  1. If you dip into the QPR match chat thread you will see that, in one post, I ask the question "Did anyone else notice how poor Lampard was"? In fact, if you have a look at my recent posts, the recurring theme is the weakness of our CM in general, which ofc includes the pair of them.
  2. We can't shift to a 3 man midfield because we have so many creative players to accommodate into the side. A 3 man midfield would mean Torres on his own supported by only 2 of them, most probably Mata and Hazard at this stage, therefore leaving Oscar, Marin, Moses all on the bench. Maybe we need to try Ramires in the pivot and see what happens, but I have my reservations. What I do know though is that all these discussions about our formation would be totally moot if we had at least 1 dominant Central Midfield player. The top European sides that play 4231 (Real and Bayern spring to mind) have excellent CM's at the top of their game. which allows the system to work. We don't, which is why it isn't working.
  3. I'm not talking about that pass. He lost the ball countless times.
  4. Mikel was laughably bad, almost unprofessional. He's put in a fair amount of underwhelming 'efforts' over the years but this was particularly poor.
  5. John Obi Mikel without a doubt. Made an art out of losing the ball tonight.
  6. Mikel was utterly atrocious tonight, embarrassingly poor. How could a player that's supposed to excel in possession have lost the ball practically every time he got it? He, IMO, was at fault for both goals. And there was me thinking that after last season he might have turned a corner, but so far this year it's been the same old underwhelming Mikel. It genuinely scares me at the moment how weak our central midfield is. Lampard is serviceable at best it seems and with Mikel you just know deep down he's going to let the team down at some point. If this trend carries on then CM is our absolute, no.1 priority in January.
  7. His Chelsea career is essentially over, I feel. He'll be sold after this season, who to can't say.
  8. Grown in to the game, but Yaya mugged him off twice. Nevertheless he's looked solid and would have still been perfectly capable cover for us.
  9. Just had a watch, pretty moving stuff! Great vid all in all, but I'd say the one by Feroze is actually a little better. But no need to nit-pick
  10. I agree wholeheartedly with this. Frank has to improve in the next few games. Central Midfield is without question our weakest area on the pitch at this moment in time. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Frank and the legacy he has created at this club. However, his performance levels are currently not up to par.
  11. Lovely finish, excellent news. Keep it up KDB!
  12. Just wondering what people thought about Torres storming down the tunnel on Saturday? I thought it was pretty pathetic and petulant of him. He played like sh*t and to be honest Sturridge should have come on for him 20 minutes sooner.
  13. Did anyone else notice how atrocious Frank was on Saturday? I don't think I've seen him play that poorly, well ever really.
  14. http://www.footballorgin.com/2012/09/documentary-kings-of-europe-chelsea.html Enjoy!
  15. Got it. Issue is that hardly anybody ever just puts one ticket up for sale. Usually people but up their entire block of 3/4 and Viagogo doesn't let you buy just one, you have to buy the entire set.
  16. How did you get your lucky hands on that!?

Brazil 8-0 China highlights here: http://theoriginalwinger.com/2012-09-11-video-brazil-8-0-china-highlights-can-brazil-win-8-0-and-it-be-called-a-friendly Oscar's link up play is outstanding. Ramires also scored a lovely goal from Oscar's neat flick.
  18. We're not the biggest in England no, but we're currently the biggest club in London IMO. When you consider our meteoric rise in the last decade coupled with Arsenal's continuous decline, aswell as the fact that we're the only club in London that have won the European Cup, then to me we're the top dogs in London. Arsenal are still perhaps bigger than us overall when you consider the past but right now we're bigger for sure.
  19. Drogba said that he'd never play for another English team when he left, and I genuinely believe him. I know a lot of footballers have made similar comments but with Didier, and all the history he's created here, I don't think he would betray us like that. If the whole Shanghai experience goes t*ts up then I think he'll most likely go back to Marseille.
  20. Yes! About time. Good on you Sky! Seeing as I don't have Sky, I would be very grateful if someone could upload it here!
  21. Good afternoon all, I would like to buy a ticket to the Stoke game, and ideally in the West Upper. I've had a look through Viagogo but to no avail. Can anybody help me? Thanks very much!
  22. The Process of Elimination operating on all cylinders.
  23. Did anyone watch Lukaku vs Wales yesterday?
  24. Slavisa Jokanovic On a serious level, I just don't know. Drogba, Zola, Lampard and JT have all been "great" in their own right. It's just a question of how greatness is defined? Pure talent: Gianfranco Zola Greatest individual contribution towards winning silverware: Didier Drogba Consistency at the highest level: Frank Lampard On-pitch leadership, resilience, longevity and quality: John Terry It all depends on what you see as the most significant quality. For me personally, I'd lean towards Drogba.
