I would assume that either Ferriera and Hilario aren't on massive wages, or took pay cuts to stay at the club. Malouda now trains with the reserves/academy as a punishment for not taking a pay cut and/or moving to Brazil. As much I want Frank to stay, I accept that it is hard for a club to meet FFP regulations when they pay 150k+ a week to a 34 year old. How do you know? Did you see much of Coentrao when he was 17? It's very easy to base your opinion on someone when you only see them play in the Euro's / World Cup. And I'm not disputing the fact that Luke Shaw is very talented for his age, I'm disputing the fact that you think Coentrao is sh*t. If you had seen him play more than once or twice, you would know that he isn't sh*t at all.

So Coentrao is 'sh*t' but Luke Shaw is a 'top player'?

I reckon he will get his contact. I love Berty, but it's obvious that he isn't even close to being as good as Cole yet. Makes absolutely no sense to let him go, unless the Coentrao rumours are true.
