Rafa's confusing mind games
Beautiful Mak. We're on the same page then What about this one then: "I'd be worrying a lot less if I thought you (the Panda) we're worrying enough."

Rafa's confusing mind games
Yeah but don't you think he's overstating/girding the lily a bit as far as the referree is concerned? If I was the ref I'd be clearly annoyed at these rather transparent and obviously manipulative sort of comments. Of and by itself it's a dangerous game that he plays as far as the ref is concerned. But then again maybe he knows more about the ref than we do?? Why we can't have a german/dutch ref anyway? I mean italian refs are either very good or very bad imo.

Rafa's confusing mind games
Well what about this then (one of my favourite film lines - adapted for the occasion od course) "I think that that (Benitez's comments) represent in you a degree of hypocrisy that I've hitherto suspected but not noticed due to your highly evasive skills." Loz is know where that comes from.

Well Qaz they might give the Messiah up if (the) Roman(s) (love it!) give em enough dosh: Say $50 million euros. What's that to Roman - so he has to forgo that new fit-out on the fleet later this year. So what. If he wants entertainment at the colliseum he has to pay for it.

"Milan Won't Pay for Sheva"
You can bet that Milan has money problems (have for some time) and that's precisely why Berlusconi is out the door - the classic distancing/let the law (the italian law!??!) tie me to any of this sh*t. It'll be great watching those f**kers implode.

Rafa's confusing mind games
I think we should have some of our groundstaff standing right along side the technical area in case Benitez gets out of hand with the 4th referee. Tosser. Love to see that bloke from Millwall give him a bit of how's ya father if he gives any lip.

Chelsea Vs Liverpool (2nd Leg)
Maka or Mikel? (the rest of the team really picks itself IMO) On the one hand its hard to go past what worked on Staurday and worked really well. However, I doubt that anyone believes that Ferguson came to the Bridge to win the other day. Their midfielf played a deep containing formation for much of the match, there was no Tevez or Ronaldo for much of the match as they wanted to play on the counter and were prepared for Rooney to become isolated which he was for much of his time on the paddock. The filth, on the other hand, will come out all guns blazing to try to secure the goal before they then park the bus and play on the counter. Based on that assumption what do we do? Start with Maka and take the cautious approach or put faith in Mikel, Riccy and JT being able to snuff out the threat of Torres and Gerrard, play higher up the park ala Saturday and allow the tank and the bison to take Alonso and Mascherano on early? I really think that if we adopt the Maka/cautious approach from the off we'll be playing into Benitez's hands. I think we've just got to go for it and attack - we've got the away goal and we're at home we're thay haven't scored for what 4 years? However, I can equally understand on that basis alone why some might prefer the more cautious structured approach that playingh Maka will bring. I don't care of course how the win the bloody game and/or the tie but if we lose I just don't want to be feeling that we didn't have a bloody good go this time.

Tank 2:1 Shrek Best we've played in a long time; attack is the best form of defence. Mikel was exceptional-our whole midfield was exceptional. And thanks Shev.

Why do you support The Blues?
Father was a Villa man but had a soft spot for Chels (after having worked in London from 53 to 57). Anyway when I was a nipper I was manic about anything blue (bike, clothing etc.) and when Dad watched what little there was to watch over here in the late 60s/early 70s cept yearly cup finals and the Big Match with Brian Moore. Dad suggested I follow Chels because of the blue disease thing. Happened to coincide with the 70 cup final and I was hooked. Been through lots of despair since then right up to about the 42nd second of the 97' cup final and after that I just knew that we'd win it. Been a fantastic 10 years ever since - I mean we've had it all haven't we !!!

Chelsea vs Manchester United Thread
For once over here it starts at a decent time (9.45 pm) due to the early kick off and daylight savings having finished. Going out to dinner first with some other Chels and then sit back. Bit worried about the tank not playing though (if true) with Frank out! If so, big games needed fromm Essien, Mikel and Joe.

Liverpool Vs Chelsea (1st Leg Anfield)
Hoist on my own petard! Quite right. I just get the feeling that if they score they'll park the bus and even if we score they'll be very keen to defend and only really attack on the counter.

Yellow on the home kit.
IMO yellow works well for smilies and road signs and....well that's about it really. Just trying to be as polite about it as I can really...

Liverpool Vs Chelsea (1st Leg Anfield)
Totally agree with you Coco about Maka being checked/impeded but the ref let so much go on the night and we were lucky about Ballack's arm in the box so it kinds of balances out I reckon. Totally agree with Just that we must play 442 next week for at least the first 25 to 30 minutes in order for us to increase our chances of scoring first which I think we must do. The filth will just play the same game plan as in the 1st game. If we can get the first goal then we should keep that formation and pile on the pressure for a 2nd. If the filth get the 1st goal you just know that they'll park the bus, play on the counter and wait it out for penalties. If we did go 2 up and we're leading by that margin by say the 80th minute I'd then change it back to what we're used to being 433 and play on the counter because the filth would be desperate by that stage and coming in waves etc.

Slag him off now all you like
Yep. Torture is the right word alright! Unfortunately, I don't have the benefit of attending any live games (unless I'm in London which is now every 5 years or so) so to get my fill I'm stuck with all the games that I tape and that I watch over and over again.

Slag him off now all you like
Yeah pretty much. Nibs we lost the tie last year because we couldn't put em away at the Bridge in the 1st leg when we had a hatful of chances. Apart from that 4-1 result earlier at Anfield (where we clicked in about 3 or 4 plays and they made some serious defensive errors never to be repeated) which was an aberration in terms of the games we've played with them at Anfield over the last 4 years or so, what is it exactly that you thought Jose did wrong in the 2nd leg?

Blues linked with Zlatan
She'd look really good on the left...or the right...wherever...Manager?...wouldn't be any different from now except we'd see a lot less of the actual football...

Barca v. Man U 1st Leg
I think that if our owner does plump for Rijkard to replace the Panda then it must be a condition of the deal that Messi comes as well. Just buy him for f**ks sake. What a player.
