£44 Million Bid for Ribery?
We have nothing to worry about with Real, as long as they don't buy any defenders. They will have a tremendous mid-field, but that is only part of it.

Real agree fee for Benzema
What's up? How can Real make those purchases, are they using Monopoly money? Seriously, how can they make those expenditures? Are the payments to be made in installments over a long period of time?

As much as I dislike Real Madrid....
I like him too. This may sound weird, but he would be a very attractive woman.

Confederations Cup 2009
I just saw it again, BB, and I think you are wrong, as the keeper was covering the far post, but he just took a cheating halfstep towards the near post just when the hobgoblin kicked the ball. He was still very close to the far post when he did this.

Confederations Cup 2009
Still a nice free kick. Alves is really a hobgoblin. Hideous beast!

Confederations Cup 2009
Why is everyone so mad at Pique? Yes, he committed a handball against us, but he is not the referee, and he readily admitted that he committed a handball after the game that should have been called. Give him a break!

Confederations Cup 2009
Altidore has a body like Ballack and Droga, with plenty of muscle, and he is very fast as well. He is certainly a work in progress, whereby he needs to get much better in controlling the ball, but he would be a good grab for a team in need of a striker, and probably would be a cheap buy. Not for Chelsea, of course, but some Premier League team should take a chance on him. His speed makes him a good choice for the Premier League, and I am a bit surprised that he has not done a thing in La Liga, where speed is also a good attribute.

Just posted on this thread, since I can't stand to see that name appear at the top of this topic.

Glen Johnson
It is his crappy attitude together with his average play, Chippy.

Glen Johnson
Glen Johnson is sh*t, plain and simple. To spend 17 millions pounds on a worthless player is criminal. Let Liverpool have him, since he will wreak their team with his atrocious play. My God, I thought CHelsea had learned their lessons about paying too much for mediocre players, but I guess I was wrong.

The wife and I are going to the 'Balmer' game. PM me to set up a time to meet before the game, WW.

FA Cup final MOTM
I think you missed the first 30 seconds, since Alex had a lot to do with that goal. Drogba was absent for gobs of time, but his goal amongts 5 Everton defenders was a true striker's goal.

FA Cup Final, Chelsea vs Everton, 30th May
Thanks, Evertonian. I think the vast majority of us on this forum truly respect David Moyes -- he is a class act.

FA Cup Final, Chelsea vs Everton, 30th May
It will be difficult if Ancelloti is the manager next season, but I feel that somehow Guus will be convinced to manage Chelsea next season. I was constipated this morning, and that was no fun!

FA Community Shield
Kind of early for that, I would think. Perhaps a month from now we will know something?

FA Cup final MOTM
Without goal line technology, and since the linesman was correctly placed about 30 yards up from the goalline, there was no way they could have given that goal. It's too bad, but those things happen.

FA Cup Final, Chelsea vs Everton, 30th May
Ashley Cole played great, and since you are a Chelsea fan, I presume, please stop calling him Cash.

Loz, who is that person in the right-most photo of the 2007 cup win?

CL Final, Barcelona v. Man U. 27/5/09, 19:45 BST
Emphatic NO. At their best and our best, the team that scores the first goal will likely win, and they would have as good a chance as us in that regard. Let's be realistic, BlueBosnian.

CL Final, Barcelona v. Man U. 27/5/09, 19:45 BST
You know we are screwed when next year there is a Frog referee in one of our CL matches. Then I will throw in the towel.

CL Final, Barcelona v. Man U. 27/5/09, 19:45 BST
Would you have written the same thing if ManU won, Mr. Chelsea?
-
CL Final, Barcelona v. Man U. 27/5/09, 19:45 BST
They rely too much on Ronaldo, and when his game is off, which is not too often, they are in trouble. Rooney has some explaining to do, did he go out on a bender last night?

CL Final, Barcelona v. Man U. 27/5/09, 19:45 BST
Barca did what we should do when we play ManU, expose their weakness, their midfield. If Park would have punched in C. Ronaldo's free kick that bounced off Valdes, then I think this game would have ended 1-0 to ManU. Oh, do I hate ManU!!!! I actually feel pretty good now. The quadruple, my arse!!!

CL Final, Barcelona v. Man U. 27/5/09, 19:45 BST
I think that is a bit harsh, Loz. The only thing that I think SAF did wrong was to start Giggs, probably out of sympathy, and he had no business being out there. Rooney was out of it today, for some reason, and Puyol and Pique played like gods.

CL Final, Barcelona v. Man U. 27/5/09, 19:45 BST
The referee was excellent. Congrats to Barca. I hate ManU, so I feel especially good now, though I think we would have destroyed ManU if we were there, which we should be.
