yogic
United have 9 games left in the Pl. After their game against Boro in the FA cup .. their next game is in a week .. so they get plenty of rest. Sat - 17th .. Bolton at HOME Sat - 31st .. Blackburn at HOME Sat - 7th .. Pompey AWAY Tue - 10th .. Sheff UTD ... at HOME Sun - 15 .. Chelsea AWAY Sat - 21 .. Boro at HOME Sat - 28 .. Everton AWAY Sat - 5 ... Man City AWAY Sun 13 .. West ham HOME - If we win our game in hand and say we beat United at the Bridge .. the gap is down to 3 points. So ... we need them to drop a total of 4 to win it (assuming we win all our games) - we still play Arsenal away .. and got Bolton at home. Anyone see United dropping 4 points? and us winning all our gameS?
Virosh
I can see them dropping some against Everton (and thats far from certain), but other than that- it has to be some hell of surprise if we catch up. I am sorry to say that. Still hoping

BLUENUT
Bolton H Everton A Man City A Possible point droppers, but their home game are 3 point gimme's all the way. If they fail to beat Bolton at the weekend we may have a chance of sneaking it, but after a 91 minute winners at Fulham and Liverpool, sometimes you just gotta think their names on it. It's theirs to throw away and ours to creep up and win, but the destiny of the title is in their hands at the moment. Until the maths say we can't win it we'll be breathing down their necks!! Killbill
I can see Man U getting knocked out of the Champions League, the FA Cup and lose to Bolton and Blackburn. Beware of the ides of March.
ethicalstrategy
Bolton HEverton A Man City A Possible point droppers, but their home game are 3 point gimme's all the way. I know what you mean Bluenut, but I can't believe that they will finish with 99 points so they will have to drop points somewhere. Obviously 3 at the Bridge, but it doesn't take much to draw a couple - usually when least likely. How about they lose at home on the last day to West Ham to let us nick it? At the moment I see us as being 3 points behind - after we win our game in hnd and beat them at home. So not such a big gap.

It seems that the Chelsea - Man U game could be moved (end of the season?) because it clashes with the FA Cup dates.

BLUENUT
The 1 thing I picked up at the weekend was the reaction of the Manu players after their win. Gigg's postmatch interview said' I've told Oshea to get a picture of that goal, thats something to tell the grandkids about'' They were acting as if they've already won it. 1 dodgey result and we'll be on their tails. But they do have a manger at the helm who's seen it and done it all before. Just slip up and give us a sniff, I positive we'll take it!!

I just fear that's another part of utd's fortune this season...one of the teams should make it through in the FA cup (i don't want to jinx us) and so depriving us of the chance of a major psychological blow with a few games left...there is a danger we will play them when it's too late making the game meaningless
SydneyChelsea
Could also work the other way. Moving the game to the end of the season puts the pressure on United to perform away to Everton/City etc. I think United and United fans alike know that if it all came down to the game at the Bridge, United would get pasted. Tim W
Over confidence could just be creeping in. On Swedish TV they reckoned if manure go through in the CL Fergie will pull out all the stops to change Larsson's/Helsingborg's mind and get him to see the season out. Maksimov
Wouldn't it be awesome if we had to play United in the last match of the season with still all to play for? I don't think it has happened since the famous season finale between the Scousers and Arse. Ok ManU would need to drop points before that and we need to win all our matches, though. It would be even more heartbreaking to not win that final match, but it would also be so amazing IF we somehow managed to win it. But for now, we need to concentrate on winning. It's still possible. footiemadman007
would you look at that... Bolton and Blackburn - very physical sides - at OT, and Sparky will want to give us a little helping hand as well as continuing the fine form Blackburn are in. Big Sam will want to beat United in order to get Bolton's push for Europe back on course and they're always at their best against the top sides. I can see Bolton and Blackburn possibly picking up a point each at United - so there is the 4 points dropped for you.. but its a big ask of the two. which would mean by the time they visit the Bridge - if the two draws and we win all our matches to it - we can take the top of the league against United at the Bridge; sweeeeeeeeeet! Until the maths say we can't win it we'll be breathing down their necks!! the only 3 i could potentially see them dropping some points in. we have to win all ours, and still compete on another 2 levels (fa and CL) so I really can't see it happening. However, to take the CL I think would be amazing...I would almost relenquish the title to the mancs if it meant having a real crack at the CL Scott
yuliastar
For me, Bolton, Blackburn, Everton and Citeh all seem to be the likely matches where Manure could drop points. All we need is for them to draw two of those matches (well, and for us to be beat them and win all of our matches...) However, Manure has regularly been suprised by small clubs that were thought to be a cakewalk. (think Norwich two years ago, the same day we won our first title in 50 years!) So, you never know what Sheffield Utd. could cook up. Also, I think overconfidence and the competitions they are still in just may take its toll on Man Utd. All that being said, my hope's with Sparky and Psycho.
