How Do You Judge Success for Chelsea (in the post R.A. era)?
The trouble is the press would know that it hasn't been a failure, but would put either plain lie or put such a spin on the articles that it would be perceived and believed by the retarded British general public. The thing is this happens in every article from the gutter press and often in the not so gutter press, which i suppose makes this post totally pointless

neanderthals.... cheers lads
we can only hope that Watford do em' if last weekends premiership results stand for anything....

Taxi for Ferdinand...
Much as I can't stand him, I don't think Rio was totally at fault there, Van der Sar was completely out of position and should have been back on his line to let Rio comfortably deal with the the situation. yes, i also think Van der Sar could have done more once it had passed him. 2 critical errors from him in my opinion... it was lovely to see though

Playing the offside trap- Lesson 1 - Don't be a Muppet
I watched that in the pub on match choice with an Everton fan last night... I thought it was very funny, he didn't seem to see the funny side of it though

How Do You Judge Success for Chelsea (in the post R.A. era)?
Due to injuries, rumors, bad press etc... that you have suffered this season to still be in the title race, champions league and fa cup and having won the league cup is nothing short of a miracle. And JM deserves all the credit he can get for obviously keeping team spirit up when the odds have been stacked against you. I honestly think that this season is already a massive success for you. Whether or not you win the remaining trophy's remains to be seen, but you are still in them and that is what matters. Personally I am hoping that you get knocked out of the fa cup next Sunday (can't see it happening though) but will be cheering you on in the title race and champions league.

The Great ManUtd Slip-up
Not forgetting of course that they also play city away, not that I think city are any good, but derby matches often throw up unexpected results. *crosses fingers*

neanderthals.... cheers lads
but Watford are a quality team.... unlike those manc twats

neanderthals.... cheers lads
just to let you all know if we play anywhere near as badly as we did against the mancs you will have no problems getting to the final.

man Utd vs Blackburn
utterly utterly devastated

United cracking?
words cannot describe how utterly gutted i am

Class strikers thin on the ground
to be fair i only put McCarthy in that list because he's in the top 5 premiership scorers, had it been Henry or someone else rather than McCarthy I wouldn't have included him. i'm not a delusional about my club, i know what we are and what we are not

semi ticket news ?
That'll be both teams slaughtered by the press and bbc then, you're not the only team with this problem even though it's only round the corner from Blackburn we'll never shift 30,000 tickets it's only a small town with just over 100,000 people.

Class strikers thin on the ground
To me there seems to be a world shortage of top strikers, if you look at the premiership most goals with a few exceptions (Drogba, Rooney, McCarthy excluded) seem to be coming from midfield. I was talking to a Liverpool fan just after we sold Bellamy to them and he reckoned they had got a bargain due to the lack of strikers about these days. Whilst i don't agree that he was a bargain he does have a point.

neanderthals.... cheers lads
i know really

neanderthals.... cheers lads
tsssk i can't believe you've labeled us neanderthals on the main page *sigh* savage is injured you know! despite what the press etc.. will tell you we aren't just a team of talentless hackers anymore. Anyway hopefully it'll be a good semi final even if it is being played at a stupid venue, the press must be thrilled to bits at the prospect of all the criticism they can throw at us when we don't sell out our allocation. I watched your match against spurs at the ferry port the other night and was glad to see you win. Nothing against Spurs but i f**king hate the club and there fans, some of the twats in the pub were cheering on west ham the other day to try and wind me up, i just found it very ironic. Anyway i would say may the best team win, but won't because i desperately want us to win! other than the intertoto i feel this is our only real chance of getting into Europe, sad but true i know. Fingers crossed that we can make a dent in man u's lead on Saturday.

3 games in 5 days
which begs the eternal question why play internationals during the season and not during the summer when we the fans would be more interested in them as we loose the will to live due to lack of football, and key players are risking picking up a knock when the seasons at its most critical? oh thats right the FA is run by a load of morons...

Barton at it Again
I watched the game in the pub and we were all laughing at her, sky did brilliantly to pick her out i bet she's getting some sh*t from her friends I think Barton went to show his arse at his own fans but thought better of it, it was funny hearing the city fans sing "your not fit to wear the shirt" so he threw it at them, not really the best way to endear yourself. I'm surprised though how bad City are I would have thought Pearce would have done better than he has.

The FA Cup Semi Final Draw and venues
well that was always going to happen, no chance of a fair or sensible draw from the FA is there? I would imagine that the twats will decide that it'll be played at Old Trafford despite the fact that there is no way in the world that we would fill our allocation, but at least the press could complain about our crap support though. Although they might play it at Cardiff so all the fans have maximum distance to travel (except me ;) )

Nine 2 go
Amen to that, though I bet if were to happen it would probably be a pretty nervy affair for all concerned!

if no premiership title, is the season a failure?
Superb post, if you think you deserve the title you are either deluded or a Manc fan. Who in all honesty wants to see the same club win the title every year, the league would soon get incredibly boring. It's a good thing in my opinion that Chelsea have been able to break the "will it be Man U or Arsenal this year?" mold. Chelsea from my point of view as most others here have said have had an absolutely fantastic season. With the injury's that you have sustained to still be in a position where winning the quadruple is still on is nothing short of a miracle.

oh hell
And a win for Bolton today against Blackburn (sorry 2k) will mean Bolton are back in the hunt for 4th spot again. Thats no worries, though i think Bolton have hit their usual run of bad form in the season, though i have to note it does seem to be getting later and later on in the season that it's happening. maybe by 2011/12 season they'll be aiming for the title I have to admit though that we were pretty lucky with the result, I was stressed right out at the end! I think there have only been 3 or 4 teams to beat them in the league at the breezeblock, Chelsea being one if memory serves correct so i was very surprised and happy with the result. I was expecting 0-0 Back onto united, i was gutted that they took all the points from there game. But I thought that they looked dreadful for large parts of the game, so hopefully *fingers crossed* with the suspensions, injuries (which they have been f***ing lucky with this season) and not forgetting age of some key players they can drop 4 points and loose to Chelsea. Maybe we'll take 2 points off them on the 31st. if we defend like we did against Arsenal at the emirates the other week it would be quite possible. I certainly don't feel that it's over yet!

In life you reap what you sow - don't you Gooners!
Top fella! Remind us to give him a round of applause on his return! Cheers guys I managed to watch the game in a pub in Barcelona, which was excellent. and obviously i'm well chuffed with the result. I wouldn't normally take the piss out of opposition supporters, but in this case it was different as the so called "supporters" are nothing of the sorts, they know nothing about the club, it's history they never see matches, just glory hunters really. Not that there has been much glory recently

Its not often that happens
It was a superb result for us yesterday, i'm quite surprised really as i feared the worst! I don't know if we'll be able to make the UEFA cup in the league because as you rightly stated we are terribly inconsistent and we have suffered several major injuries this season (i promise to stop banging on about that!) however we might qualify through the intertoto cup as Hughes has stated an interest should we not qualify automatically. I would love for us to finish in the top 6 again, but even despite us finishing strongly at the end of last season I feel that this year we've left ourselves with too much to do. Personally i'm not to fussed about the competition, (I have slagged the competition off else where on this site) i don't like the stupid kick off times, relative lack of prize money and the "European mickey mouse cup" attitude that people have of it (including me) Anyways i'm off to Barcelona for a small break for a few days, so Wednesday night i'll be scouring the pubs there desperately trying to find one showing our match against Arsenal! fingers crossed we beat them, especially whilst they are down
