We need someone who can create and score as well as get up and down the pitch, we have Kante there for breaking up the play, we need a dynamic midfielder. Ranja and Veratti are the dreams, and unfortunately Vidal is just a little too old.

He created the first chance with a good header that could have been a goal, If that went in people would be saying how great Costa was instead of saying he was a waste of space. Instead it hit the crossbar and came back out, setting up Alonso. That's still an assist. The second one was indeed all about Hazard's run, but Costa won the ball in the air and knocked it down to allow hazard to do that. Still an assist in my eyes.

While he's been prone to injury and being a c**t, if he were available I think we have to consider it, he's been the best striker in the league since he arrived, with the exception of Suarez' incredible season. If we could get him for around 50-60 million I think we should go for it, regardless of whether Diego stays or leaves. A 3-5-2 with Aguero and Costa up front and hazard behind them would make most defences sh*t their pants, and would make us a really viable threat in the Champions League too.

I agree with you there, I don't think he was ever a threat to Courtois, but he was one of the best keepers in the league at stoke, I suppose the lack of game time would affect his confidence/ make him a little rusty, but we need him in case Courtois were to suffer a bad injury, i'd be happy knowing we have a good quality backup keeper. I guess the decision will really lie with him though, whether he wants to play more often or pick up more medals

While i don't agree with you, I think Alonso is a good player, i do think we should have tried to sign Robbie Brady (not just because I'm irish), he's a really quality player and is definitely ahead of Alonso in terms of technical ability. Also on the point above, being linked to Kante was a wet dream, we all saw what he did last season, and he's just getting better

If he's playing with a knock then he still needs to start against Arsenal, but i'd say we should give him a rest away to burnley and at home to swansea, Pedro and Willian can both play if we're playing 3-4-3, or if we wanted to switch to 3-5-2 then Fabregas can play, we have options, we need Hazard fully firing for the run-in.
