Roberto has done a lot for us and lifted the Chelsea spirit. Winning the CL final would be great yes but he shouldn't not get the job if we don't win. He is a great guy and deserves this, the players love him and so do the fans - plus I'd rather an ex player than a 'big name' like BlueBeard said.

I do respect Gerrard though because I like it when someone stays with a team for their whole career - shows dedication and not many footballers can say they've stayed with one team. Seems like a decent man to be honest. My heart is with Chelsea though and just a shame he is with a team I don't generally like!

I totally agree with you on this. My boyfriend is a Liverpool supporter (awkward I know) but all we have is friendly banter about it and not let it effect us. When we were playing Barca, he backed Chelsea just for me which just shows its about the person and not which team you hate. Don't know if what I'm saying really makes sense, but what I am trying to say is there seems to be less tribalism in 'real life' than on the internet which is a good thing. Makes going to matches with teams we generally don't get along with for various reasons a lot easier.

Its a real shame about the loss last night but in all fairness, Cisse's last goal was just out of the world. I just hope my blue's bring it back for Saturday and everything goes well.
