I’m not suggesting it will work, just that we need someone to support Jackson, and our only current options are take Sterling off the wing, or use Madueke, Burstow ……. ……..or Maatsen. Mudryk is another option but he hasn’t shown any signs of being a goal predator yet. Ideally Broja comes back into the team and stays fit long enough to evaluate him.

I don’t see Madueke linking up with Jackson playing def touches or intricate 1-2’s, but i do see him drifting into the box where Jackson vacates the space, we wont score if we can’t get players up to play.

I don’t think you can move Sterling from the right wing after the last two games, it’s the most productive part of our attack at the moment. But i do think we need to support Jackson more, they highlighted on Sky how many times we had nobody supporting him. I think Madueke or Burstow are the better options available to support Jackson.

The difference in work rate between this fool and Jackson is canyon wide. Saying that if Lukaku could guarantee us 20 goals a season he would be in the team, were not idiots, but the chances of him scoring 20 in the prem are zero, so you end up with lazy white elephant in the team.

The owners need to sort out the medics, if they can’t stop the injury list growing then sack them. Our only option is to hope the medics can get a grip of these injuries, it feels like we just spent a billion £ in the infirmary, we literally have 1/4 of the squad out injured. Without all the injuries we can compete for 2nd place, but with 1/4 of the squad missing we will be very lucky to get top 4.

Even though we are going through an injury crisis, and have several new players settling in, and a new manager trying to figure them all out, we could have won both games, we hit the woodwork, had dodgy offside goals chalked off, missed a penalty, a bit of luck and it could have been six points. With Broja, Nkunku, Lavia, James, Carney, Fofana, Badiashile all available we will be wiping the floor with the likes of West Ham and the bottom half of the table. It’s tough on Poch with the injuries, but they will mostly all be back over the coming weeks, we need to dig in until then.

He’s desperate for support, we would get the best from him in a 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2.

Disappointed as i am to lose, i thought we were on top for most of the game, we should have had our penalty retaken for infringement into the box, if that goes in we probably go on to win. We should accept without James in the team we need to go to a back four and start playing with someone to partner Jackson and take advantage of the work Jackson does. But injuries are killing that idea, we need Broj and Nuk back.
