  1. The amount on Danny was what? Around 4.5 rising to 6 based on what he did and set by tribunal. Wait a year if we really want this guy and get him for around that imo, 12mill far too high.
  2. But if Roman wants us to be Barca in blue a very attack minded right back flying up the side, becoming more of a right winger, does fit though.
  3. lol well he has seen more of him than we have, and we do seem to have an affection for Belgium of late.
  4. This would be beyond a joke if it was to happen. Why would Barca not talk to Didi and has something out BEFORE he signed for Shenhua? It was only a week ago for goodness sake! Would be appalling on both their parts. Cannot see Didi being so shady as to come out and talk about the new challenge, his ambition for Chinese football then to turn around and go to Barca a week later. He seems a better man than that.
  5. First chance I have had to see a full England match in this tournament (due to my work schedule). I have read the articles, match reviews, seen highlights. All this about how England have been United, the cliches have gone and everyone pulling together for the cause, inspired by media darling Steven Gerrard. Based on this one game, cannot say I really saw a lot different to our other recent international tournaments. Promising in small doses, but largely ineffective. The team? Joe Hart, very average. Inspired no confidence and flapped at a lot of things. Poor punching ability. Silly mind games that failed in the shoot out as Pirlo dumped him on his backside and changed the momentum of the shoot out. The back 4. Decent showings by all of them, nothing really stood out as a mistake but better finishing from Italy would have made a different impression. The midfield. Pretty awful has to be said. in this game did any of them stand out? Parker for his drive maybe but no quality in the final third. Wrong choice by Roy in which wide man he took off. Young the most terrible of all the middle men. The forwards. Carroll great work ethic but the first touch of a donkey blindfolded, Rooney poor and Welbeck given no service. Roy. Bad call not taking a chance on Lamps, even worse taking Rooney when he missed the first two games and lacked sharpness for it. Inept tactically and had no positive effect on this game with his changes. Has done his stop gap duty and now is time to get rid and get a decent squad builder who will say goodbye to the ends of the golden generation and build a new, balanced side.
  6. Very similar in terms of our success against Bayern was this game. Even had the disallowed offside goal in there, just no late drama in the 90 mins. Guess the jinx of the first pen miss strikes again. I imagine many would have said the same of us had Bayern won the CL final as Zeta said of England here.
  7. Robbie came in after two manager jobs to assist AVB so do not think that would put Franco off if the right offer was made.
  8. We have had these links before with former players meant to be coming back as coaches. Marcel coming back would be great, as would Franco if we could make it happen.
  9. Strange one this, looks to be Robbie putting his first moves together. Though a rather low ball bid, and unlikely to have an effect on Porto dropping the Hulk price.
  10. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2161317/Chelsea-damage-European-Cup.html Uefa will be even less happy with us now lol...
  11. Tough end of the season as normal. Oct/Nov once again a long list of tough fixtures. In recent years that period has broke us, will see if we can do better this time around.
  12. If it is Wigan away then one of the form teams at the end of last season and a side that has been dodgy for us over the years. However assuming that is wrong and for fun, my guess at the first three fixtures: City (away), Arsenal (home); Norwich (home).
  13. That would depend on Robbie, and how well he can judge Maicon if he talks to him. If he has enough fire left in his belly then he was once a great RB. As you said a couple of years of him at his pomp would be a good option, but whether he has that left in the tank or not I do not know.
  14. Could Theo Walcott become an option if Hulk cannot be signed? : Source: http://www.mirror.co...-arsenal-887140 Edit: Given our last transfer with the gooners, maybe a swap with Sturridge would work for everyone. Each gaining an English trained players that has 1 year left on his current deal.
  15. Danny has 1 year left on his contract right? If he does not sign soon we would be mad not to look to cash in rather than lose him for free next year. 15mill would do for me just fine. Letting Bos go for nothing was one thing, Kalou another; Danny would be even worse!
  16. Possible but unlikely. I do wonder if the reports are true that Brana does not want to be our No 1 RB, and wants to be a CB and RB only in emergencies. If that became the case would he get ahead of Luiz and Cahill to partner JT short term? Would he sit back and wait a few more years for JT to take a back seat? Though given Paulo's age and Bos leaving, we could do with a new RB.

  19. Porto trying to use the media to make us up the offer, maybe we are using it in the same way to make them drop the price. Either way it seems to have really become quite on Hulk, and if he does not come then I am not concerned. Mikel/Romeu---Lamps/Another midfielder Marin/Ramires---Mata------Hazard -------------------Torres--------- Some good options there, would not say no to more additions if the right quality at the right price comes up. Is also important to clear space by removing the deadwood we are carrying heavily here. Flo Mo, Essien and Meireles could all do with moving on and lowering the wage bill imo. We also need to sort out Yossi's future.
  20. I expect, after all that went down last summer, Levy will try and sell Modric to anyone but us.
  21. Read a rather strange rumour that Perez told Jose he would not back the deal for Brana because he was worried he would flop like fabio coentrao did. If that ends up being true cannot see Jose being too happy lol
  22. Have to agree on the price. We should say what others say about us, is Real Madrid, a very wealthy club. If they really, really want him and he wants out, then they can pay 30mill plus. He held together a backline including Boswinga and Ramires against Messi and co after all.
  23. If he decides he wants a new challenge though is what I am saying. Not like the Drog who could leave at the end of his deal but still he could force a move if he wants.
  24. I read that today Sky Sports said this move was moving closer. Would not want to see Brana go but you can understand a few of this side thinking they achieved their final goal winning the CL.
  25. Good choice by the club, Robbie deserves this. Rather ironic that two kicks of the ball changed both Robbies and good old Uncle Arrys futures so drastically eh?
