It's gotta be Courtois, but let him split duties with Cech. He has much to teach him if Courtois lets him. Then after a year or preferably two, Courtois becomes the main man. The problem here is you gotta get past pride for this to happen.

Not utterly sh*te, but unfairly compared to his transfer fee and wages. If he'd been got for 25 or so it would be a completely different story. On the plus side, his transfer killed Liverpool.

A good bench player, fills a void, and he won't be asking for transfers like our previous bench warmers.

Losing Mata sucks but realistically he wasn't going to get any playing time. One thing that does help us in the short term by selling to Man United is that Mata helps that team against some of our key rivals. I wonder if this sale would of gone down if we hadn't played and won against Man Yoo, my guess is it wouldn't of. A negative now is that we have a really short bench all of a sudden after selling two key players, so we'll have to see if someone like Salah comes in as a replacement for that purpose. Mata will always be loved here but he had a tendency to fade in big games and despite his fan affinity he didn't seem to line up with the manager's expectations. Football is a business and time will tell if it was a silly move or not

Matic has to start this one, seems the most likely for him to get his legs back under him while back in England with a start against Citeh possible. He's not even practicing with the team right now.

Then I guess his full field display of skill will be the most useful including his ability to run back and cover on defence.

Haha always a little scary when one dreams about football (sports), but that would be a bit of a real life and plausible nightmare.

As far as scoring goals go, the kid just turned 23 and still has to find that scoring touch in the English Premier League. He'll be alright and has justly been one of our top players this year. But some people aren't happy if the stats sheet doesn't have the numbers padded...

That younger lot also spend a sh*t ton more on overpriced beer and other assorted odds and ends. The extra price of our beer alone pays for 350,000 wages a year compared to other teams. Now just add another 15-20,000 thirsty lads n lasses.

I don't really get this fanatical love of Mata, he's an amazing player, our best offensive player over the last couple of seasons, but what did that get us? Fighting for our championship lives and a player who was fairly quiet in our big CL final. Oscar is the best player right now and in the long run, perhaps not the most popular (just yet) but I still prefer winning games and silverware and think this is the best route of going about it.
