Last Movie You Watched
I watched Book of Eli earlier on. Was a good watch certainly. I enjoyed it and it kept me interested the whole way through, but I doubt I'd watch it again... or at least not for a good while, because the fact that it takes over an hour to reveal the plot is one of it's most interesting features.... Tried to watch Zombieland afterwards, and couldn't make it past 20 minutes.

I know we sold him, but banning him as well? Surely a little harsh?

From Stamford Bridge to ...
Hutch, I believe he was saying the opposite of this. If we were to stay at Stamford Bridge, and get a sponsored name, we would be likely to receive less than other teams, such as Arsenal have, because to us Stamford Bridge will always be Stamford Bridge. I think that's what he meant, anyway.

From Stamford Bridge to ...
I think the best way they could settle this situation is to produce an outline of exactly what the new stadium would be, possibly some artwork, and how the transport links would work. Send that to every member and ST holder, and give them a vote each. Let the members and season ticket holders decide, it's the only real way, as they're the ones who will be buying the tickets for the new stadium, if they would like to move, or if they wouldn't, it'd set it up. As far as I'm aware the options for raising the extra money were in order: 1. Expand Stamford Bridge 2. Sponsored name 3. Relocation. So if they're reconsidering this, does that mean that options one, and two didn't work out? So most likely they couldn't expand Stamford Bridge because of planning permission, and possibly couldn't raise enough money through a sponsored name. Which would leave the last and least desirable option. That's my take on why this is coming round again.

Andy Carroll?
He will give us something we don't have; a woman beater... No thanks. I'd rather we had a 50 year old Drogba struggling up front than the c**t that Carroll is. He's living with Nolan because of his bail agreement, and Nolan's girlfriend/wife (not sure which) moved out because of it... then Carroll brings home a couple of local slags to make the papers about a coke fuelled orgy... exactly what we need.

It comes down to the link
That's what I believe Benayoun is for, as a sort of bridge between the two eras. He's going to last past Lampard, but only by a season of two, allowing Josh to come in and become the main man... I think their hope is that we may have another youngster showing promise by that point... but if not we can sign someone then... signing someone now, would limit Josh's appearances and reduce his chances of actually making it at all. Obviously this is all how I see it going, and not necessarily how it will work, but I'm just basing it on my best guess of how I think the decisions have been made by the coaching staff.

It comes down to the link
I believe Ancelotti was quoted as saying that they expect McEachran to be a first choice midfielder within two seasons, I expect that he is what they are waiting for. If he fails to make it, then of course sign someone, but until then, we'd only need a stop-gap... a skill-full midfielder with experience of the Premier league, who can score goals, but more importantly create and play in the hole behind the strikers... someone like Benayoun? I'm fully confident in the plan the club have put in place, signing a player on the back of a defeat is panicked and can only end badly. Everything needs to be considered, especially in this financial climate.

It comes down to the link
So you believe Lampard's career is over right now? He has a minimum of two seasons left in my view, which should be enough for McEachran, or for a non-panicked replacement to be purchased.

I'll go with that.

Liverpool v Chelsea (PL) 7/11/10, 16:00 KO GMT
Personally I'd go for something slightly different in this game... Cech Ivan - Alex - Terry - Cole Mikel Essien - Ramires Malouda-------------------------------Zhirkov Drogba Or failing that, Anelka for Zhirkov (moving Anelka to the right, Malouda left). I see us wanting to have a strong and stable centre, and with Zhirkov in the centre, we lack something there. He has improved massively there's no denying that, he's on his way to proving doubters wrong, and I can see why people would want him to carry on his form, but I think this might be the type of game where that isn't the main concern. I see it as being more important than trying to give a player confidence. The trio of Essien, Mikel and Ramires gives us a far more solid base to build attacks from. IT may lack a little in terms of creativity, but it allows the front three to push on more, and use their creativity to break them down. With Cole and Ivan well known for bombing on, the chances are Liverpool will look to play on that. With a more defensive minded central three, covering it, will be easier in my view. Of course Carlo knows best, but I do think he may opt for this team.

Spyin Kop
* How have you found the season so far? I can't imagine you have too much cause for complaint. I've been delighted with how we've been so far, with the changes in the summer, where we were focussing on getting the average age of our squad down, and the wage bill down too, I wasn't expecting a great season. I was expecting this to be a season of transition, and it probably still is that, but to keep the results flowing at the same time is a great sign for us. With McEachran showing he has the ability to be a bit special, this really does make it an amazing era to be a blue in. * After the managerial changes you've made in the past few years, is Ancelotti for keeps? How do you guys think he compares to Mourinho, Hiddink, etc.? And, more importantly, do you think Abramovic will get bored of him? I would certainly hope he is. Mourinho is a massively difficult person to replace, not just in terms of his ability, but his character and aura, too. Grant did well enough with Mourinho's team, and possibly deserved another season if I'm honest, it's just after Mourinho there was a huge vacuum of personality which Grant just could never fill. Scolari was a mistake, and although we started very well under him, it just fell apart in a big way. Hiddink brought us back from the brink. He was sensational in every way. He turned Malouda's entire Chelsea career around and brought the best out of pretty much everyone. You could ask for nothing more, especially from what was in effect a caretaker manager. Carlo though, what a man. Look at that left eyebrow, go on look. It has a mind of his own, truly the sign of a genius. He wanted to bring in his favoured 4-4-2 diamond, but was quick enough, and sensible enough to realise it wasn't working and change his plans. We now have a slightly odd asymmetric 4-3-3 system, which works wonders for us. His tactics are great, his substitutions are usually right, and he's bringing the youngsters through for us, which takes a massive amount of financial pressure off. He's exactly the manager we need now, and for the next few years. He's the type of manager who is here to set us up for the long term, and hopefully will be here to see it through. * Who are the Chelsea players that we should be looking out for on Sunday? Anybody who's particularly shone this season other than the usual big names? Mikel. He has been brilliant this season, and many supporters of other teams haven't seen enough of him to notice yet. Kalou, could well show off how he's improved, although I'm not sure if he'll start. He's got the ability to drift past players, only his finishing lets him down, really, which isn't particularly bad, it's just erratic. * Any poor players this season? Anyone you'd like to get shot of? As has been mentioned by the others so far, we haven't really had a weak link show up yet. Turnbull is a bit of a weak link I suppose, but he's a backup. I'll admit I've been a little disappointed with Sturridge's attitude in a couple of performances, but he's young and hopefully age will improve that. * What kind of style are you likely to play against us? Attacking, defensive? Any idea of the possible formation or lineup? I think we're going to have solid look to the central midfield, and rely on our front three to provide the threat. Mikel, Essien and Ramires giving a solid look in the middle, Zhirkov, Anelka/Kalou and Drogba as the front three. * Which Liverpool players do you rate? Anybody you think likely to cause you problems on Sunday? The obvious ones are Torres and Gerrard. Gerrard will try his hollywood passes and shots all game, which when they work galvanise your entire team, and Torres is still top class, despite his injury problems. * Over the summer, we got Joe Cole off you (currently injured and likely to miss the match) and you got Benayoun of us (who's got a long term injury apparently). Who did better in that deal? As Loz said above, I don't think either of us did well out of the deal. You got a player whose best years are seemingly behind him, and hadn't played well for us for the last 2 seasons. We got a player who'll be out for half the season. If Joe turns it around you may well get the better of it in the end, however I'm not convinced he will. * How much are you likely to miss Lampard? Does having him out of the lineup change much? I don't think it'll be much of a difference, we'll just be a slightly more conservative side with Mikel, Essien and Ramires as the central three. The creativity will have to come from the front three, but against the better sides that is no bad thing. It makes us less likely to concede and allows the front three more freedom to catch you on the break. * It's been 7 years since Abramovich arrived in English football. What are you guys thoughts on him? What do you think of him as an owner, and what do you think of his impact on the English game? I'm starting to get tired of this whole typing thing, so my answers will start to get shorter now... Roman is probably the best owner any fan could hope for... he had a well thought out plan from the start. He knew how much he'd spend at the start to get us to the top. Once we got there, he had us set up with a top quality infrastructure, youth, wages under control now, the ingredients for long term stability. He isn't an owner who takes decisions lightly it seems, and pays to have the right advisers around him. He's all we could ask, hope, or dream of. As far as his impact on the English game, he really hasn't changed that much. Many complain that he raised prices and that may be there, but prices were always rising anyway. He may have given other billionaires the idea to try what he did so well, but that's about it. People kept on moaning about it ruining football, but in my (probably biased) view at least, he did it in the right way. * Do you have any particular memory of a previous meeting between our clubs? Geremi scoring the fourth past you in a wonderful 4-1 win. * Have any of you been to Anfield, and do you have any memories (positive or negative) of the place? I'm not one for the away days, being a poor student, it's not really something I can do. * Any good songs that we're likely to hear from your fans? Will you be bringing your plastic flags? Where's your famous atmosphere? * Care to predict the score? I'm not one for predictions, but it'll be close all game. Until we score, and then catch you on the break to seal the deal. 0-2 * And finally, did that ball cross the line? No, but it was given, so we have to deal with it and move on.

Mikel
You can call me a pessimist, but I'm not sure Mikel is the right person to mark Gerrard... Mikel is possibly the slowest player in our side (including Cech), and Gerrard although not blisteringly fast, has enough pace to give him a few yards on Mikel. Essien has a history of being able to keep him quiet (ok, silent), so maybe he should be given that role.

Chelsea vs Spartak Moscow (CL) 3/11/2010 1945 KO
The thing with Kalou is that he does have that little spark, and can make things happen, he can beat players, he can open teams up, it's just that sometimes his finishing lets him down, and when that starts to happen he loses confidence and his whole game gets worse. When he's finishing well, like the end of last season, he's f**king brilliant to have, just when his head goes down from a couple of misses, like towards the end of the game last night, it affects his entire game. I'm definitely glad we have him here, it's just that he's a confidence player, which for someone who's on the edges of the squad isn't all that useful, because there are times when he's needed and if he's not confident for whatever reason he doesn't play well. On the other hand if he is confident when we need him, all is dandy.

I think it was that and a reference to his ability to beat players... it's everything that kalou is, both brilliant and frustratingly sh*t at the same time.

Serious there only in the sense of video editing though... Music and video editing, macs are the top choice for, definitely... but not much more than that. What grinds my gears about Macs though, is the fact that they're c**ts.... Mac OS/x is a copy of BSD (a completely free, open source operating system, available for download legally and without repercussions) made to look all shiny. c**tish behaviour, they then changed some things under the hood to stop you from being able to use Mac software on BSD (because it's free and that would be bad for business). It really annoys me, and it probably does seem petty to you all, but yeah, grrrrr.

Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals
Well if you go by Mensa's standards, where they only accept the top 2% of the world's population in terms of their intelligence, you could put Nani in the top 2% of the population in terms of footballing ability. He'd only have to be one of the top 133 945 081 footballers in the world. :P

I seriously envy you. Feed The Animals was a work of pure genius on a scale which gave me a nosebleed and made me jump around dancing... no, that isn't over the top. Let me know whether he's as good live as I'd hope.

Yeah, pretty much... I'm not entirely sure what the reasoning was behind the move, but hopefully he can force his way into a few appearances, and possibly the number one spot.

No, the source is the Daily Mail... Goal.com do not have any reporters of their own, they just collect news stories from other websites.... admittedly the Daily Mail is less reputable, but that's not the point. Goal.com don't report the news, as much as just forward it on.
