You DO sound like a broken record! . He is better going forward. That is the only part I agree with you. I think Bridge is playing when we want to bolster our attack on the left side and/or bolster our attack all around. Cole usually leaves behind to help defence and it looks like he is told to do so. The crossing part and the brazilian comparison are just wrong BrianM. He is average at crossing and he sure doesn't play like his collague on the other flank. Bridge works well with Malouda or Kalou by passing fast and accurately, but his crossing is not that good. And when he comes close to the territory he doesn't know, the box, he seems to feel like he is a long way from home. He played great against Everton last time so I hope he is picked this time as well though I am afraid that Grant will go for more defensive formation, so he picks Cole. I think we need both and both can fit in the team. I hope this Ivanovic guy is good. Maybe we can do Ivanovic vs. Cole vs. Bridge soon! .

I think it is different facing ugly looking mean british defenders with legs like two oak trees than these small nigerian defenders. The goalie was really stunned there as well. He obviously couldn't even move after Kalous run since he just stood in the middle of his goal and still Kalou put it in the middle. Maybe this tournament is good for Kalou. Maybe he comes back as this goal scoring machine and helps us win the title against Manure.

I agree. I think Avram and Jose chooses the one who they feel can defend better. Bridge usually gets his chance to play when we play carling cup or against lower teams. Otherwise they have chosen Cole. We really should try to keep Bridge since he knows really well the left flank and how to use it in attacks. If we are trailing in a game Bridge could be an attacking option to the left. Bare in mind that Belletti is our number one right back and he is sometimes(really often actually) in the attacking box. The other side needs to be protected in case of counter attacks. But I agree with most of you that Bridge has played really, really well and still Cole gets picked for the next game. For competition it is bad and unfair. I totally understand if Wayne want's to go.

I hope they stick with Rafa. He is uncapable of winning the EPL. It is even hard for them to finish 3rd or 4th and not trail with over 20pts after the season. If they part with Tubby they are going to get a better coach...

I watched a re-run of Barca-Racing Santander. This Giovanni(gio dos santos) played for 60-70mins and was not that inspiring. Barca was quite uninspiring the whole game. Bojan seems to be Messi jr. with all the antics involved, not as good though by far. Iniesta looked okay. He really has high confidence level with the ball. Ronnie was nowhere to be seen, though he is probably injured at the moment. I'm really somehow afraid that Ronnie is leaving the club. I really hope he doesn't land here. He is still great player but he is too much of a Barca reject at the moment not to mention his career peak is past him. If we do get him, the only way I somehow prove it, if he comes cheap. Clearly Barca dont need him anymore!(?). We are probably the only team that can lash out big bucks so that Barca would get as much money of him as they possibly can...

Yes, I heard that they clone people in Moscow these days. The cloning is partly funded by Roman A. They don't want them to be exactly the same so they change their nationalities etc. Panucci was the first cloned footballer. Why? Apparently he is a huge fan of Dolly. Maybe he's not that good at communicating with people. The best thing for him is to move to a team who really needs him and will play him for sure. That way he can show what he is capable of.

I think it is really hard to buy players who are "going to be great". You might buy the youngster who is cream of the crop in his age and still manage to blow it. The player might be great when he is 14-16 but the troubles could start when he moves long way from home and the settling takes a lot of time and his development stops etc.. There is lot of luck involved. And the academy or the team needs to handle him right and give him the right amount of support etc.. When you have great academy with long history of procuding great players to the world(Lyon, Ajax..)you have better chance of making those young guys into great players. I mean those teams are doing the business of selling these young stars to teams like Chelsea with big money. Chelsea is a big supporter of Lyon for example(Essien, Malouda)...Well maybe Lyon isn't the best example since they buy lot of players from other teams...but anyway. Auxerre, Guingamp... Maybe our youth team and academy is just developing little by little. To keep in mind that Abramovic hasn't been here with his money too long.

If it indeed is Gio Dos Santos, Avram is clearly kissing our a*ses by giving us this young talented the-next-ronnie kid. He won't be playing in our line-up that soon, is he? He's born in -89 so he is 19 this year.

He seems to be Carvalho type defender. Not too much defending in those clips, but otherwise. Carvo could run past 11 guys and score..if he wanted to. This Ivanovic guy seems to be fast and strong enough to play in the EPL. Good at corners and has a decent shot. Defending skills? Who knows.. but I think Avram would not have considered him if he wasn't good at that.
