Apologies if a similar thread was made already, I couldn't find one! I just wanted to see what peoples opinions are. Personally I think it's disgraceful how Lampard has been treated by both manager and fans recently. People seem to forget very easily that he is one of the greatest midfielders of all time and that he has been one of our most consistent performers for a good 10 years. Do you think he should be starting? I just can't see why Miereles gets started instead. What is your favourite away kit you can remember? The one yellow kit with blue sides from 1997-1998 is definetely mine as it brings back some great memories from when i was a kid. In terms of style probably last years with the orange stripes.

Luiz would certainly be a good captain in a couple years time. Other candidates could be; essien and mata.

Being at the game on Sunday, I'm beginning to think Chelsea fans are turning on him. His chance in the 78th minute or whenever it was showed that he has 0 confidence. I needed a bit of reminding myself and watched a video on youtube, he was literally the perfect striker. Yes I'd rather have someone like Cavani up front but our options at the moment are limited. Drogba - He is brilliant but he is getting on and clearly just wants to earn a massive final pay check. Lukaku - Not quite there yet and needs to be loaned out for experience Sturridge - Honestly don't think he is better in the middle than the wing. He is fast and can deliver (when he wants to!) Torres WILL come good but he can come deep/wide all he wants, he can't be expected to dribble past the whole team and then score. We need to buy someone like Hazard to provide the balls like Gerrard did and make him a prolific striker once more. Lastly.... Mata behind Torres was vital on Sunday and I hope he stays there!

Apart from the Villa game, this was one of the worst games I've watched for some time. No creativity what so ever. Cech - 8 didn't really put a foot wrong Cole - 3 one of the worst games I've seen him play Terry - 5 average Luiz - 7 for once was good but still had a few dodgy moments Bosingwa - 1 absolutely useless Ramires - 5 didn't see him do a lot, passing was poor Merieles - 3 confimred that he is not good enough for chelsea (although at this rate he will be our star man) Lampard - 5/6 was decent when on the ball, shame he went off as he would of won us the game Mata - 5 poor passing but had a few moments of brilliance Torres - 6/7 apart from his sitter, he looked decent Sturridge - 3 ...... Malouda - 1 terrible player Lukaku - 6 looked committed and clearly wants to prove himself Essien - 6 didn't really see a lot of him but i cant wait for him to return

Rumours to get him a better contract at Madrid or maybe something true for once? He is a very good player and would be great to have Mata put in midfield but he is a cheat.

The midfield will have to be on top form for us to get a result out of this game. They have really come good since O'Neil joined and after last year anything can happen. My prediction though 2-0 Chelsea with Torres to finally score.

Everyone knows he was a desperate last minute signing. Not worthy to be in our midfield. He is blocking the way for Josh to come in and show us what he can do.

I agree he does add something but we dont need another player like that, we need creativity in the team. I was at the Villa and Pompey games, we play such boring and unimaginative football.

Would love to see Essien back, he is one of my favourite chelsea players of all time. When at his best, he was the best in that position and is unstoppable. He can create,score and defend. Can't wait to see him back in action to replace that sh** bag meireles
