Worst World Cup Ever?
I was 4 in '94 so just wondering why was it so terrible? Besides England not qualifying

2010 World Cup Final - Spain vs Holland
Not thrilled about who scored the winner, but it was always going to be Spain, and they deserved it. Normally I argue against those who say Spain play great football because I find it boring most of the time, but Spain were much more entertaining that the Netherlands today. I thought Spain played really well when Fabregas and Navas were on, they were constantly going forward and attacking and could have had 4 goals if things had gone their way.

2010 World Cup Stars
Mueller has had a sucessful world cup, especially for a 20 year old, but, though I can't remember all of his goals, I don't remember any of them being anything special. Sure the fact that he is tied for the scoring lead is a big deal especially considering his age, but the goals I remember him scoring were an easy rebound yesterday, a couple of easy ones against England, and the slightest brush of his hair on the ball against Argentina.

Platini Hospitalised
Story I wouldn't want the guy to be actually hurt, so this is unfortunate.

Drogba to City
Even though this is totally untrue, I can't imagine losing Drogba. For most 32 year olds 20 million would be a steal, but it would take a LOT of money for me to be willing to sell him. I love the guy and want nothing else than for him to finish his career with us.

2010 World Cup Final - Spain vs Holland
I feel like a lot of the Dutch goals have come out of nowhere or against the run of play, which is very good since they wont have very much possession.

World Cup 2010 Semi Finals
Not that it doesn't work effectively, but I'm with most of you, Spain can be so boring sometimes. It was more exciting when Germany got the ball because they had players charging forward at high speeds whereas Spain would pass the ball between the defense and midfield 40 times until one of them tried a long pass that was cut out. But it definitely works for them, and Spain undoubtedly have some great great players. On a side note I have been saying this for years, every time Puyol jumps to head a ball he tries to put so much force into the header that he falls over every time.

World Cup 2010 Semi Finals
I'm just wondering if Spain can shut down Sweinstager and Co. They haven't really been challenged by a decent attack or midfield yet. Chile might have attacked them most and they were down a man and still got one.

Worst World Cup Ever?
Yeah during one of the Spain matches I pointed out Iniesta to someone and said watch number 6, every time you see him he will be on the ground, and was right.

Fallen Stars
The ball is launched into the stands a little too often, and it seems like crosses are over hit more often than not, but there still have been plenty of good goals including two in the Uruguay-Ghana game, the first goal of the tournament , a long(ish) range Ozil goal, and a Slovakian goal against the U.S. to name a few.

Worst World Cup Ever?
While I can agree with some of those reasons I have enjoyed this world cup a lot. USA-Algeria and USA-Slovakia were very exciting as an American, Uruguay-Ghana possibly the craziest match I have ever seen, and Germany have been great to watch. The diving, particularly by the Netherlands in their Brazil match, has been quite annoying. And the refereeing needs no further comment.

World Cup 2010 - Quarter Final Matches1 & 2
Yeah I'm with Jack its no different than a foul in the box when the player would have scored and no one gets too angry about that.

World Cup 2010 - Quarter Final Matches1 & 2
I wanted the Dutch to score, but I think it'd be a shame if Brazil lose now. They're calling that an own goal, unlucky for melo though it was probably his fault for being in the keepers way.

The referee is killing me right now with all the fouls.

Benayoun?
I remember thinking benayoun was one of the more threatening players when he was on the field against us. Not a super, high profile signing, but one i don't mind at all.

England v. Germany
Possibly the last world cup match for Lampard, Terry, Gerrard, James, and both Coles which makes me wonder what England will do to replace them in 4 years. Edit -- Not that any of them were spectacular this year.
