We have to cut sergey some slack, our non-Brit fans don't always know much about other clubs and rivalries. Call it Johny come lately or whatever but if you look at what Newcastle has done in say the last five years, you wouldn't really call them a big club.

I thought Paulo still looked rusty and by that mean really bad. A second rate winger from a Korean side should not be skinning him like that. Lamps' free kicks and corners still suck. Lamps and Sidwell dont seem to be needed, Essien is doing all their work for them. JC made some good runs and Kalous had some bright moments.

John Obi Mikel for me. Especially with the lack of big name signings till now and with his displays in the second half of the season I think Mikel will cement his place in the first team this season. Has been said many times already but the boy oozes class when he is on the ball and with some tactical discipline instilled in him by Maka and JM he, I think, will become versatile enough to play anywhere in midfield.
