Sackings at Sky Sports
I'm surprised AG didn't see this coming. He sees everything else coming. He sees the obvious ball. The offside. The cross-field ball. The formation change. The substitution. The back-pass interception. The through ball. In previous posts I've said that he has the best job in the world but still talks sh*te. What goes around, comes around

Joe Cole
Joe Cole needs to leave Anfield and find himself a challenge at a mid-table club with promise where he can play his game with a boss who'll let him and team mates that'll appreciate his talents. Now, if only there was a mid-table club with promise ..............

Bellamy "arrested following assault"
He's had that coming for a while. Can't say I'm upset about it either. There's been a few footballers who needed a smack in the gob - John Hartson always rated highly in my mind (yeah, I know he's been ill, but before that !) Didn't he kick one of his team mates in the head at training when he was with WHU ?

Steve Clarke joins Liverpool as coach
Wouldn't want to wish bad luck on someone who's served Chelsea so well over the years. But there's a first time for everything..........

Home Internationals to be revived?
Home internationals again ? I don't think its a good idea. Back in the seventies they were great - there weren't as many European club games then, but now ? Clubs struggle to release players for international friendlies as it is so these will be just the same. Waste of time - just the FA trying to ring the tills. Would I want to see JT, Lamps etc trot off to Scotland the week before we play Johnny Foreigner FC in the CL SF ? No.

Aguero or Torres?

Honest footballers ?
Theo Walcott has come out to say that he dived to try and win a penalty in yesterday's FA Cup third round tie with Leeds Utd. Although that incident didn't result in a spot kick being awarded, the Gooners equalised shortly afterwards in the same fashion. Now I applaud the young lad Walcott for being honest. The question is - will he start a trend of 'honest' footballers ? I think not. I hate to see anyone diving, and that includes players from my own team. And yet, if my side win a late penalty, or free kick for that matter that leads to an equalizer or winner, I'd be a happy man. (if converted of course Didier !) If memory serves me correctly wasn't it Robbie Fowler who took a penalty that he confessed to the referee (at the time) shouldn't have been awarded ? (can't remember the outcome - I'm sure some of you will !) Do we need to see more honesty in the game, or is it now 'win at all costs' ?

Is The Jury Really Out On Carlo
One of our members (forgive me - I dont remember who) wrote in an earlier thread about the expectations that we had at the start of the season being that this year is when we would start to 'rebuild' or as Ken Bates used to say 'blood the kids' With our flying start I think those expectations were raised to doing the same as last year and we all (happily) jumped on the bandwagon that is Chelsea. Now that the dawn of false hope has swiftly kicked our derriere, perhaps we should take a moment to sit back and reflect on what it is we want, and more importantly in this thread, who we want. We surely cant sack CA. He gave us the Double. At the recent Arsenal game one of the sports commentators mentioned that Carlo was the eighth, yes eighth Chelsea manager that Wegner had faced. I found that embarrassing, and I was sat in my front room ! We just cannot keep sacking managers or we will become the laughing stock of English football. The managers job at Stamford Bridge will become a poisoned chalice. Let Carlo dip into the transfer market, both to buy and sell. Blood the kids. Start afresh. Like many others of you, I've been through the seventies and eighties with the Blues. You think we've got it tough now ? Carefree, wherever you may be.......

Chelsea v Aston Villa (PL) 2/1/11 KO 13:30 GMT
Rollercoaster ? Lamps scores - three points on the way. Villa equalize - we'll still do 'em. Villa lead - omg what are we doing ? I'd settle for a point. Drog scores (I forgot he was on the pitch) and I'll take that point. JT nets the winner - yes, we're back in business. Then we throw it away. Then the 'they're going to nick it right at the end' thoughts ! Fourth spot is a MUST. Happy New Year to you all

Derek mcgovern at it again

How long does Benitez have?
I must be brutally honest and say that this has brought a wry smile to my face. What goes around, comes around.

A damning article from David Gold
Jealousy is a wasted emotion. Doesn't Mr Gold have more pressing things to worry about, er, closer to home ? Like Championship football next season ?

Worst personal away ground
Ninean Park, Cardiff. 1978 or 79 when the away fans were on the side terracing. We went one nil down, then came back to win 2-1. The Taffs were NOT happy. And we got all sorts thrown at us. Unpleasant........ lol @ Bluebeards tannoy/snowball post. Love to hear more of that.

Ray Wilkins leaves
I'd just like to take this opportunity to thank Ray for all he's done for the club, in whatever capacity, from the youngest club captain in the dark days of the seventies, to the double of last season. I wish him and his family all the best for the future

- Birmingham v Chelsea (PL) 20/11/2010 KO 15:00 GMT
Just back from St Andrews. Not quite sure what to say to you lot, except we couldn't score. We even had four strikers on the pitch for the last quarter and couldn't muster much at all. We played it wide all the time, mainly down the left, but to no avail. Final ball was, well, pants. Mikel had a good game in my eyes - solid and his ball distribution was excellent. And dont be lulled into thinking we should have scored just because Foster was given MOTM. i thought he was average. Cech was just a spectator. Biggest impression of the day ? The Birmingham fans. They are sh*te........... - Birmingham v Chelsea (PL) 20/11/2010 KO 15:00 GMT
