I'm already buzzing for it. Given our excursions to Japan and Monaco respectively a gentle start would be preferable. Can't wait for our games vs Spurs, Arsenal and West Ham, they will be even better than usual after our European Cup win.

Who does everybody want in the first game?

Have to say part of me is glad all the teams that went up are south of Watford, last thing we would need is those long Northern trips after CL games and the CWC/SuperCup

If it's at the Bridge, will there be a program before the match for the trophies we won? If so, it would be great to play someone like QPR, start the season off with a thrashing.

Home to QPR would be nice. Just hope we get an easier run in than last season: City (a), Spurs (h), Aston Villa (a), Wigan (h), Fulham (a), Arsenal (a), QPR (h), Newcastle (h), Liverpool (a), Blackburn (h). Yikes.

The draw and form are funny things. A few years ago, only Arsenal and Liverpool would've been considered challenging fixtures and our opponents would be moaning about how easy our run in was!

I'm hoping we get as many big teams away as possible in the first few months. We always start relatively well in comparison to our title rivals and while I can't be bothered to check for sure I have a gut feeling we have, on average, done better in the league when we have faced our title rivals pre-October than when we have faced them after?

You know that you're going through serious Chelsea-withdrawal when you can't wait for the fixtures list. Forget the Euros, it's Chelsea that counts!

I always get excited but when they come out it's a bit of an anti-climax really.

I just check who we are playing first, look for all the big games etc, sure enough we will be playing everyone twice, yep, still have another 2 months to go though!

Word is we've got Wigan away 1st game of the season, not sure how true that is though.

That wouldn't be to bad if we had to start the season away.

Just wonder if we'll get one of the newly promoted teams for our first home game?.

Would be great if it was the spammers.

If it is Wigan away then one of the form teams at the end of last season and a side that has been dodgy for us over the years.

However assuming that is wrong and for fun, my guess at the first three fixtures: City (away), Arsenal (home); Norwich (home).

No one at the club would know who we have! The club get the fixtures emailed to them the morning they are released. I worked at the ticket office in luton for work experience and the fixtures were released while I was there.

Andreas, that fixture list needs to come down ASAP or the forum could get into a bit of trouble pretty quicky - its a crazy copyright rule, but fixtures cant be listed without permission.

Anyway - the second half of the season is a lot tougher than the first, really tough ending too.
