Chelsea under JM and Barca under FR have had brilliant players in all their victories it is not just that they are such brilliant managers, which they are but both teams have had top 3 players(in the world) on every position during these victories. They have had the talent to bring out the best of the players in the right time. I think Rijkaard is a great manager but he wont change our game to look like Barcas since we dont have ronnie, messi, eto'o etc and I dont even want them here. I would like to see us winning titles with the guys we have since I'm convinced it is totally possible. At the moment I want us to change manager when the season is done. Will it be one of our own, Rijkaard or Ancelotti who knows. I think this squad can win anything under the right guidance.

Maybe we should try 4-4-2 now that we got two capable strikers avilable. ............cudicini............. belletti..riccy..terry..a.cole .............mikel................ ...ballack.........lampard.... .............j.cole............... ....drogba...........anelka... If it doesn't work, change anelka to kalou and change back to 4-3-3. I woudn't play with sinclair in these important games. he is championship quality. maybe as a late sub at most.

That is possible. I think that the decision to boot JM was made really quick and impulsively as all sorts of setbacks piled up and as Grant was available and willing, his managing career started. After that Abra/Kenyon hoped that as our squad is top quality Avram/anyone would do okay. Well this has happened actually. Grant has done what was expected of him. Nothing more. Winning a cup would be a huge plus. Winning the title would be a huge bonus. Maybe there was no manager available who Abra and Chelsea think was the suitable follower for JM. Avram's 4 year deal was just made to blind people to think he was chosen with much thinking and consideration. Maybe Avram is a good tactician in the CL? Who knows? Olypiacos game was bad but otherwise we have done well there. Tubby-Rafa seems to wake up when he hears the CL theme since he is hopeless in the EPL and very good in CL... Maybe we win the CL and hail king Avram... Anyway.. This certainly raises lot of talk. Which is really good for ShedEndForum!!

Well actually I'm not that concerned about changing managers for example in 3 year cycles. I think it is quite normal. I think Wenger and SAF are freaks of nature so to say. There are other examples of managers being many years with a same club but is that the only way to stay in the highest category of teams year after year? If the club runs well with all the youth players and staff and so on I don't think the manager is that vital any more. Dont get me wrong he needs to be top quality but doesn't necessarily have be the same guy all the time.. JM didn't get along with the owner and he got the boot. Is that Abramovichs' fault or JM's? Both actually but JM was the employee and Abra employer. He should have known it.

Few things came into my mind reading all these "sack Avram" posts. First. The squad selection for the final was weird so to say. Why indeed leave Ballack and Joe Cole out? Jose would have played with the best players available and not start the Rafa-rotation in a crucial game, even Rafa wouldn't have done it. Why put super skilled center striker Anelka to play in the wing?? And after 60mins, which is too late, realize that this was a bad decision and switch DD with Anelka. DD isn't winger any more than Anelka. USE either Anelka or DD or play 4-4-2.. Anoter thing. Should we sack Avram now or at the end of the season. We have still Premier league in our grasps as well as CL and FA-cup even more so now that Arse lost Eduardo and two points. Should we make a nice little change in our managerial team? Avram to be pointed the director of football and TenCate-Clarke work with the players and take care of management. I'm pretty sure it wont happen because we still want to be silent and give time and look and calculate. Not act. Not too much silwerware to be expected im afraid.

If that really happened I really would like TenCate to be the next head coach. He seems to have some sort of fire in him. Avram "the toad" certainly don't seem to possess that sort of authority needed to put star players in their place. I bet JM had so much charisma and authority no one wanted to mess with him. I know there is a difference between bully and a charismatic leader but I think Ten cate just could be the latter one. I think Terry is the sort of player who needs a manager who is a bigger authority than him. If he don't see it in the manager he bursts out in some point.

There is a point in the your topic octville. I feel the same now. Avram can't push the players in these big games. That is a fact. We played poorly in the second half and Spuds deserved their victory. They could have killed the game of earlier but we were lucky then. We can beat easier opponents with the massive skill advantage that we hold but when it goes tactical and psychological we lose everytime against more skilled opponents. Avram needs more time? Maybe. I would change him to TenCate or someone else.

I'm not sure what you mean really by "had a go at him". I think there wasn't anything unusual about the way Ballack tried to cool him not to be send of. I dont think it is Drogs fault but our performance's have been soulless for some time now. There is no passion and no significant style that defines Chelsea's playing style. Maybe the Jose is wearing of from our players and they are clueless what Grant is after.

Peter surely isn't going to be MOTM...Can we come back from this now? It calls charachter..Spuds are probably the best counter attack team at the moment so we cant go all out or this is over in a heartbeat. If chelsea come back now and win we have to hail king Avram. Have I been watching the same game here? We are creating nothing but so are Spuds. Mikel is okay. It is not perfect but we are 1-0 up. Did you think we are going to be 3-0 up before the half or something. We are playing really defensively and so are Spuds. Even the one goal is good between the teams after what we witnessed. It is a tight competition and these are usually resolved with a freekick goal or from corner.

Mikels tackles are soft as silk compared to that clumsy zokora. He should be off before ramos takes him off. RED CARD RED CARD!!
