I'm dying for a clean sheet but for this one, nothing less than 3 points will do. And our managers have had a history of winning their first games quite comfortably. Also, Villa have had a slump in form recently (yeah not as big as ours), and that extra game for them mid-week will make a difference because their squad is still not the strongest in the Premier League.

Almost forgot, my prediction : 2-1. Anelka on the scoresheet atleast once.

I am going with a 2-1 win. Villa may still be a little tired after the midweek game and then the lunchtime kick off on the Saturday. I am hoping to see us go with a two up front approach so as not to invite VIlla to play furhter up the pitch thus making it easier for them to make the post of the pace they undoubtedly possess. Ferreira playing out of position and massively short of first team action is a worry and I wouldn't be surprised to see O'Neill swap his wingers over to attack Paulo at every opportunity.

However I predict a good performance bouyed by a desire to impress, two up top and Didier to be a handful.

This is a very important game as if we dont turn ours and Villas placings around it means again we are relying on other teams to do it for us.

1-1 would be what my head suggests but Villa may be a bit tired and our boys must be out to impress so I'll go for 1-2

I'm a bit worried if we start with a 4-4-2 without having played it enough we might concede a couple and we could be looking at a higher score but lets hope playing it in training has been enough.

Went with 1-0 to us, although I think there will be a lot of chances, I can see this being low scoring.....everyone else will be expecting it high scoring!

I watched Villa on the box last night, Luke Young played at RB, probably in preparation for Saturday. One thing you can be sure of, Martin O'neil will get his team to attack our flanks as much as possible, you can see it coming a mile off, our weakness (this season) has been defending crosses/corners from the wings (especially our right wing), manure humilated us from the wings and Martin O'neil has the players who can possibly do the same, especially as were without A.Cole down our left.

2-2
