A total mess handled (unsurprisingly) shockingly badly by the club.. Made all the more frustrating as so much of it was avoidable, in that respect let us not forget that Bruce Buck is partner at one of the most high profile highest-grossing law firms in the world too. Fair play to her, that statement reads as if she was basically telling them what to write. And its now properly over as far as Mourinho and Chelsea are concerned. What a parting gift. It really is time to move on once and for all. He isnt our problem any more.

He's gonna fit right in

Ruben Loftus-Cheek
He wasn't even that good against City mate. He did ok. Holding his own against the best in the league is spin of the highest order! I want him to breakthrough as much as anyone and agree that he was underused in the last half of the season but let's not go over the top. He needs a run of 8-10 games and in a deeper role too, but I'm pretty sure he ain't gonna get it.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek
In a desperate game that was our biggest home defeat for 6 years. I really wouldn't read too much into this.

Ideal 25 man squad for next season?
Hopefully, yes. But will it be up to Conte though ?

Antonio Conte - Now Officially Manager
Courtois definitely gets a free pass from me for last season. Not just because of the injury it also because he had the worst Chelsea defence in two decades in front of him. At times last season the defending was shambolic and that would affect any goalkeeper. Those training videos are interesting but as G4 says, if there is a problem with intensity or whatever then surely that's as much down to the trainer/goalkeeping coach as it is the goalkeeper? I maintain he is a top class goalkeeper, I've seen enough of him so far at Chelsea and Athletico to be confident in that and one off season isn't going to change my opinion. Courtois (if he stays) really is the least of our problems anyway.

Ideal 25 man squad for next season?
Nathan Ake deserves his shot and can't have done anymore to stake his claim. Did eveything that was asked of him and played consistently well for a Premier League team and won their young player of the year. It was practically the perfect loan spell. He passed the test with flying colours, and if he doesn't get the opportunity then there isn't really any point in the whole youth setup anymore as there is no hope for these boys.Doubtful he will get the chance though. It's tragic really.

Willian
Whilst we are at it we should sell Hazard to City for £25m.

We have to do our best to hold on to Courtois. He's a great keeper with so much more to come as well, granted it was an off season for him , but he wasn't the only one was he? If we lose him that means we will have lost two of the 6-7 only truly world class keepers playing today in a year. That's such a modern day Chelsea thing to do. Top class keepers don't grow on trees, we have to do our very best to keep him and to help him as much as we can with his development.

Our New Stadium
It's not a case of Spurs being 'favourites'. They are simply way ahead of us in every aspect of their stadium build. We have so much to do before a brick is even laid. Tottenham will be there full time next year for a season and I'd wager we will move in for a few years from 18/19.

Antonio Conte And The Rewritten Stuff Of Legends
Yep. Not only is it a complete myth, its also very boring. There are sections of our fanbase that are utterly obsessed with the media and how they portray Chelsea. Almost to the point of being more concerned with it than they are about what happens on the pitch. Ive heard the same boring nonsense spouted ad-nauseam for about 10 years now. Its bewildering, dull, and so, so tiring. Its almost as if these people are being forced to read newspapers, websites blogs, or watch tv or listen to radio phone ins. Or its more likely they are tuning in hoping they hear even the most minor slight against the club so they can then spend the next week moaning about how hard life is a Chelsea fan.

Dawning of a new era on the Shed End
I know Scott. Its crazy. Obviously it was the CSR back then. Silver Surfer, Dodger, Amanda and other characters i cant remember. It was pretty much the first thing i ever saw on the internet.

Dawning of a new era on the Shed End
Great news Loz. Ive struggled with the forum for sometime now and pretty much stayed away apart from the odd lurk. Like you say it simply isnt the place it was once was. Having been active on the various guises of this place since 1997 it was sad to see it that way, but at the same time it was also possbily a victim of its own success, of which you and Mod played such a huge part. Looking forward to coming back on here again, it was always my first stop.

The club is in disarray and that's down to Roman.
So much wrong at the club but let's start with the DJ. First song after the final whistle last night was Atomic Kitten. Now I can live with sacking managers, not playing kids, overpaying for underperforming players and wasting money on players that don't play. But Atomic Kitten is a step too far. Sack the board.

So sad. My thoughts are with you Toby. Take care.

John Terry to leave Chelsea at end of the season.
Im starting to come round to this way of thinking. At first i was appalled and there were stories doing the rounds of him not being told face to face etc (which i bought into) but it turns out negotiations are still on the table so im not sure what JT is playing at to be honest. He prob shouldnt have let it go to some journos yesterday to be honest. He is our most decorated player and that demands he is treated with total respect but its got to be a two way street. We dont do things easy, thats for sure.

The John Terry Appreciation Thread
Sure I agree Scott, however you'd have thought the club would choose to give the news to their most decorated player ever face to face. After all this is JT here, not just any another player. Maybe I'm just being romantic , I don't know. Clearly that's not how these things work.

Sigh - seems the club have played another blinder here. Deary me. I'm reading he heard first from his agent on the phone and not face to face. Brilliant. That's gratitude for you. One silver lining, though very small - at least we will get to say thanks and goodbye, something we were never afforded with Frank.

Possible Transfer Ban For Chelsea
Transfer ban ? Sounds brilliant to me. Given the rubbish we keep on buying Itll stop the powers that be making these bad signings for starters. And then as others have said maybe, just maybe some of the kids will get a look in. Even if it is by default.

Chelsea vs West Brom (PL) 13/01/16 KO: 19:45 BST
Let's not be hiding behind the refs performance. We were insipid. 2 shots on target. So weak. 10 more mins played and we'd have lost it. WBA could sense the fear.

Farewell Bowie
A star in every sense, truly unique and one of the finest artists of all time. He certainly made the world, and indeed my life a more interesting place. He just released a new album too. He was saying goodbye, and we didnt even know it. RIP Starman

Jose Mourinho thread
Im with Davey. It will be strange and a lillte bit sad to see Jose at United but it wouldnt scare me. It wouldve done a few years ago but not now, as something has changed with him, even second time round here it wasnt really the same. Love the guy but i think hes been found a bit and needs to do some adapting (he wont!). It will be fascinating to see the the sh*tstorms and controversies from the other side. We all know how it will go there, how it will play out and then how it will end. Doesnt worry me one bit. Its just he wont ever feel like 'ours' any more.I just hope there is no more fawning like there was on Saturday. Its not healthy. Oh well. On we move. Time to find the next legend. The club is still standing, or at least it was when i left it at 5pm on Saturday. Ill suspect it will be there this time next year too.

Jose will be BACK!
You also get non stop controversy and serious levels of baggage which is easier to take when trophies are on the table and on the horizon. But when they are not and you are losing every game you play and not playing strikers against Bournemouth it all becomes a little trying. Everyone needs to move on now, this is for the best. We love him and won't forget him but no man is bigger than the club.

Jose Mourinho thread
I think thats a safe bet. I cant say im looing forward to going tommorow. I fear its not going to be much fun. The knucklehead sheep element of our support will be out in full anger venting mode. Its be like Benitez all over again, which was just grim. I just want the team to win.
