bcarroll
With RVP being linked with a move away would people like to see him in a blue shirt. Swap deal including Kalou could be on th cards.
g3.7
he's a really good footballer, but as amusing as the idea of taking van persie from arsenal and leaving them with kalou is, I'd rather any potential signings had a better injury record. also, he's a bit of a twat, isn't he? abramovich
Very good striker, a bit of a twat and has a zero chance of coming to us since he's playing for Arse. I don't think Wenger would want to improve our attacking options by weakening his own.
evissy
I don't think he is very good. He'd be top of the scoring charts if that was the case. I wouldn't swap him with Kalou.

Tim
As has been said, he really is a talented player, but he is: a) a tw@t (admittedly not a good enough reason on it's own not to sign him) a Gooner (possibly a good enough reason) c) really very injury prone (bingo, that's the killer blow). He is just never guaranteed to be fit for that much of a season, and so would represent a huge gamble and one I would not want to see us take. evissy
You Sure? yes, I'm sure. I have heard he is a major c*nt and his scoring record isn't really that good. Why is Wenger using him as backup if he is that good. Adebayor came back from injury and scored 2 immediately. VanPersie has an exceptionally good strike but other than that I don't think he is anything special. I bet he is the best player in the world inside his head. Sure - I take all that on board and I'm not a huge fan of RVP myself to be honest. But comparing him to Kalou and stating you'd actually keep Kalou? Kalou FFS?!!! Valerie
Oh nonononono, not Van Persie, please :o Can't stand the little pr*ck, he's so full of himself. Where is that machine gun thingy? Ah, here it is

Van Rersie is a better player than Kalou, it's not even close. The only advantage Kalou has over him is that unlike the Dutchman he can last all season. just
Robin Van Persie may be an uphisownarse, tit gooner, with an injury record to rival that other fragile dutch Robben. Flipside Robin Van Persie is one of the most natural finishers in top flight football who, (unlike the other Robben), has shown he can produce the goods in the big occaisions, against the top defenders .......................... when fit! just
Offside, yes............... he still had to finish it though. He scores goals, fans tend to like that. And if a striker can do that on a fairly regular basis, most fans will happily overlook his other shortcomings. The overwhelming majority of Chelsea fans loved JFH for that very reason. He knew where the back of the onion bag was. So bugger the rest of it. And, if you compare them in terms of skill, natural ability and what they bring to the team overall, Robin Van Persie is already head and shoulders above wor' Jimmy. Paul Seery
A complete non-starter this rumour is. I do not believe for one second that Arsene would want to sell him. I do not want to see RVP play for Chelsea.
icecoolguy22
It's as likely as We sign Torress from liverpool. A good player, better than Kalou, but there are others out there. It takes the fans about 3 years to get into Ashley Cole, don't need another ex- Gunner.
phildawil
I don't think he is very good. He'd be top of the scoring charts if that was the case. I wouldn't swap him with Kalou. So by your logic the best ten players in the prem are, in order, Nicolas Anelka, Cristiano Ronaldo, Steven Gerrard, Kevin Davies, Frank Lampard, Gabriel Agbonlahor, Peter Crouch, De Souza Robinho, Fernando Torres and Adebayor? Think again. (a) RVP's not an out and out striker/goal-scorer (B) His injury record deprives him of goal-scoring opportunities © It takes more than just a striker to score, and by the manner that Arsenal play, there is no one dead cert. scorer (Although of late adebayor seems to have taken that mantle) Sorry if I sound like a dick, but that's such a simplistic comment. At least if it were right (And saying he 'isn't very good', as well as the comparison to top-scorer, goes beyond opinion, its just wrong, ), it would be fine. I just don't see what is so special about RVP. He's been around for ages and he has done about half what Robben did for us in shorter period of time. Now Robben truly was injury prone. Maybe my comments about Kalou being as good are a bit over the top but still...RVP was very quiet and unacheiving against us tonight. BTW there are some 'okay' players in your list :D
