  1. We are Chelsea. Nothing else matters . . . .
  2. He let his country down. Tw*t. Good player, but good riddance
  3. Totally agree ! He reminds me of the bad guy from Captain Scarlet lol ! Remember him ? Wonder if there has ever been a 'seperated at birth' thread - now that could be fun !
  4. Ref was very good. Barca gave the world a lesson in possession. Man U didn't have a clue - they were made to look very average, if not poor. Glad it was them on the end of that and not us. Roll on next season....... wtf to do now for the next twelve weeks ?
  5. And what exactly did Miss Thomas see in Giggs ?
  6. I'm cheering for Barca tonight, but I want fights, dives, red cards, cheating, play acting and goals galore ! I want a page three streaker (not some Erica Roe, but then I'm just being fussy). I want Ferguson's big red nose to explode, Gary Neville to swear live on air and get sacked, and finally I'd like to see that Chiquito or whatever he's called try to get tough with Puyol, and get a smack in the mouth for his troubles . . . . Or am I asking too much ?
  7. You gotta be online at 7am on the given Monday morning that the tickets go on sale and just pray you can get through. I have about a 50% success rate
  8. Devastated. Loved getting smashed in the So bar - having a sing - and stumbling over to the ground full of cider. Looks like it'll have be a Harvey Wallbanger from now on...... ......not.
  9. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that ! I'd clatter into her anyday
  10. Football's soul at the top levels went ages ago. It's sad really. Money rules now - it's just a business. But I think if you're really searching for the soul of the game, you can find it down the leagues. The further you go down the divisions - the more it appears. At grass roots level it's there in abundance. Why ? Because that's where you, me, our sons, and daughters, developed and fell in love with the beautiful game. We, as supporters, carry the soul of the game in our blood. Imagine , if you will for one moment, of a life without football. If the powers that be were to ban it - just try to imagine what life would be like. It's a frightening thought. That's because we ARE football. You and me. In twenty years time, Roman will have gone. JT will have gone. Young Josh will have gone. The Admin staff will have gone. But I'll still be there. And so will you. Look no further than yourself for the soul of football.
  11. Money That's why the FA Cup was moved. Money. The cost of building a new national stadium has meant that it now has first place in the pecking order for everything that brings in the dosh. Just look at the crappy internationals it's booked, and the cup semi-finals that are played there now. I realise that it has to be paid for, but they should have kept the Cup special. Off at a slight tangent here - what happens if Swansea and Cardiff reach the play off final ? Common sense says play it at the Millenium Stadium. Money says play it at Wembley. Would I not want to be the old bill on that day lol !
  12. I'm crying into my beer. Not looking good. Game over
  13. Is it me or does Alan Smith talk a load of bollox ?
  14. Who'd want to own that shower of sh*te ? Cant wait until they're back in the Prem for a season so we can batter them again
  15. I agree with big blue on this one. I'm pretty sure the players nowadays dont see QPR or Fulham as a 'derby' fixture. The days of players coming from the locallity of the club they play for has long gone. It is, of course, a derby for the fans and always will be. On a personal bias, being based in the midlands I much prefer going to away games that are within easy reach for me. It's a far better crack going to West Brom than West Ham !
  16. Blimey ! You young'uns are lucky not to have been around in the dismal seventies. After the highs of the first FA cup win in '70 and the following European success there only seemed to be one way - down ! Given as well the general blight of that decade and the economic downturns of the country, it was pretty grim. Nowadays it's a sheer pleasure to see Chelsea where they are. You gotta suffer years in the wilderness to appreciate being a top club now. Long may we reign.........
  17. Great read (again) Dorset ! Thought provoking stuff that I'm going away to think about lol !
  18. No. I'd rather have another hole in my ar*e. (What worries me is I said that when we were rumoured to be interested in Torres) (.... and no - I haven't ! )
  19. This is scary sh*t. I appreciate we have to change as time moves on, but this is a pre-cursor to the traditional names we love (and hate) being sold out to the multi nationals and the rich. And I still squirm at MK Dons ! Who the f**k are they ?
  20. Wasn't it RVP who got off with a certain charge that was levelled at him by the Police back in Holland ? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. And part two of my reply is a well known saying "There's no smoke without fire" Figure the rest out for yourselves............ :)
  21. Now I'm no Red Nev fan, but lets not forget him running down the pitch to kiss his badge in front of the dippers after Utd had scored against them ! Quality provocation if ever there was. (only bettered in my eyes by Gazza playing the flute in front of the Celtic fans - lmao)
  22. I'll nip out to the garage and get my rope.......
