Barcelona 09 or Man United 08? CL
Not for me, given you have to look real hard to find a United fan that is not a complete biased twallop. And cause the only reason United won that day is cause Didi lost his cool, we had them well on the ropes till then imo.

Our Youth on Loan
Sam is doing good at Forest so far I hear. If his fitness holds out would be amazing to see him come back at our first choice RB. The lad might still be able to become our Stuart Pearce, or maybe the next JT.

January transfers
For one this to be true: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2196970/Radamel-Falcao-join-Chelsea-48m-January.html?ito=feeds-newsxml What that would mean for Torres I do not know but we do need a class alternative to him for me and Falcao once again showed he is class. Who knows maybe they could work together... Fellani would be my other one, would give us that midfield dominator alongside Ramires/Romeu/Mikel etc. Not that I am unhappy with our ins this window, just those two would offer us improved options.

Chelsea v Atlético Madrid (USC) 31/08/12 KO 19:45 BST
Only "friends" of mine to gloat were United fans. But there again they are the worst of the worst in the England so expected nothing less, they had naff all to say on May 19th and are now left getting pleasure from when we stutter.

Michael Essien loan
I'll back Robbie, like I have done the managers before there. Even if things pan out in the league like last season and Roman fires him he made history as a player and has made history as a manager. He got the job done last year with what he had, now he tries to give Roman what he wants, winning attack minded football. If he fails he walks out head held high, the man conducts himself pure class. Roberto Di Matteo Chelsea FC legend.

Chelsea v Atlético Madrid (USC) 31/08/12 KO 19:45 BST
Alarming a few players could fit in to the category of looking slower and poorer by their standards so far this season. Brana, Luiz, Ash, Lampard and Mata being the main ones. Good reason for most of them is they had long seasons past and are knackered, I wonder if we need to give certainly Mata and Ash, and maybe Brana too, a few weeks off to rest, then a week or so of just training.

Chelsea v Atlético Madrid (USC) 31/08/12 KO 19:45 BST
Only got to see some highlights, was hard to single out from that any sort of good defending or defensive play. Would be a chance to see what Cesar is about, give Brana at shot at the CB position we hear he would rather play. Far as Mikel goes I wonder if in away games against none top 6 sides if more mobility will suit us better, hence Raul and Rami.

QPR vs Chelsea (PL) 15/09/12 KO 15:00 BST
Hate international brakes off the back of a defeat, and it is even worse when it is off the back of a thumping. So a few weeks to stew about that farce today and think about the next game, QPR. Knee-jerk reaction team: ------------------------Cech -----Cesar----Brana-----JT-----Bertrand --------------Ramires-----Meireles -------Hazard-----Oscar------Moses ---------------------Torres--------- Thoughts a few weeks away from this one? Back on the winning track? Changes afoot or same old same old? Will the wheels come off after tonight's games and being falling off, as they did last season, at Loftus Road?

Chelsea v Atlético Madrid (USC) 31/08/12 KO 19:45 BST
Maybe knee-jerk but I would like to see Robbie make a load of changes for the game against QPR, starting with ripping up the defense. ------------------------Cech -----Cesar----Brana-----JT-----Bertrand --------------Ramires-----Meireles -------Hazard-----Oscar------Moses ---------------------Torres--------- Unlikely but you never know, after this shambles seeing our two more no nonsense CB's back together offers me some encouragement.

Random Rumours
Yeah if we had signed anyone would imagine it would have braked by now. A shame, we appear to be short in some key areas. Spurs did rather well today. A disappointing day in so many ways for us.
-
Random Rumours
I'd be shocked but delighted. Though really Torres should be on his bike if we bought another striker. I'd say is more likely andre schurrle than Falcao, he would cost 50mill odd right and would be an ultimate knee jerk reaction from Roman to just go "Oh this guy murdered us, I want him"

Michael Essien loan
What a stupid transfer on our part. The world's biggest club cannot afford a transfer fee so we loan them Essien? Absolute piss take, we are shocking at conducting our business of selling players.

Chelsea v Atlético Madrid (USC) 31/08/12 KO 19:45 BST
Well was at work while this horror show was going on so found it hard to believe my eyes when I read updates on the game. Have since gotten to see limited highlights and...well...what a shambles. Atletico are a decent side but no more than that, and we made them look like Barca at their finest. Terrible defending, our deep midfield and back line parting like the red see and had it been Barca at their best it would have been 7 or 8 not 4. Players an absolute disgrace to themselves. We had our pants taken down hard in this one. The club should refund the supporters who made the trip for this "match" including hotel costs.

Sturridge Transfer
Rumours quote Schurrle's price would be 18mill-20mill and yes if Danny has made it clear he will not sign a new deal then it would be better business to get what we can now and use most of it to get Schurrle than lose Danny for nothing next year.

Deadline Day - 31/08/2012

Sturridge Transfer
Latest rumour is that Schurrle will be signed before the deadline, allowing Danny to be loaned to Liverpool. Would be rather foolish in my opinion but if it is what Robbie wants...
-
Deadline Day - 31/08/2012
Have to agree with Tom. Either danny signs a new deal or someone comes up with a fee. No reason to give him to Liverpool for a year then see him leave on a free. Edit: Rumours now that Schurrle will be a last minute deal for us, though am not sure we need him.

Champions League Draw
Cannot say the order of the fixtures is a surprise, as the top seed gets the most power of veto when determining the order the games are played in. We like our last group game to be at home, as well as the first one normally. If we can take the 3 points off Juve in the first game we would fancy going to the Ukraine with 6 points. Games 3-5 really look tough, I would say we need the 6 points from the first two games to give ourselves the best chance to progress and progress as group winner.
-
Champions League Draw
Reminds me of some of our previous groups, one year was Porto and one of Valenica/Atletico I believe, with a 4th side everyone was expecting to beat, Hapeol maybe? Anyways could have been tougher, could have been easier. Shaktar are a good side and the game away will be tough, and both Juve games will be tight I would expect. But we are the Champions of Europe and should fear no one. A good chance for this new look side to prove themselves against two good sides, while showing they can also focus when expected to walk over the Danish side.

Any last minute wishes/business to be done
No one is likely willing to cover his wages while paying us a fee, so loan left as the only option. If everyone bar the injured Marin, Flo Mo and Yossi have traveled to Monaco, then likely Sturridge and Essien will not be leaving before the end of the window. We will probably just loan Yossi and Flo out to get their wages off the books. That will be our end of window business most likely. Disappointing but the rest of the window has gone very well.
-
Man Utd to offload Rooney?
Been said a few times before, and like before is bs imo.
-
Any last minute wishes/business to be done
Our first team seems well covered, so if we are to make no more signings my wishes would be that we are able to sell Flo Mo, Essien and Yossi, while finding a Prem club that would loan and play Romeu for the first half of the season. If Danny goes because he will not sign a new deal then I would like another striker to come in as a further option behind Torres. Not sure who though.
-
Michael Essien loan
I do not see it happening, nor do I see us getting rid of Flo Mo sadly. I expect Sturridge, Raul and Yossi are the only likely no youth players to go out before the end of the window from us. If we get an offer of 8mill or so for Essien bite their hand off for it.
-
Sturridge Transfer
Ideally we get him to sign a new deal, but if he is not going to sign we should sell him. Allowing a legend like the Drog to leave on a free is one thing, but a talented young player like Danny who could make an impact at any of the top sides if he continues to develop as he has done in his time with us, is just not good business. If he goes on a free he could end up at Arsenal, United back at City etc at least if we sell we can get some money in return for how we have developed him since he came in from City and ensure he does not go to a direct rival.
