Not an easy situation. I wouldn't let Cech go for all the gold in the world, he has been a top 3 keeper in the world for the last 10 years, now he is probably number 1 in my humble opinion. Courtois has all the ability but I just cannot justify letting go of Cech or having him on the bench, both scenarios will likely not happen. A lot depends on the young lads ambition, he probably feels he is ready to be the number one. From what I have read, he may just as well stay out on loan for another year. Why not bring him back after another year and then have him start in domestic cup matches, he could build some experience that way in the premier league and become comfortable in his future role as Chelsea's numero uno.

Always a big occasion when Arsenal pay us a visit. I think it's time our lads took a long look at themselves and did a little soul searching because the Chelsea of recent history wouldn't stand for the level of play as of late. I just don't know what to think anymore. Everything is just going wrong with this club, bring back the old Chelsea ASAP. We have built ourselves over the last 8-9 years to be a club that was feared by all, now we look rather average with all these world class players. Am I the only one who feels that Hazard hasn't been nearly as good as he was supposed to be this season and Oscar is on and off? Mata has a rare off night but for me he has been everything we could ask for in a player. Ba came on and had more legit scoring chances in about 1 minute. How could such high quality footballers produce such little chances?

The kid looks talented like so many out there at the moment but we just don't need another player like him. I would still like to see another striker and a cb/cdm. Roman does what he likes though... Lampard travesty.

Schurrle would be a great pick up for us because he plays in a league that play a similar style to ours. The Bundesliga has never looked better with so much domestic talent. A proven goal scorer at top level is a good idea if you ask me.

C'mon boys! we all have our opinions of what went wrong but are we not all part of the same Chelsea army of Blue Royalty!? We're out of the CL and it sucks the biggun', so now we have to move on and become stronger as a team and let this young talented squad find it's feet. We need to take this and secure a top 4 finish in the league which is a superb finish for a side that has changed so much about its makeup. This time next year if we are having the same issues then we really have a F*ckin problem don't we houston!? One man has said it best so far on this site. CAREFREE!! Ah well bitter sweet. We won 6-1 and normally that is something to cheer about but it still doesn't take away from the pain of creating some negative history. We will forever and always be the first team to win it and then go out in the group stages. Not really a very important statistic, just more stupid banter-feed for United & Co. I do feel some anger about the way this has all come about but you can thank some piss poor decisions from Mr. Abramovich. I am not certain what to make of today. Here is hoping we find our spirit and come out strong the good old chelsea way. I think a lot of it will depend on how Rafa lines us up, he must realize this isn't the time and place for holding back. This is unfamiliar territory for us having to rely on another club for a result to put us through. With all the facts already stated many time before me, I have to feel both Juve and Shakhtar will go for the win. We really need this result it could do wonders for our clubs morale!
