August 20, 20231 yr Let’s be honest Luton are terrible, good chance for us to score 3 or 4 and gain a little bit of confidence back.
August 20, 20231 yr This game is a write off win. No way should we drop points here or make this a hard fought victory. Doubt I'll even watch as it's just a game to paper over the cracks. My optimism will come back if we can win the next two after this. It's been over a year since we saw this club win multiple games in a row and it must start now if we are to get top 4.

Surley even we cannot fail against one of (either them or Sheff United) the poorest sides in the division at home? If we do will be like Potters trick vs Southampton at home last season, and then is it the manager or to we finally look deeper on to the issue?

August 21, 20231 yr        ------ Sanchez ----- Chillwell -- Colwill - Silva -- Gusto          ---- Caicedo -----      Gallagher --- Enzo   Sterling - Jackson - Mudryk Need to play players into form and fitness, can't keep chopping and changing now due to the injuries we have. We also can't just go sign someone else, this is what we paid for and this is what we should go with personal wise. Â
August 21, 20231 yr Sanchez Gusto Silva Colwill Chilwell Caicedo Gallagher   Fernandez Sterling   Jackson   Mudryk Long term need an upgrade on Sanchez. Lavia unlikely to be ready yet so have Caicedo in the deepest role. Get Sterling and Mudryk in behind and hugging the touchline. Tell Jackson to stay central. Gallagher arriving late into the box for the 1000 cut backs we manage and miss every game.
August 21, 20231 yr Pochettino needs to get everything right in this game. The formation, players choices, everything. Mainly with Caicedo and Lavia. Same goes to formation when we don't have a number 10. If we lose this one the media goes crazy. For our young squad it wouldn't be too good.
August 21, 20231 yr We have to do more than just win this game. Charity FC need to make a proper statement. Injuries or not. There is a reason why Sky have had us on for all three weeks of the new season. Priming up for joke tv, caning Charity FC at any given opportiunity. See how those prima donnas run around making foolish errors and losing games. Boehly the upstart with his billions and nonsense knowledge. See how they crumble defensivley mwah, mwah mwah. Mercenary pretenders, ha. We need to go out on Friday and fck people up. Big time. Carragher, Souness, Neville, shut the fck up and get back in yer boxes. We need to play football at another level. Fast pacy one and two touch football and pedal to the metal for the whole game. Now is the time to start the season proper and make people know we're here. There is a saying i like but i cannot remember who said it. A good team punishes the next team after a loss, a great team punishes every fking team. It starts Friday. COYB  Â
August 21, 20231 yr Must win this game, or there will be more doubts. I don't mind losing a game once in a while, it's the draw against lower teams that kill the season. Last season we had several chances to turn the season around, yet come up with a couple of draws against teams at the low end of the table, and never get any confidence or momentum going.
August 21, 20231 yr I've convinced myself in another thread that we're about to witness a CHO redemption arc (despite all the overwhelming evidence that suggests we definitely wont), so:                Sanchez Gusto Disasi Colwill  Chilwell        Enzo Gallagher Madueke CHO Sterling               Jackson Caicedo looked off the pace, give him time to get up to full fitness. Bring him off the bench again if the game allows for it. Also I've no idea how much of a pre-season Lavia had so for that reason haven't picked him. I love Silva but I really don't trust him in a 4. Especially against weaker opposition whom we'll be trying to squeeze. He has a habit of jumping forward and trying to make challenges, but then can't recover afterwards (Antonio's goal yesterday is a prime example of this). Edited August 21, 20231 yr by cfr95
August 21, 20231 yr Luton are probably looking at this thinking this could be their 1st win in the premier league ever even a draw is a huge result for them. Â We need to run riot!
August 21, 20231 yr Team needs goals. I'd field something that will have a lot of attacking impetus. Â
August 21, 20231 yr I'd make a few changes, not sure how fit Lavia is mind you. No sense shoehorning someone in as a 10, we have to change to adapt to not having one.  Sanchez  Gusto Disasi Colwill Maatsen  Lavia  Madueke Caicedo Gallagher Sterling  Jackson  Sterling has earned his start, and I would favour Madueke over Mudryk for now. Also would like to see how Maatsen does as a starter, he has good attacking quality.
August 21, 20231 yr this is a must win comfortably kind of game, or pressure will start on Poch alreadyÂ
August 21, 20231 yr This might be a controversial take but Man u just released Mason Greenwood. We need goals and he has them. I have always felt young people deserve a second chance and I won't mind him in our attack

August 21, 20231 yr Have Sterling as an inside forward close to Jackson with Chilwell taking the left flank.  Sanchez Gusto Disasi Colwill Chilwell Caicedo Enzo Gallagher Madueke   Sterling Jackson
August 21, 20231 yr 30 minutes ago, Zeta said: No Chillwell? Yes for a couple of reasons. The main one I'd I want to see Maatsen as a LB and see what he brings to the game, as time is running out for this window and I hope he signs the new deal rather than is sold. Otherwise is managing Ben's minutes. Like Silva a game off it not a bad thing with Ben's injury record, and Silvas age.
August 21, 20231 yr Need an emphatic win to build some confidence so I vote for the most attacking line up we are able to field. Still can't fit Mudryk in mind you 🙂 I think Noni will have more goal threat than Mudryk, so he gets in on RW, with Sterling switching to LW (so he can cut inside and shoot with his best foot). Hopefully Broja is fit to start alongside Jackson.Â
