ace
Marin, Hazard (both of them), Oscar, Azpilicueta, Moses, and the Musonda lads, what a summer.
dkw
Marin, Hazard (both of them), Oscar, Azpilicueta, Moses, and the Musonda lads, what a summer. Its pretty much a complete rebuild of the squad over the past few windows if you include Cahill, Luiz, Torres and Ramires. No-one can question Romans dedication to the cause now surely. KrazyTea
I really like him as a rotational and cup player, who knows he might even find himself as a first-team regular, even with this stellar team at this point. He's only 21 for christ sake. The only thing we are really lacking at this point I would say is a CF with confidence and who can create something out of nothing and two me our centre backs aren't as imposing as the Carvalho and Terry pairing that was so successful here for so long. PloKoon13
Nice one, hopefully we will no longer feel understocked on the flanks. We have signed Moses, Marin and Hazard this window.

No-one can question Romans dedication to the cause now surely. Wasn't Roman going to jack it in and walk away when we won the Champions League?? That's what the bitters would have had you believe........ Guess they might have to re-think that one now..... in fact I have already heard a bitter Manure fan I know say that Roman is just stringing us along untill he gets his hands on Stamford Bridge to sell and make his money back and theh he will be off. That has clearly been his plan from day one..... Bless em'

dkw
I would think it would be too soon, though it wouldnt surprise me to see both him and Azzi (this is what I will call him, I aint trying to spell that every time) on the bench
timetowaste
Don't teams have to register players a couple of days before the game? I remember SSN saying that RVP had to sign by a certain day so that he could play against Everton.
mclovin83
I think you are probably right, does he even have a squad number yet?
dkw
Good point that, so probably get to see them both in the Super dooper cup then.
Bobbywoodhogan
Does everyone think we'd have definitely signed him if he hadn't played so well against us?

The Moos
Wasn't Roman going to jack it in and walk away when we won the Champions League?? That's what the bitters would have had you believe........ Guess they might have to re-think that one now..... in fact I have already heard a bitter Manure fan I know say that Roman is just stringing us along untill he gets his hands on Stamford Bridge to sell and make his money back and theh he will be off. That has clearly been his plan from day one..... Bless em' Even if Roman would get a tattoo of the Chelsea crest all over his back and write a contract that ensures him staying at Chelsea and keep spending money for 20 more years there would still be people saying "No, he'll leave you any day now". And I find it funny that people are still claiming that Chelsea will crash and burn if he leaves. As if the club is making no money at all. Let's say Roman leaves tomorrow and the club is sold to someone who will not invest a cent. We will still get money from transfers, tickets and more. I even think that we might afford a Torres size transfer. And looking at our youth academy it really seems like it's getting better and better. Players are now starting to come through the ranks and having a shot at the first team (Bertrand is there and Piazon is not far behind). So if we can't spend money on loads of players we should still be able to get a youth or two into the first team who might do well. And if not I'm sure we can get some millions by selling them. All in all, I feel that the club has built a solid foundation so that if Roman leaves we can stay one of the best teams in the world. And since I don't know much about club owners I have to ask: Do they usually leave after 10-15 years or do they stay longer? Seeing as Roman does appear to be very interested in - and even in love with - Chelsea he will probably stay for years to come. And if he one day feels that "Oh well, I think my time has to come to step down" I'm sure he will ensure that the club ends up in good hands. He won't throw it away to just anyone. dkw
Hasn't he said in the past the club well go to his son if Roman wants to leave?
2211
I'm happy with this one, I think he will turn out to be a good signing for Chelsea. I think the cut off point for playing tomorrow was midday today. The main thing for me is that we get any players signed in time to play in the Super Cup next Friday, as this is proper trophy and a rare chance to win it. ace
I keep forgetting he plays for Nigeria and not England. He will likely be leaving us for the ACN in January, and man do I hate that tournament.
SydneyChelsea
Hasn't he said in the past the club well go to his son if Roman wants to leave? No, but the trust that he uses to fund the club is reportedly in his son's name, not his.
bluelion111
No, but the trust that he uses to fund the club is reportedly in his son's name, not his. His son's also a massive Chelsea fan :)
