  1. Maybe we can put up a garage sale banner
  2. Apparenlty both have been told they can leave. SWP to Pompey or Man City? What do you think we would get for each? SWP - I'd hold out for 12-15M ... England International and all .. but we'd probably settle for 9.8-10 Drogba - Nothing less than 25M - push for more.
  3. Zenit spokesman Konstantin Sarsania said in the Daily Star: "On Thursday, players from the national team return to our training camp. "Arshavin and his agent Pavel Andreev are to clarify their position with us then. Talks "We do not want to sell Arshavin. That's exactly why we need Andrei to meet the bosses of the club - to understand what he is really after. "My understanding was that he would like to go and play abroad. But he isn't only interested in moving to Barcelona. "There's also Chelsea. Andrei never rejected the idea of moving there. "The Chelsea managers know the situation and have already talked to his agent." SKY SPORTS
  4. FOR FUAKS SAKE SOMEONE FROM THE CLUB SORT THIS OUT WHY CANT KENYON MAKE A STATEMENT ON THIS MATTER!!!!!
  5. Inter plan to announce Lampards signing this week.
  6. Don't know what the manager has in mind .. I'd stick with --Bosingwa--Carvalho--Terry--A.Cole + [Ferreria--Alex--Ivanovich--Bridge] and let go of Ben Haim + Belleti

Good that it's a 2 year contract. Deco certainly has a lot to offer and I don't think he's lost his legs already. I'm sure Scollari knows what he's doing and I'm looking forward to an exciting blue attack next season. Apparently we're in for Ronaldinho and Robinho - if either come through ... surely SWP/Malouda are on their way. I hope Scollari can bring out the best in Joe Cole and I hope he is a first team regular.
  8. Just because Alcides is not as good as Riccy - doesn't mean Riccy doesn't want to join Inter. How can the fact that he's not good enough mean Ricardo might not leave? It's on goal.com FFS, not the most credible of sources and no one is going to believe it until there is some credible info. BUT .. if Jose wants his player and Ricardo wants to then he might well be on his way. -- I'm quite surprised that the club hasn't released a statement on Lamps, Riccy and Drogba - not to mention Sidwell and SWP.
  9. If true - bit of a shocker. I would have expected Scollari to keep Carvalho. We're losing our best defender and one of the best in the world. Does this suggest a complete makeover - Lampard and Carvalho, both 30 .. leaving. Are we going in for a young team? Deco?
  10. It's being reported that he's already in Italy to finalize the deal? Why has the club not come out and confirmed or rejected these reports?
  11. Also - this might mean deco----essien----ballack
  12. It's all over most sites ... waiting for a more credible sources. Sad if true.
  13. "Barcelona has made a formal proposal to Zenit for the purchase of Arshavin," Sarsaniya told Sovietski Sport. "We will only talk about this once Andrei returns to Zenit." SKY SPORTS
  14. Loz - is chelzdude the same manc fan that was on here a few days ago? (ip check pl) Has Brian M been banned?
  15. I can't remember the last time I saw Malouda sprint down the line for Chelsea - he seems so lackluster ... Anelkaish I'm waiting to see what Scollari does with our squad ... I think we might all be in for a shocker, he might just offload a bunch
  16. Arshavin admits it may be time to leave Russian football and claims his dream would be to join a Spanish club. "Perhaps the time has come, yes," Arshavin told AS when asked whether he would move to another European league. "I know that I have offers from England and Germany, but what I really want is to play in the Primera Liga. "It's the championship that I have always followed, I like how football is played there. "But for now, I have no offers from Spain." The schemer's international team-mate Roman Pavlyuchenko has been linked with a move to Real Madrid and Arshavin feels there are many more Russia players who will have caught the eye at Euro 2008. He added: "There are many good players in my country, but people are now discovering us. "It's not only me. This tournament is an opportunity for us." sky
  17. He prefers a move to Barca.. .. He can replace their departing stars ..
  18. New Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari has warned his inherited squad that nobody is safe at Stamford Bridge. Scolari takes charge of the Premier League club following Portugal's elimination from Euro 2008 and has revealed that he is ready to overhaul the Blues. The likes of Nicolas Anelka, Florent Malouda and Shaun Wright-Phillips could all face Scolari's axe, while the former Brazil boss is believed to be keen to land Barcelona pair Ronaldinho and Deco. But Scolari has also hinted that he will be keen to build a committed Chelsea squad, which could signal the departure of Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba as speculation continues over the duo's future. "It will be a revolution especially in terms of mentality," Scolari told the News of the World. Overhaul "First there will need to be an overhaul, as happens in any company when they change boss. "When that happens I don't know, because it depends on the human resources, on the whole team. "I confess, for the first few games I will have difficulty in identifying all the players and getting their fusion right. "Everyone has their personality, their way of working and their way of seeing players. I will begin by seeing players in training because you see different reactions there." And Scolari also insists that he will not be afraid to tread on a few toes in West London as he bids to build a winning team following Chelsea's empty-handed 2007/08 campaign. Criticism "My choices are purely tactical ones. I pick the players I think are the best," added Scolari. "I only give explanations about players I pick, never about others. "I won't give explanations about any player not selected. Whoever is not selected is not selected. "Let them be unhappy with it. They know that's the way it is in football. I, as a coach, have to live with the responsibility of choosing. "Nobody knows what goes on inside my head. That's why it's better not to respond to some criticism." Sky

    Spurs agree Villa fee
  20. Super agent Ernesto Bronzetti claims Arsenal would prefer to sell Emmanuel Adebayor to Barcelona, but feels Milan have a '50 per cent' chance of signing the Togo striker. Milan have put the former Monaco forward at the top of their summer shopping list after vice-president Adriano Galliani admitted it was 'Adebayor or nothing'. Galliani conceded Milan's approach had been firmly rebuffed by Arsenal, but Bronzetti suggests a deal could be in the pipeline. Bronzetti, who works on the bulk of Milan's major transfers, believes that the Italian club are still in the race to capture Adebayor. However, Bronzetti says that the Gunners want to sell Adebayor to Barcelona amid reports the Spanish club are close to a £21million deal. Motives "Let's say we have a 50% chance, a lot will depend on the wishes of the player in the end," Bronzetti told Italian TV station Radio Radio TV. "Arsenal want to sell him to Barcelona, for their own motives. Barcelona tell me they already have an agreement with the player. "I only know that the Barcelona president, (Joan) Laporta, after having been doubted, now wants to shut everyone up by buying a big-name forward." Bronzetti has also advised Milan not to bid for either Samuel Eto'o or Ronaldinho, who will be allowed to leave Barcelona over the summer. Strategic error He continued: "I do know they won't have the economic means to buy him until they sell Eto'o or Ronaldinho, so I'd advise Milan not to buy either of them or they'll finance the operation of taking Adebayor to Barcelona. "(Saying the players weren't needed) was a massive strategic error. Now anyone who wants to buy those players is maybe going to wait until August 29. "They've spent 57million euros already and their finances aren't infinite, so now if they wait a bit the price for Ronaldinho and Eto'o will go down Sky Sports They must be kicking themselves now!!
  21. Looks like A. Villa are in for him too I really hope he leaves, for his own good - I doubt he's ever going to get play time at Chelsea.
  22. Wow - was the best player on the pitch by a mile. The Dutch never got into their stride - Hiddink had Russia setup fantastically! Ok .. this guy is 27 .. he still has a good 3-4 years left in him? I'd be surprised if we don't go for him, given Roman Abramovich as our owner. We've signed older players *cough* *chenko* *cough*
  23. "Andrei has told us that he wishes to change clubs," Advocaat told reporters on Friday. "At present, in the way of offers, it is quiet. "The situation may well change after the game against Holland for the national side." Sky Sports
  24. I think we might end up signing Huntelaar ..
