  1. This could easily become nine a side in the 2nd half. Frank is playing too deep. Sidwell looks lost. A lot of harrying from spam - that'll be promising for the last 2o minutes. 1-0 would be a good result.
  2. Derby have sacked Billy. No. 5 now. What odds on Southgate within the next 2 weeks?
  3. Loz I very much doubt that Jose would want to walk in to a club where he would have no say in transfer targets. Sounds rather familiar doesn't it.
  4. Hook, line and Bluenut Liam.
  5. The fourth in three months - can't remember a past year that so many have been sacked this soon. At this rate it'll be six by Xmas.
  6. Apparently mafiosa and now seemingly gay - all from a so called chief moderator on the site who has a penchant for dress ups. Must be a slow week Liam.
  7. This may prove to be a diffcult encounter. City will be up for it and I can't see the teamsheet being a whole lot different to what we started with in the CL midweek (with the difference being SWP to come on as a sub after half-time) albeit Uncle Fester may have other ideas. I predict 1-0 or 2-1. We just need the win and keep that glorious home record. Who really cares about the score as long as we win and the Arse down the scousers at Anfilth.
  8. News just in regarding Sheva's legs: Ambrovich has opted to replace Sheva's legs with bionic legs from NASA and has brought in Lee Majors as a consultant/therapist to Sheva post op. It would seem, however, that there has been a spat between Kissinger (who you may recall was brought in as the dressing room detente consultant after Mourinho departed) and Majors over the one remaining locker space for back room consultants at Cobham.
  9. Butch I agree about Maka - he was superb. At one point of play after yet another clean up by Maka the commentator quoted Zidane's immortal comment after Real had let Make go (after Real had failed to agree to payment terms when discussing the contract renewal): Zizou: "What's the point of giving the Bentley another coat of gold paint when you've lost the engine?" Indeed.
  10. Drogs was great but we kind of expect that these days. I voted for Riccy as well - kept things solid at the back and I really enjoyed it when he went for a few runs at the defence with the ball in the 2nd half.
  11. You taken up the fags again Loz? Christ that must've been some drinking session last Friday - you look terrible.
  12. Watched the game - because it was on early over here (9.30 pm kick-off) and because it was the curtain raiser to us at Boro. My thoughts: 1. Great acting by Gerrard - watched it about ten times - they both had hold of each other shirts (nothing wrong with that given the context) but then Gerrard, without being bumped, and without any contact apart from the shirt tugging, straigthens his right leg and just goes over of his own volition. Not a penalty in my book (albeit we've all seen them given for less) and Gerrard should 've been booked for diving. 2. Sissoko has completely lost his confidence; 3. Kuyt and Voronin are journeymen strikers; 4. Benitez's decisions in taking off Gerrard early and putting Pennant on with about 3 minutes to go were tactical blundes of the highest order but because they got the late penalty there'll probably be nothing in the press about it; 5. Lescott clearly best on field and Arteta is such an intelligent player; 6. Will the apology from the Ref be forthcoming to Goodison? Clear penalty. Probably, not, since we all know that Pool are provided with a different rule book than for everyone else (apart from Manure that is). On 85 minutes I was sure that we'd be ahead of them by the end of the weekend and was really looking forward to the next instalment of deluded scouse whinging and buck passing; Finally I think they'll win about as many away games this year as last year and they'll finish fourth behind us, Manure and the Arse. If that happens it'll be interesting to see whether they keep Benitez cos it seems to me that the "Rafalution" is about to run out of steam. Lets hope so: Calling Lescott a diver for f**k sakes - what a twat.
  13. He has been a scapegoat hasn't he. We can only hope that he comes good before Frank leaves.
  14. So maybe he should just be played in europe (apart from any games against german teams). Oh that's right, he's not in the squad for europe is he. Well then, what about the domestic cups?
  15. Kalou - called him hopeless and he didn't let me down - he scored! Shock! Stiker scores goal! Wonder if I call him hopeless again before boro he'll score again. Well done Kalou, I'm going to keep calling you crap all season. If you score 20 goals plus this season, I'll finally buy this idolatry thing and have a picture of you on the site as my moniker for next season. The sacrafices we all have to make for the good of Chels!
  16. Sheva is hopeless. Kalou is hopeless. However, it occurs to me that whenever Kalou comes into a period of sustained criticism or questioning (like for the past 3 weeks/months/years), he seems to score (even if he trundles it in off his leg without knowing anything about it). On that basis Kalou has to start. Pizarro has to start - I mean he has to score at some stage (doesn't he ?). If its all sh*te by the 60th minute, give Sinclair a go.
  17. Top post Butch - agree with everything you said.
  18. Anything for a chance at those hubcaps! And Stevie was obviously just encouraging the lad by cruising by "very slowly".
  19. Loz no one can argue with Capello's 4 titles in the 90s - not a bad team as I recall. Wasn't Juve stripped of those scudettos due to match fixing? That was a bit cheeky. As for Lippi, well not a bad manager by any means as his record shows and especially as a player's manager (albeit we all know that it should have been Australia playing France in the final last year) Anyway notwithstanding, I have my doubts that either manager could flourish in England albeit I'd love it if either of them was given the chance.
  20. Of course not. No one will ever manage a Chels team to collect that amount of silverware in 3 years. Its pure fantasy to suggest otherwise. I don't timk it would matter what line-up you had, how much money was spent assembling it or who was at the helm. And remember, 3 of the 4 comps are cups for christsakes. The best you can hope for year in year out with so much money flooding into the game and into european clubs is to try and win the league and try to get to the semis of the cups. What happens from there on in is being the best on the day against the best of the rest in England or Europe. And when you're playing 60 odd games a year, a cohesive well managed team with no defensive frailties and with a fully uninjured list is not only a must but something any club cannot control or even predict. But hey dream on everybody cos dreams are free!
  21. Terrible if true regarding Clarkey but would not be surprised at all. From all accounts he was a great match day coach and I believe that Jose credits him with a lot during those 3 years.
  22. Qaz, the evidence is, well, unassailable. If you look you will find..and oh, it been written about by quite a few. I'm just glad that Roman was far better in his "negotiations" with Putin than he is in running a football club.
  23. G4 in all honesty I don't believe it!! (We'd better get back to the Punch and Judy routine quick smart otherwise the google dollars will slow down to a trickle!) So mate as I was saying, as always, your full of it!
  24. All history is writing or a re-write. All language is a lie.
