Strange, V2 is the oldest from the lot. Anyway, they're all good and closely related, just the gameplay mechanics and the rules differ, so it's a matter of opinion, none of them is clearly superior. Check out the mods released, there's a big and active community that generates great content.

I play CK2 and EU4 occasionally. I prefer CK2, but if you want the dlcs then it costs a fortune.

I cannot imagine how anyone could see them as one. Maybe in Liverpool and Birmingham :) Any club can fade. A few more decades without a PL win for Arsenal with us and/or Spurs winning things could well change the status quo.
