Hey no quarrel from me on Berty, but as a back up. We need to look at someone who is going to replace Ashley (eventually) and whilst I'm full of hope for the man, Berty hasn't quite reached that level. Just sayin'.

OK I may have jumped the gun earlier because he is still in charge for this USA gig, but still he is nearly gone and I'm happy. No praise, no big up's, no my hombre, no nothing. Went into work on thursday morning, if I've not said before I work in a more or less 50/50 split of Utd and Liverpool fans. So not one word of congratulations from Utd fans but plenty from the Liverpool fans. Kept my counsel on the previous nights victory until they started, 'what a w**ker JT is getting into full kit again'. Sat back and took it and then hit them with Rooney collecting his medal in full kit. This was explained because Utd had already won the league so he knew about it, again says I, he wasn't in the matchday squad, this once more met with attempts to bluff me away. It's a simple case of not being a Utd player, who it would seem are forgiven any indiscretion, just to say knobbing your brothers missus is about as bad as it gets but being a Utd player they don't have a problem with it. JT being in his kit doesn't bother them, JT bothers them. He has them so rattled they actually believe their own bullsh*t excuses. The Liverpool fans didn't give a sh*t if he was in his kit or not, they don't like him but there was no nonsense regarding this kit rubbish.

Obviously it's not as prestigious as the CL, but one of my happiest memories was winning the CWC in 1998. I was in the Sports cafe on Haymarket, full of Chelse, when Zola scored the place f**king erupted, everyone was covered in beer, hugging each other strangers but we were all Chelsea and we had just won a European cup. I will be just as happy should we get the result, c'mon Chelse!!!!

Very disappointed. What's the f**king point of getting young good talent, loan them straight out and sell them.

My first season thoughts on Hazard are as follows. I really didn't know what to expect from him as I hadn't seen him play at all, only you tube clips which can make even Heskey look good. His start was tremendous, running at teams was something I felt we had lost, directness, but on the floor. A little bit of a quiet period, followed by an excellent end to the season. His balance, pace, close control are sensational. I love when he justs gets the ball and takes players on, he generally beats them or draws a foul, either way its yards gained and the team on the front foot. His defensive duties have improved, he tracks back more now and he really could prove to be an absolute star for us in the next few seasons. I don't want to liken him to anyone because he is his own man, but he definately of late reminds me of someone. All in all I'm delighted we have him, Utd fans can try and convince themselves that Kagawa was better value and a better player. Sorry lads its like trying to convince themselves that they are not sick over Moyes joining them instead of Mourinho, which they mostly wanted.

Don't know what to make of tweet by Mr Owen, but given his RM connection anything to it ? Congratulations to Frank Lampard on breaking the record. I'm pretty sure The Special One will offer him a contract once he takes the reigns. michael owen (@themichaelowen)
