Most Disapointing Chelsea Player This Season So Far?
Essien haven't been as great as always, but he has been good and solid so he has not disappointed me.. I think no one has really dipped this season. Everyone has kept their form and most of them have even managed to improve. ...But maybe you got a point there BrianM. Essien is, when I think of it now, the only one who is not playing as well as we have used to see him play. Still he is a midfield leader and a rock who everyone want's and who no one want's to face. The Bison!

If you had to choose CFC player of the season now...........
At the moment our Brazilians are pretty much the players who have been consistently good. Kalou has been consistent and okay but I just dont think he has done enough to earn that title... Alex or Belletti for me! At the end of the season I'm am guessing it is going to be Ballack. He has the element of positive surprise with him.

Mr. Piz
We can sell him summer, but not now. I want to see him play alongside Anelka. He could be very good at supporting Nic. And if Sheva's injury prolongs or someone else gets injured we need him anyway.
-
Welcome to Chelsea Nicolas Anelka
..And good luck. And you better start scoring right away!

Has Essien been granted dispensation to fly back
Hmmm..Would be great if Essien could play tomorrow. DM spot is really where we miss at the moment.

Chelsea v. Tottenham Match Thread
Sheva will play? We probably hear about Anelka later. Hope he can play! And about your formation, looks good. Maybe I wouldn't put Bridge instead of Florent since Bridge is quite one dimensional though he is in great form.

Nic "really wants" Chelsea move
BTW did you notice, from your anger and grief towards Mikel/ref, when Yakubu scored against us, he did "the bird" or what the h*ll is it called. The trademark Anelka goal celebration. Is it also Yakubu move or did he just want to stick it to us? I mean when the rumour is that Anelka is coming to Bridge..

If you call frustration, anxiety and fear of losing interesting, I'm with you..

Frank is getting better
agreed. This is the sort of mf formation to play in CL or against big clubs.

ANELKA DEAL VIRTUALLY DONE ...
Why dont we just offer 13,5mill so the deal would be finished soon. 1 mill is a lot of money for Bolton, but not that much to us.. We NEED the strikeforce of Anelka facing Spuds. They are in good form and we can't rely on Pizarro. Defence is the key against Spuds since their strikeforce terrifies me to be honest... ..Why risk this deal trying to haggle the price to the limit...

Mikel
source: http://www.chelseafc.com The team has coped well in the latest absence of the first choice keeper with four wins out of four and the man between the posts during that time, Hilario, has spoken about succeeding over Everton on Tuesday with one man less on the pitch. 'Even with 10 men, we believed in ourselves,' he said. 'It is difficult but we pushed hard and we had a chance to score. We believed until the end that we could win the game. 'Mikel is fundamental to us. When we lost him it was hard to find the way to play again and it was difficult to get the win but he has nothing he needs to say to us because he went into the challenge to get the ball. He didn't want to hurt the player, he just wanted to get the ball. 'The refs are more focused on this kind of challenge and everybody has to adapt but on the pitch in that moment, the players are only focused on the ball.' Hilario is a teammate, but still...

Arse and the Sp*ds
That is just mean . But as long as we have Abras money we should do it just because we can..
-
Where the hell are our new signings?
I'm hoping that we get Anelka before Spurs game so he could play. Otherwise we have plenty of time to get other players as well. You remember that Gallas-Cole swap which was finished allegedly in "the last minutes of the transfer window". I think we have other offers in at the moment. They just haven't leaked yet..

Mikel
Dead on! I think Mikel is integral part of our game. Or will be anyway. Sidwell on the otherhand has no skill, no passion, no vision, no nothing. He should have stayed at Reading. Mikel is a liability on the pitch, but only because he goes blind once and a while not because he can't hold our midfield.

Carlo, Maka and Sheva back in lineup by next game!?
Oh, thats right. There is no mention of that game in 4thegame.com(maybe I should switch to skysports or some other site). Well Maybe Sheva is back for that game then... .

Carlo, Maka and Sheva back in lineup by next game!?
Our next game is 21st of this month so we will probably get Carlo, Maka and Sheva back by then. That is good news. I think we have a good line up when we face B'ham away(on the 21st). Maybe even Lamps is back by then?? ------Cech/Carlo-------- The Bell-Carvo-Alex-Bridge ---------Maka---------- --Ballack-------Malouda-- ----Joey/SWP------------ ----Sheva-----Anelka?---- subs/res: Paolo, Tal Ben, Pizarro, Joey/SWP, A Cole, Sidwell, Sahar, Sinclair Maybe our newest additions are in the line up by then who knows? Ivanovic, a midfielder...

Mikel
The fact is that he has taken 4 red cards. Were they unjustified? Maybe, but he's the only guy in our team who has had 4 reds. Avram really needs to point out to Mikel that these clumsy tackles need to stop. Period. I don't think Mikel is stupid. He is really passionate player and sometimes he just goes totally blind. When Everton got a hold of the game little bit Mikel decided that it is our turn to attack and threw out that tackle. Result: Red card! He really needs to start thinking what he is doing! Great player, great potential but he needs some guidelines!

January Sales
We need to keep Sheva atleast till the summer. He is good asset for us in the CL. He knows how to play in that cup. After the summer might be better to find a good and young replacement for him. After the Everton game Pizza looked useless so maybe he should go in the summer as well. But I think we need to see Pizza paired up with Anelka with a little bit changed formation so we can really tell if he is good or not. He ran like h*ll in the Everton game but almost everytime the ball was passed to him he stumbled with it. And few times it looked like he didn't want to win those long balls...Those long balls that Drogs eats for breakfast .

Everton MOTM in Cup Semi 1st leg
Thank god it was only better than Pizarro. I think it was little bit sluggish at times.. SWP, Ballack, Bridge, Belletti all Great performances! And overall great game from us. If you had to go to negatives I would say Pizza really needs a friend up there and Sidwell looks like an amateur among our other players. In the end of the game when we were(strangely enough) chasing the winning goal with 10 men he(Ginger-Steve) kept passing the ball down to our defenders since he has no vision and skill to turn around and find spaces. It made me a bit furious.. Im glad Sweepy rose above everyone and headed home the winner. BTW don't you just hate when they take away the goal from the player that obviously should have given credit on it. I mean SWP goal was marked to Lescott and QPR goal was marked an own goal by the goalie when Pizza's only good shot in this season went in. Why is that?? I understand if it is marked an own goal in a goalmouth scramble or in CLEAR case of own goal. But when a player does really well to score and it hits someone on the way its taken away! No one gets credit for those own goals but the embarassed guy and he is hardly couning them..

Malouda's shown some skill. He passes well...Okay Pizza is off so now we will just wait if Everton scores or not.. boring.

Carling Cup Everton at Home Thread
Now now get a hold of yourself . Ballacks freekicks are good in current Chelsea standard, but Zola's were silky smooth and they left the keepers standing like statues. It is good to see Ballack in good form wearing the blue shirt though!

Carling Cup Everton at Home Thread
I take that to mean that Paddy Power is going to be making some money on that bet today. source: http://www.chelseafc.com Paddy Power and Chelsea FC have a couple of great offers for Blues fans ahead of tonight's semi-final first leg against Everton. 10/1 Shevchenko First Goalscorer It's not a joke or a mistake, Paddy Power are offering Chelsea fans near enough double what any other bookie is offering on Sheva tonight. How can you ignore this, if he's fit has to play (remember if he doesn't play you get your money back).

Legend or leg-end?
If he leaves this summer the only way he will be a Chelsea legend is that he is the essential part of our success in winning the EPL and CL. If he scores an hat-trick in the CL final against, lets say ManU he will become a Chelsea legend in time.

Our Free Transfers?
You need to be more accurate E!!iot. Santa Cruz is pretty. Pizarro is pretty-bad-at-hitting-the-target. Nevertheless Rovers fans wont see the difference. I dont think our free transfers have been bad. Tal, Steve and Pizza are all good players and they have all played okay. I mean how many matches have we lost with them on the starting line up. They just all seem to be little bit colorless characters. They wont spark any team coming on the pitch. They just somehow do their job. Ballack was free and he starts to look good eventually.
