BLUENUT
Right, colours to the mast time. Who'd you prefer to reach the Wembley final, not necessarily promoted. Seeing as I'm a S'aaaf London lad with a load of Millwall following mates, I've gotta wish them the best of luck tonight, especially against Leeds, oh how the mighty have fallen. :) Still remember singing to them 'We'll never play you again'' when they got relegated. Good Luck Millwall, keep 'em down there!
BlueBeard
Got to be Millwall, used to have a lot of mates who followed them. Plus of course, Chelsea & 'Wall used to join up quite a bit, so there's a lot of history there - not to mention they're playing 'dirty Leeds', I think I'd support anyone against them with the exception of Spuds or Septic. But I'll give 'em their due, the one's I know all came up and shoock my hand and congratualted me in my local when we won our 1st league under Mourinho........I felt very proud at the time. Lofty
Millwall, no contest. The only time I can ever imagine not wanting Leeds to lose is if they were playing Tottenscum.

PraetorianGuard
Can someone explain to me why people hate Leeds so much? I recently started studying their rise and fall between 1998 and 2003.

Guest bigjockknew
Can someone explain to me why people hate Leeds so much? I recently started studying their rise and fall between 1998 and 2003. You'll need to go back further than that. I've hated them since 1970 when I got my arse kicked for opting for Chelsea in the Cup Final while on holiday in Yorkshire. Thats me personally, but generally they are cheating, unnecessarily dirty, scummy, overrated sh*te who overachieved for years through their tactics on the field and their antics off it. Back to the thread - its got to be Millwall. A) Theyre not Leeds and ;) Theyre a better side and generally make football much more interesting

coco
Can someone explain to me why people hate Leeds so much? I recently started studying their rise and fall between 1998 and 2003. It was kicked off by the 1970 FA cup final, dirty leeds and all that. Then we had the leeds service crew back in the 80's. Following Leeds' failure to secure promotion from the second division in 1989, after a 4–0 defeat to Chelsea., Leeds hooligans including Service Crew members charged the scoreboard at Stamford Bridge smashing most bulbs erasing the score from the board. Leeds fans were then reported to have chanted 'Chelsea, Whats the score?'. ......Then on aonther occasion in 84 we invaded the pitch and they ran to the back of the terracing, "have you ever seen leedscum on the run" ?see this picture here. Backbiter
Different games, surely, coco? The picture you posted was from 1984 not 89. The 84 game - when Leeds were nowhere near promotion - ended 5-0, not 4-0, although they did smash up the scoreboard that day. Just checked - we beat them 1-0 in 1989. Wikipedia's got it wrong - they must have meant the 84 game. Unbelievable day. No way could any Chelsea fans have heard the Leeds chanting above the noise of our celebrations! BLUENUT
Ha Ha - f**k off LeedsSo all the best to Roberto tonight - I hope they finish off Sc**thorpe and beat Millwall at wem ber ley I had a few jars watching the game in a Millwall pub last night. I've got to admit thoroughly enjoyed the game and the cracking atmosphere. Penalty conceded, penalty saved, Leeds went infront, Millwall scored at the death with one of their only chances. I don't know if we've become a bit blasé about getting to Wembley, but last night I witnessed grown men reduced to 'little boys at Christmas.' with the idea of going to the new Wembley. One fella was even crying because he'd always wanted to take his son there. Obviously different clubs with different fortunes, but it reminded me of when we beat Wimbledon at Highbury in 97 and we knew we were going. Remember that feeling? Great wasn't it? (I couldn't get a ticket for the Manu game in 94 BTW). Getting to Wembley is always an acheivement, whatever the competition, and the play off's give smaller clubs the chance to play at our national stadium. I think I have been adopted as a lucky mascott and didn't stop getting told ' You're coming aint'cha?' after the final whistle. And you know what, I think I will, but only if there is a spare ticket, I've already said that I don't want to take a Millwall fans place! It'll be the only visit to Wembley I'll get this year, because sadly, due to the FA's cup final allocation, and Chelsea's ticketing policy, I'm not deemed loyal enough to go with the club I've had a season ticket with for 15 years. Well done Millwall

The look on Bates face was a classic, he must have been thinking ' now who can I sell' 37,000 crowd is all well and good, but it cannot make up for having a sh*te 11 out on the pitch. Leeds situation on the pitxh is just as bad as the one off of it. -_- :D :D
