Everyone knows YouTube can make anyone look fantastic (which is why I inserted the Chalobah joke) but if you're truly an impressive player, chances are you WILL look good in a few compilations. Nothing I've seen screams "must buy" to me. Also, the lad is only 5'6. Add that to a 5'5 Kante and we'll never win another header in the middle of the pitch. Bad combo. Bad for the balance of the team. And again, if you find something I can look at that makes him look as good as you say, then please show me because I haven't seen any. Not saying he's terrible. It's not impossible, in fact, it's possible. But very far from "easily obtainable". I've already touched on the Sanchez bit but.....HOW is Aguero an "achievable" signing? Are we being serious or really "dreaming" as the title of the thread says?

Those Sanchez statements have been proven to be more of a translation thing. Sure he loves London and would probably love to remain in London but he likely wouldn't object to Munich either. The latest reports on him have actually said Bayern are front runners and he fancies them as well. You're deliberately turning a blind eye to reality if you think we're just going to stroll in in our pajamas and pluck him from Arsenal. And sure Arsenal have sold to rivals in the past. But that was all during the "paying off the stadium" phase, the last of which was Van Persie. If you notice, right after they got out of that phase, they signed Ozil and then Sanchez and haven't sold a top player since. Maybe they could cave again and sell to Chelsea now but nothing since they paid off their stadium indicates that they'll do that. We'd be absolutely stupid not to be in for him but you need to slap yourself out of the fantasy that it would be an easy signing.

He did want Cuadrado to stay. He had been after Cuadrado at Juve and in fact one of the reasons he quit Juve was the failure of their board to get him Cuadrado (among other targets). But the lad preferred to continue at Juve this season, which in hindsight looks like he made the perfect decision as he's about to win a treble there. But yes, Conte has been immense. Next season present a different kind of challenge for him and I hope he passes with flying colours again. The Manchester clubs will be better, as will Liverpool and Spurs. Arsenal will be Arsenal. I'm sure Conte also wants to win the CL. There are reports that he felt sad when Allegri took his Juve team to the CL final the season after he'd left for the Italy job. He probably has a chip on his shoulder about that, especially seeing as essentially the same Juve team (in terms of players) are in another CL final and could win it this time. Hopefully the board backs Conte and gets him all the players he wants. It feels a bit like when we got young Jose back in 2004 but with a better twist to it. Hopefully this is a long and successful marriage.

Wouldn't mind a Carlo style 7-0 for this one but that's just being greedy I guess. Would love to see Hazard pad his stats and get a hat trick or something but he's almost certainly going to be rested.

Still some ways to go to say he's better than Carvalho. Carvalho's partnership with JT is arguably the greatest in PL history, rivaled only by Rio-Vidic. Dave does have room for even more growth though, which is scary. Might be the best 7m we've ever spent. That 2012 summer has really proven to be productive for us (Hazard, Dave, Moses, Oscar). Title winning players and world class gems born out of it. Getting Mata, Courtois and Lukaku in 2011 was also brilliant and could have proven to be even better if we'd kept Lukaku. Emenalo seems to only get stick for the Miazga (or whatever his name is), Djilobodjis and Rahmans of this world but he deserves a lot of credit for the successful signings he has made without a manager's directive.

I think there's a point to be made that perhaps the academy has prioritized success in youth competitions over taking measures that would see to a smoother transition into the first team? I mean, I don't exactly blame such a strategy given the constant revolving door that is the Chelsea manager job. But still, I don't think it would be outrageous to let Conte try his hand with this. Especially if we plan on keeping him for the foreseeable future (which I hope is the case). Our academy is head and shoulders above any one else's in the country and one of the best in Europe. We have a world class player in our ranks waiting to be unearthed. We just haven't gotten around to doing that. This might be the way.

How is Sanchez easily obtainable? With Bayern also in for him, Arsenal will be even more determined to not sell to us. If we get him, it will be because he personally forced the move. Not an easy signing at all.

1. There's no proof that he supports Chelsea. Watching Chelsea (like he watches Juve, Madrid, etc) means nothing in that sense. 2. Madrid are after him. So as @Chelsbear said, he's in fact out of our reach.
