty I wonder if Hazard will take it with Mikel talking in Courtois' ear saying "He knows which way your going to go, he's going to score."
  9. And Lille wins in order to secure the spot in the third pot. Looks like Hazard would of got champions league football either way, but safe to say he is in better hands now.
  10. Pots are almost finalised now: Seeding pot 1 Chelsea (title holder) Barcelona Manchester United Bayern Munich Real Madrid Arsenal Porto Milan Seeding pot 2 Valencia Benfica Shakhtar Donetsk Zenit St. Petersburg Schalke 04 Manchester City Braga Dynamo Kyiv Seeding pot 3 Olympiacos Ajax Anderlecht Juventus Spartak Moscow Paris Saint-Germain Galatasaray Copenhagen / Lille Seeding pot 4 Celtic Borussia Dortmund BATE Borisov Dinamo Zagreb CFR Cluj Málaga Montpellier Nordsjælland
  11. PSG are in the third pot after yesterday
  12. I would mod goal 6 to point out that there was no goalie as well
  13. I agree completely, along with more Brits
  14. Ya it is in celebration of the 150th year of the English Football Association. But it is still kind of odd in that they new this was going to happen already so why have it here two years ago yet? I dunno, but it is fine by me, especially if we can make the final again.
  15. Can one surmise from the team we played against Newcastle that Lampard's fitness at this point is somewhat suspect and that RDM prefers Meireles in the more marquis matchups from a defensive aspect? There's been a lot of talk from fans about seeing Ramires in the pivot role but have we seen him there yet? My guess is it is unlikely to happen as even in the smaller cup games that Oscar is likely to see some starting time there to assess his ability as the pivot.
  16. Certainly Roman's vision of beautiful football for Chelsea is coming to light
  17. I fancy a matchup with Celtic as well. But I don't think these pots are confirmed until the CL playdowns are over this Wednesday.
  18. As for the trash media goes, I can't believe how ordinary his girl is and the fact he had a kid two years ago, lads a superstar footballer at 21, plenty of time for that later.
  19. To be fair, Reading showed that we have a few chinks in our armour as well
  20. And now he has a somewhat Nigerian homie to hang with
  21. Always love these videos but I would hate to be that person videoing a game. Put down the cam and enjoying myself would be my tactic!
  22. The article is also relevant if you argue that if Terry's penalty was an inch towards the left and on the right in 2008 that he would still be writing the same article, that's sports get over it.
  23. Who's that lad in the upper right of the picture. I bet he fancies winning this cup again as well
  24. she must be disappointed
