Here's a chance for those 16 who got Big Phil right in coco's thread, to increase their funds, and those who lost out, including the poor fella who voted for Roy Keane, to make back some money.

For sure we will see Drogba depart, possibly Sheva and hopefully Pizzaro as well. Anelka is likely to stay, but you never know what Scollari has in mind.

Who'd you put your money on...

Can I be greedy and have two? I've voted for Huntelaar, but I'd like Villa as well (and I did before that hat trick icon_rolleyes.gif ). A strike force of Huntelaar, Villa, Sheva and Di Santo would be nice, if not a little light weight.

i dont think your being greedy gem, i think we need two as well. and we need two types of striker too. with drogba going and pizzaro probably going too, were gonna need a physical style of striker in alongside a speedy goal scorer. so id go for villa and berbatov.

I have often said, I want Huntelaar at Chelsea, and I want his strike partner to be Villa, or Aguero. I also think VDV in behind the two of them would be amazing. I also think we need two strikers. But if I had to pick one......Huntelaar.

Have to say with Villa defaintly confirming the move and saying he would play in England, he's our perfect pick and we should get him as soon as the last spanish ball is kicked in euros.

Nobody can out muscle us in money and real madrid are focused on Ronaldo and Barcelona are focused on getting rid of there players to fund a bid of Villa. We SHOULD be in the front seat to sign him i will be dissapointing if we don't get him as he is a striker who is playing the best football of his life for his country and at a under achieveing team.

Villa gets my vote as he's proven in a top league. happy0034.gif

I hope his form continues in the Euros and his price tag goes up, he is worth it.

hmm Benzima knew is he? icon_lol.gif

I would love to see Villa just due to the fact that he's proven he can score,. Give him the right service or just give him the ball it'll end up in the net. And i saw Aguero play the other day, he's very good so i wouldn't mind him either. anyone from that list isn't great too, i hope one of them actually does come true.

I would like us to buy Robin Van Persie, (a top quality young player who is only going to get better), and in the process give Wenger a cardiac.

I would hate us to buy Samuel Eto' or indeed, anyone named Eto'.

surprised you don't think van persie (a class act I must agree) isn't too injury prone, just.

He's had his injury problems but nowhere near the amount Robben has had, (who has?).

I have a number of good friends who are Arsenal ST holders. One of them actually works for the club. They love RVP.

well I'm not sure about that- he missed more than half of both of the last two seasons I think- but there's no denying his quality, I just think it's one thing to have a player who is injury prone, and another thing to buy one when there are alternatives.

I think my 3 favourite possible signings up front are benzema, aguero and villa. I haven't seen a great deal of huntelaar, but from what I have he does seem a bit immobile, although a great finisher. I just don't see why he is quite so popular a choice.

Hit the nail on the head Gem

I would add that I would love a guy like Berbatov or Toni in the mix, but I just dont think we're likely to get them.

But a pair of Villa/Klass Jan? A little meat on his bones and youre looking at 40+ goals. Such talent

And I would echo Just: No Eto'o, ever. Terrible teammate and an ugly human being

I heard we signed a striker in the January transfer window, but have yet to see any evidence of this.

For me it depends on what system to go for next season, for the 442 I'd like to see us bring in Huntleaar and Villa, if it's a 4-2-3-1 then Aguero and Huntleaar.

I mean imagine an attacking force of

---------Aguero--------Ballack--------J.Cole

-----------------------Huntleaar

This is totally if we sell Lampard, but meh, if he does go then the two more defence minded players would be set, if we were also to sign Veloso, we could have a choice of Mikel, Essien, Veloso, meaning that the three can all switch when needed during a game, have one playing defensive protecting, and the other doing their normal thing, like Veloso/Mikel covering, with Essien bursting forward, or Essien covering, and Veloso and Mikel spraying passes from deep, whichever it sets up as can be switched during games when needed, the three attacking midfielders can also switch when needed, which makes it such a great idea, the unpredictiality of it, all three can link up with the striker, beat a man, get balls into the box, and Huntleaar is a natural born striker who'd be great for the role imo.
