loz
Take your pick - no restrictions on how many players from any one team or anything like that. Mine is .........................................Schwarzer........................ G Johnson............Jagelka..................Vidic...........A Cole Ronaldo.................Ireland............Lampard...............Arshavin .....................Anelka .............................. Torres.......................... Bench Given Hangeland A Young Rooney Cahill Alonso Evra Granted it lacks a bit of steel in midfield and to correct that ALonso might get the nod over Ireland. andy
Very Subjective topic Loz... sweet waffle
I haven't seen any Premier League games since the end of February so my team is based on the season up to that point, kind of like what the PFA Awards are like!! (Although my team isn't based on sentimentality, so no place for you Mr Giggs) -------------------------Schwarzer G Johnson........Jagelka-----------Hangeland--------A Cole --------------------------Alonso ----------------Ireland------------Lampard Ronaldo----------------------------------------------Young --------------------------Torres Subs: Given Evra Laursen Mikel Cahill Rooney Anelka Edited June 6, 2009 by sweet waffle

The Moos
Shouldn't the "team of the season" include a manager? If so I would definitely go with Hiddink. As for the team I really feel that I haven't watched enough games to know who has been great or not. Could go on what I've heard but that might not be really accurate. geezer
Interesting that none of you have included or even appear to have considered Sky Sports defender of the season Carjacker. Quite how they arrived at that decision defied everything except scouse rose tinted glasses.

As much as I would be tempted to give it to Guus I, just as with Giggs player of the year award, don't think you should award it to someone who wasn't around for the majority of the season. I would give it to David Moyes.

loz
Fair point on Arshavin G4 although I didn't cheat as much as Mike O - he has two left backs in his team!
Backbiter
Interesting that none of you have included or even appear to have considered Sky Sports defender of the season Carjacker. Quite how they arrived at that decision defied everything except scouse rose tinted glasses. I think they just looked at his (own)goal-scoring record. I think Carjacker has been very good (solid, consistent, never injured) for several seasons, but he has played some truly sh!te games this season. How many goals did we score past him in the CL? He's always been slow and poor on the ball, and he's looked over the hill this year.
