2009/2010 shirt 'leaked'

Featured Replies

Didn't know whether to stick this in the rumours section or not, as there are usually a couple of different shirt designs doing the rounds that have been made up. Although, I will say, I hope this isn't going to be our home shirt next year...

I think it's a bit too early for next years kit to be anywhere near finishing, but if it is, it could well be the first year I don't get the seasons Chelsea shirt...unless the Away/Alternative are any better.

ive seen this a few times now, at this time of year there always seems to be far eastern pictures knocking about of dodgy new kits.

but dont we have another year of the home kit to go ? i always thought there was a two year minimum limit on home kits and the current one is still less than a year old.

I think the club announced last year that we would change all three shirts for next season.

Here is another vision of how next year's shirts could look like:

Carefree Chris was pretty much spot on last year... :128:

They look like rugby tops...a skin tight one that apparently imrpves your speed and movement. But the 3rd kit... :o

After looking at those pictures again, the home and away kit don't actually look too bad. We could have mich nicer ones, obviously, but they're not as bad as I first thought

That will be it I reckon. If we are to go on that same sort of picture (with the tag, dodgy mobile phone shot) of the last few years, they end up being the one.

Don't know if it's my age, but I think those 'new' shirts look f*ckin' awful! Why can't they just design a basic ROYAL blue kit, with just a badge on the shirt, stripe and number on the shorts? Bloody designers need locking up

I loved the old shirts, I don't know about you but I really dislike the collars on the present kit as well..they look alright on the players with their tight blue tops underneath but my missus got me one and I've never put it on.

I like this one

surely thats just the inter milan shirt with samsung splattered on it.

Our last really good home kit was the 96-97 one. The first fly emirates one with the coller wasnt bad either, apart from those most of our other recent kits have been sh*te and too light a shade of blue

The first one will appeal to bike riders, and the away shirt looks like something you'd wear when surfing.

Further evidence Jose is coming back! It's subliminal messaging.

I'm gonna buy you a blow up Jose, do with it what you want.

Don't care much about any of the shirts to be honest.

And why oh why do we have to get new shirts every season?

We can't afford to buy new players but we seem to be able to spend a fortune on new designs on our jerseys.

I like our current shirts (well, the home one anyway and perhaps the keepers shirt) so why not stick with them for awhile?

Correct you are. Everyones favourite chief exec came out in the summer and said that we would be switching to a new home shirt every year, but it was ok, because every other premiership team would be doing it soon as well...

If you don't like it don't buy it, they might get the message then.

Bringing out a new shirt every season is just another way to fleece their fans. Kids want the new home one or the new away one, and sometimes a member of the family is just emotionally obliged to put their hand in their pocket, but don't buy it yourself. You wouldn't buy a shirt you didn't like in a normal shop, why do it for your club?

When I started going as a kid I usually had a replica kit, but hardly wore it to the games, no-one ever did, a scarf would do. I'd play football in it all week but hardly wore it to the games, no-one did back then.

To see stadiums full of blokes with middle age spread, eating pies, decked out in sports gear, is not just ironic, it shows how much marketing (Kenyon's pride and joy) has got into the game.

If you don't like it, don't buy it, and attend a couple of extra games with the money you end up saving, you'll get the Chelsea experience and no-one will frown if you turn up in a Chelsea shirt from a few seasons back.

as the song say's 'wear your blue, see us through' noone will complain if you didn't pay over £45 quid for it.

I personally haven't had a replica shirt for years, and only get out the 70's replica for cup finals, but each to their own.

It is a massive marketing ploy - nothing more.

Its not your age at all. They are ghastly. The stretchy fabric, the "pectoral" patches or whatever the hell those are. The only one that has a design I like is that black and white, even the home kit they managed to f*ck up.

and what is with the zippers? Honestly. Isnt that something that could potentially cut or injure on the field of play if a fall was bad enough? Terrible

For the first time in many years, I can honestly say I would never wear that. This years kit I really dislike because of the "Y" front (away is a different story, like that one) and even the first one by adidas I took a while to warm up to. Now, I like it, but overall, looking at what adidas has produced vs. what we had with Umbro, I would say they have been very very underwhelming

The best ones in recent memory, for me:
