Chelsea v Fulham, Wednesday November 28th
its not just being successful its the stupid management of the club, the insane cut-throat owner we have, the whole culture of Chelsea football club - not just that we are winning. I question how that would not have an effect on any Chelsea fans.

Is it possible to switch football teams?
yeh fk it, we're having an interesting conversation and we dont have to change what we do out of fear of being called plastic. all i remember reading is basically 'why do i unconditionally support chelsea' or words to that effect. dont see that as 'plastic'. that terms is thrown at people that appear to have just come since the money started, not really anything to do with what we are talking about.

Is it possible to switch football teams?
I’ve thought about this seemingly irrational support of sporting clubs a fair bit. Especially in the aftermath of RDM’s sacking. After the previous sackings, I think I was probably more optimistic than annoyed, especially AVB, didn’t like the guy at all, the football we played was rubbish. But after Robbie, I was so annoyed, and I started thinking, why do I support Chelsea? The brief background is, I live in Australia, in 1997 my family moved to London with my dads work, and lived there for 3 years. When I went over there my uncle says to me, make sure you support Chelsea (cause he did). So…I did. But to be honest I didn’t actually get into it that much, I was in year 5 at school, but I remember watching games on tv and I dressed up as a Chelsea player to some new years aprty we went to (by wearing my Chelsea scarf and shirt). Anyway my real passion came when I came back to Australia, and I don’t know why. When I came back I played football from that point on and really got into the EPL. Don’t miss a game now – which means getting up at 3am on a Monday morning before work to watch games on an internet stream. I digress. I remember in my undergrad degree at uni (I did some psych) they talked about an experiment where if someone was wearing the shirt of a team you didn’t like, and they fell over in front of you, you would be much less likely to help them than if they had say a Chelsea shirt on. And whenever I see people in the streets with a Chelsea shirt, I feel like im allowed to go talk to them, we have a ‘connection’. But why? Its about creating some kind of identity of yourself, you are a Chelsea supporter, as though this makes you different from non-chelsea supporters. It becomes part of who you define yourself to be. When people ask you what you do, what you’re interested in, how many of you would mention something about Chelsea? I know I would. But what is Chelsea now? its owned by a dodgy Russian billionaire, who we thank for bringing success to the club, but otherwise would probably detest as a person. It is managed by a bunch who just want to maximise profits, flog as much merchandise as possible and charge ridiculous prices to attend games? Players come and go depending on who is paying them more (bar a few, Lampard, Terry and co). Anyway rant over, and with no concluding thoughts or answers. If you do a quick google and google scholar search on the topic of why people follow football clubs though, you’ll find some pretty interesting reads.

Chelsea v Manchester City (PL) 25/11/2012 KO 16:00 GMT
ahh have calmed down from yesterday and now just want to see some positive changes in how we play. Whilst im still annoyed RDM got the boot, im optimistic that this kind of drastic event will lead to a change in the determination and passion of the players, a big wake up call. lets hope everyone pulls the finger out, and lets see a positive, energetic display. City will be very tough, its an opportunity to take points away from them, lets see what we can do.

Fans Anti- Abramovich protest on Sunday (Merged Thread)
dont just pretend like nothing happend. RA is a tosser, let it be heard. but i guess the most productive thing is in support of RDM as opposed to anything completely negative. yes the PLAYERS deserve our support, but not really anyone else tbh. make us heard. i live in sydney so cant help you guys out but i wish i could

Robbie Di Matteo sacking (merged)
im fkn livid. im so p1ssed off. maybe ill get a lot of hate and called not a real supporter, but im just questioning my support of this club now. ive been a fan since 1997, ok not as long as many others, but still some time. i have a poster of my profile picture next to me at work right now, but i am sick of this management, i am sick of RA. Robbie was a legend, he gave us our first ever champions league, supposedly the thing RA wanted most. We go through a slump after starting the season very well and tahts it, gone. well thats bullsh1t. that is complete sh1t. what are we supporting when we support chelsea? the players have all changed, the manager changes twice a season, the owner is a prick we all just let it slide because its brought so much success to the club we love. i wear different chelsea jerseys every time i go to the gym, today i just dont want to wear it.

Chelsea v Manchester Utd (LC) 31/10/12 KO 19:45 GMT
Sturridge set the tone for his performance when he managed to single handedly fall over from that great Moses cross. Absolute garbage, only thing he's good at doing is being unpredictable because he's not sure what he's going to do himself

Shakhtar Donetsk vs Chelsea (CL) 23/10/12 KO: 19:45 BST
Just reading this from the Chelsea blog on the ESPN site - "The benched Gary Cahill must wonder what he has to do gain a regular starting spot given his relatively flawless start to his career so far at Stamford Bridge." And i couldn't agree more. I don't hate Luiz, in fact i like him, but Cahill has just looked quality every time he has played for us so far, and gets in with a goal here and there as well, seriously, what more can he do?!

Chelsea vs Norwich (PL) 6/10/12 KO 15:00 BST
not excited for lampard mikel....was only just reading an article on my official chelsea app about ramires being great returning to his central role and 'will be there again when we play norwich' or something to that effect.....def dont think ramires deserves to lose his place, only hope it is squad rotation, seeing norwich as a weaker team.

Chelsea v Stoke (PL) 22/09/12 KO 15:00 BST
Actually really liked how we played at times. I know it looked 'ticky tacky' or whatever but oscar, mata and hazard look really good. Agree it makes us very narrow with three guys all playing a similar role but it really looks nice. Was REALLY disappointed with Ivanovic diving, thought that looked terrible, and hes traditionally been one of my favourites on the team - a solid, strong defender, not a fairy diving all over the place. Didnt think oscar's dive was nearly as bad as ivanovic on those two occasions.

The Oscar thread
haha this whole post is gold. although i do have a friend who is a big gunners fan and he hates mertesacker. never using him in fifa anyway....

Chelsea v Reading (PL) 22/08/12 KO 19:45 BST
obviously good to get the win, thrilled with that, sitting where we belong AT THE TOP. But must admit we looked dodgy at times. And our 4 goals - a penalty (deserved), a keeper mistake, a clear offside and then a tap in when the goalie was out.....would have just been better to feel like we really deserved 4 goals. Excited to see hazard and oscar looks class. Torres looks pretty garbage and now i just dont think hes acually going to ever really change. Start sturridge down the middle.

Favourite Drogba Moments
so many highlights from this guy. im so sad hes leaving but i think its definitely the best time for him to go. his last kick as a chelsea player was slotting the winning penalty in the champions league final. amazing. to be honest he had a rough season, 5 goals in the pl? not great but on the big stage he is a monster and he brought it again and again when we needed it. a great person. a great player. will always be a chelsea legend.

Man City v Chelsea (PL) 21/03/12 KO 19:45 GMT
id say we definitely have the worst run home. spurs, newcastle, arsenal and liverpool. Arsenal have city and us to worry about, - rest they should win. spurs have us and thats about it, although they arent playing that well so fingers crossed...... tonight was very dissapointing after the absolute grit and passion showed by the players in recent games. looked like the 'old' chelsea of this season.
-
Chelsea v Bolton (PL) 25/02/12 KO 15:00 GMT
haha mata broken finger!? he'll be fine! they can put a cast on it or whatever. gotta harden up a bit. we all know what we want from this game, a confidence booster from absolutely obliterating bolton, taking that head of steam into the next couple of must-win games and then pumping napoli at the bridge.....lets do it.

Benitez approach!?!?!
Re this article: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1025842/agent:-no-official-chelsea-approach-for-rafael-benitez?cc=3436 Please no. I cant possibly think why this would happen....i mean Benitez??? i hated how liverpool played under him (towards the end anyway). Not a quality manager in my opinion. lets stick it out and see what this 'project' offers first.
