It's a fact of life he'll have to stop sooner rather than later and I would rather he stopped while he was able to put in full shift than end up a shadow of his former self. I'm not convinced his body has another tough season in it especially when you consider his style of throwing it in the line of fire. Besides, he certainly isn't getting any faster and being able to read the game is only part of it. A couple of times when AVB was at the helm with his high line JT was woeful and I don't want to see that again. As to this season so far he has been excellent most of the time. No one likes to see a great player, especially a one-club man like JT, hang up his boots but maybe it's time he he thought about another role and serve the club in another capacity.

I would sell all three and use their wages to open the gates of SB for free, once I'd ripped out all the seats. Seriously, feel much the same as Loz, which disappoints me, although I'm not convinced Terry has another season in him at our level.

As always Lozette I respect your opinion and you have highlighted a problem i.e. the bench ain't big enough.

Based on that premise, there would never be a good time to play anyone who hasn't played at least 350 PL games. Sometimes you have to dive into the deep end. If the lad is good enough to be in the 1st team squad he's good enough to play and it's not as if Kalas is a schoolboy.

To be fair Obi wasn't the only one ball watching. I think Luiz's performances against WBA and again yesterday were the equivalent of a transfer request. And I believe it's time for JM to give Kalas a chance if either JT or Cahill can't play. Luiz can play in midfield alongside Matic, but not in the back four. What is alarming is our reliance on JT as a motivator and how this aspect will be replaced in a year or two.
