  1. You are having a f*ckin' laugh, surely??? Nope, Look you have already admited that your judgment has been impared by thoughts of sue barker, go with me on this one Fair enough, I can't really argue with that
  2. You are having a f*ckin' laugh, surely???
  3. Really difficult to say, as we in the Chat Room (myself, Mad Mac, Chippy, Forbzy, JT, & Mod (occasionally)) spent most of the game discussing various pubs from Carshalton to Glasgow and Dundee, the sexual appeal (or not) of Sue Barker, the humour of Ally McCoist, and the brilliant crossing of Peter Houseman From what I did see of the game, Essien looked great.
  4. That is my only concern regarding his possible transfer to Chelsea
  5. You won't get any argument from me on any of the points you made. It's refreshing to know that I'm not the only one who thinks Sheva can still do a very good job for Chelsea. All we need now is a coach to recognise that fact, use a system that will compliment Sheva's style (err, a simple 4-4-2 should do) and we'll all be happy!
  6. I agree totally. I don't give a monkey's about the Carling Cup, but we mustn't lose to the scouse scum. If we do, it won't just mean that we're out of the cup, but that we've lost our brilliant home record to a total bunch of w*nkers - it'd be nearly as bad as losing at home to Spuds
  7. I got caught on camera once back in the early 70's - TV highlights of Arse v Chelsea showed me and a few others having a rather violent altercation with some Arse fans in the Clock End Unfortunately I don't have it on video, mainly because VCR's weren't around back then
  8. I am far from being a religious man, but when I saw Eboue going off on a stretcher I prayed that they'd be taking him straight to the morgue. Be nice to see him lying on a slab alongside Dean Saunders, Johnny Giles and Steve Hunt
  9. With Ben Haim and Alex in central defence, I'd want both Cech and Cudicini playing, and possibly Hilario too
  10. I hated Giles more than any of the other Leeds players - at least the rest of them had the b*llocks to kick lumps out of the opposition openly. Giles was a snidey little c*nt, doing stuff off the ball, then lying through his teeth when the ref got involved. You got cynical, Liam? Surely not, naah, can't believe that I tried to model myself as a cross between Peter Osgood & Ron Harris. Unfortunately for the opposition the mix was about 90% Chopper and 10% Ossie
  11. Ahh, Johnny Giles, such a lovely bloke How did Giles manage that? I thought that you could only do that if the allegations were untrue? I think the only Leeds players I didn't totally hate from that era were Terry Cooper and Eddie Gray. Don't get me wrong, I still hated 'em, just not so much as the rest of the b*stards!
  12. Lofty - you're dead right about the scousers being devastated by JT's appointment as captain ahead of that c*nt Gerrard - I absolutely love it!!! I couldn't read a scouse forum, I don't think my blood pressure could take it - I hate those w*nkers as much as I hate L**ds now Spuds & Septic are still way out in front in "my most hated" though
  13. I agree with Murdoch_(8) & Kev123 - JT does seem to lose it more nowadays, and spends too much time shouting at refs. Maybe it's down to the amount of injuries he's received in the last couple of years and being on the receiving end of a lot of bad challenges, most of which went unpunished. I don't really blame him for getting the hump, but I always worry he's gonna get carded and suspended just for retaliation or mouthing off.
  14. I can't help wondering just how urgent this surgery was. Seems a hell of a coincidence that Drogba will be coming back to fitness just in time for the African Cup Of Nations - did he insist on immediate surgery? After all, he's made no secret of the fact that his national side are more important to him than Chelsea.
  15. I used to listen to TalkSh*te quite a bit too, but it's really crap now. You've got Alan Brazil waffling drivel early on, followed by Jon Gaunt, a man so f*ckin' ignorant he deserves to die a slow drawn out painful death - and soon. Why do people call in to his show??? If you don't agree with the bloke he cuts your call off, then slags you down while you can't reply - I'm amazed nobody's jumped the c*nt as he's left the studio. I haven't listened to his show for ages now, as I was running out of radios to smash to bits Hawskbee & Jacobs are absolute garbage, they should be presenting a kiddies show with the amount of childish giggling they do, not a sports programme. Then we come to Drive, the only show I sometimes listen to. Ian Wright is OK (sometimes), but Adrian Durham talks such crap that I think he's competing with Mike Parry for 'biggest wind-up of the week'. Durham & Parry can't possibly believe what the utter sh*te they spout, I don't think anyone's that stupid, so it's got to be a wind-up! The only time I've ever agreed with Durham was when he slagged off Carjacker for turning his back on England. But then he immediately let himself down by totally losing his bottle when the ugly scouse tosser phoned in and started whining. Luckily, Parry is normally partnered by Andy Townsend who I refuse to listen to on account of he's a total c*nt, and so I'm spared Parry's bullsh*t. As if that lot ain't bad enough, their football coverage is an absolute joke. It's like listening to Radio Dipper, they're so biased I'm amazed anyone other than scousers listen anymore......what a bunch of w*nkers.
  16. I agree that Scott Sinclair should be given a chance - I'd love to see him get a decent run in the team, but even Pizarro hasn't been given that option, same as Crespo before him, so unfortunately I can't see it happening - hope I'm wrong. I'm all for youngsters coming through the ranks and breaking into the first team, but realistically, I don't believe it will happen. Last season for instance - JT & Riccy both out - but instead of bringing in Mancienne or another youngster, Mourinho preferred to play Essien out of position, thereby effectively f*cking up our midfield. Even Ferreira was stuck in as CB, and he was having enough problems playing in his usual position! Our owner seems to be convinced that money buys success, so whenever a player starts looking ropey, out comes the cheque-book. I've never been happy with that at all - I was discussing this with Tim W the other day/evening as we were doing our best to drink Hastings dry - we agreed that one of the most exciting times as a Chelsea fan was when Eddie Mac was in charge and bringing through the youngsters. OK, so we were in the 2nd. Division and skint, and therefore he didn't have much choice - but it certainly worked. I also agree that Ronaldinho would be expensive, if not in transfer fees, then certainly in salary. But a has-been? I don't think one under-par season makes a player a has-been.
  17. Good point. Look at the wealth of talent that were attracted to the Bridge when Ruud was here, plus of course, Gianfranco. I think it would be a great move.
  18. Of course we're friends again! I think that most people in the UK are more distanced from the horrors of the holocaust than people from mainland Europe, for obvious reasons. Relatively few in comparison had family members or friends who were taken to the camps, though I doubt if anyone who has seen footage of the trains being loaded up for places like Auschwitz, Dachau and the like will ever forget the awful images. I know I won't, and that's why I took such exception to what I thought you were inferring. The holocaust wasn't just limited to the Germans though - thousands, or more likely, millions of Jews were exterminated in Russia too. Then there was the genocide in America, when the Native Americans were almost wiped out - though that was over a longer period of time. I don't believe for a moment that the Chelsea fans who sing those songs to Tottenham are in favour of genocide - the songs are merely a way of winding the c*nts up - I suppose the British sense of humour takes a lot of understanding We do seem to have veered off the subject of Joey Barton just a tad....... ps - I still f*ckin' hate the French!
  19. BB, why do you automatically assume that I automatically assume Joey Barton's alleged attack was racially motivated? I'm not sure you didn't read carefully enough, or had your PC buttons pushed, or whether I was being ambiguous. That sweet family tradition I mentioned was merely about spending time in jail! I don't give a monkey's ass who was assaulted by whom, and who was polkadotted, striped or furry. Maybe you should read your own post again - quite open to misinterpretation. If I made the wrong assumption, then I apologise. I told you that people in the Shed Bar were singing the 'Auschwitz' song, and you reacted as though I'd personally supervised the genocide! I seem to remember you asking me why Chelsea fans hate Tottenham so much, yet every time I tried to answer you interrupted me. Could it be that the answers I was trying to give didn't fit your suspicions? I'd swear you wanted to hear that it was an anti-semitic thing, but so far as I know it was nothing of the kind. To the best of my knowledge, the hatred for Tottenham started in the mid-60's, after a big punch-up at the 66/67 FA Cup Final, and escalated with a massive ruck at WHL the following season - coincidentally the season I started going to watch Chelsea - though obviously I wasn't involved in the trouble, being only 10 at the time. Naturally, I made up for lost time a few years later Sorry, but I feel I'm not an authority on this subject - more in Moos' territory I think
  20. Same here. I know Barton's got a reputation as a bit of a tw*t, but that doesn't mean people should pre-judge someone when they have very little, or no evidence at all, of what actually happened. Valerie, why do you automatically assume it was racially motivated - because of his brother's behaviour? I'd be pretty surprised if it was racial - nigh on half the Man.City squad are black. If it was a racial attack, surely they'd have kicked the crap out of him? I'm not defending Barton, just pointing out that as the details of the incident haven't been made public, he's getting accused of all sorts merely on his reputation, or worse still, on the reputation of his brother. And that's not right.
  21. I voted SWP - his appearance turned the game in our favour - we were struggling like f*ck before.
  22. Chippy - why don't you come in the chatroom?
  23. The only player of any note so far is Drogba - the rest of 'em doin't even look like they're trying
