Over all we have shown a lack of urgency, when we speed the ball up we look best. Up the tempo and the reward will come.

I think Lamps is entitled to have an off game every now and then. You can see he is his own worst critic, he will come good.

Essien for me, although I thought they were all superb and could and should have probably got a third. Special mention for Juan, a true gent and a special player who will no doubt be hurt by not playing but does things the right way, top geezer.

Torres deserves a start on sunday, it's his all round work rate that might swing it. That said if E'too gets the nod I'm sure he will cause them problems too. Either way a one nil win with a og will do me. Cmon you blues!!

Great win tonight, thought all round we looked committed. The back four done superb, although Dave looked a bit nervous or off the pace early on he got better as the game went on. JT/Cahill look very sound and Brana took care of Draxler when on our right. I love Rambo especially in europe, he just strides like a racehorse when given space, Lamps was sensible in there. Hazard and Oscar are splendid and Torres seems to be responding to Jose's challenge. It's not just his goals but his work rate can't be faulted and one of the best things I seen tonight was his run to take the defender away for Hazards goal. Previously he would have run into the same space as the ball carrier and become too congested. Super run, super performance, keep it going Fernando.

Torres gets the vote from me, Cech once again proves he is the best keeper in the league and not many in europe I would prefer to have between our sticks.

First off lets be delighted with the win, perhaps we should have scored more but we done the job. Sideshow has not done himself any favours with that attempted back heel in the first half and it seemed to have spread to Cahill in the second half. When the post match analysis is done these two will be squirming watching it, they are better than that and we deserve better. Willian, again his non-cross to an open Torres was awful. Regardless of who we were playing nor the fact we were two up, he should have squared it, again I'm sure in the post match video this will be pointed out to him. Mata worked hard enough but looks off the pace, understandably, but don't think he has done enough to work himself into a starting place. Essien looked comfortable and it's lovely to see him back in the blue. Torres was my MOTM. Got into good positions which he hasn't done, and tracked back well, Jose looked pretty impressed with his work rate at the end of the first half and he kept going during the second. Happy with the win though, could have been a banana skin. Anyone here remember Scarborough ? Exactly. KTBFFH.

So everyone as I don't have my finger on the deadline day pulse so to speak. Whats your best guess'es as to if there are any surprises left or if its all done and toasted ?

I would rather we have Cahill than anyone else, he is solid enough, as brave as a lion and can come up with a goal when needed. He can improve as any player should aim to but he would walk into the starting line up of most teams in the league in my humble opinion.

Be glad when this saga is over with, to be honest be glad when this window closes and we can just get on with playing football. All this talk of Rooney coming in, Mata or Luiz leaving is just a distraction we could do without. For what its worth (and not a lot at that) the Etoo thing doesn't enthuse me at all, would have felt buying the Drog back on a rolling contract would have been more beneficial to us.

So having a sh*te stream and not being able to get a real gauge on the game. But its seems like we are awful at passing tonight and a lack of a natural outlet up front is showing us to have no real threat to Manure. Are we so afraid of losing that we set up to accept a draw but hope for a win ?

John Bumstead has got to be up there for that overhead type goal he scored at Elland Road. The way he fooled every defender into thinking he was going for a diving header only to flick it in with his heel was amazing. If Messi scored that it would be the best goal in the world ever. Johnny Bumstead and Messi in the same sentence !!! It might be a slight dampener on the quality of this goal to say , I don't think even Bumstead knew he had scored or how he had scored , but a goal is a goal. Vote for Bumstead.

I like the look of us , we are passing superbly. Albeit not always coming off it's lovely to see us playing attractive football. Should have been out of sight a bit earlier but well done lads.
