I voted for Ivan - just ahead of Deco.

Not too many contenders today one feels....

Please don't tell me you're serious? He improved in injury time, but on the whole he was his usual diabolical self.

Thought Ivanovic was the only one who showed any promise today. Malouda when he came on, but a 9 minute cameo doesn't deserve an MOM.

Some people obviously feel it does - two votes already?

Ridiculous.

Lost my stream for a little while but I thought he kept running and moving the ball well - some great footwork at times.

Felt he showed when other midfielders went missing today.

We always get it when we lose - people vote for the player that got 3 minutes out of some stupid sense of 'they were all crap form start to finish - at least player X didn't annoy me'

To be fair, he was the most active of our midfielders, Lamps was poor, Essien couldn't pass 2 yards, I've never seen Ballack be so poor, Mikel nor Malouda did anything wrong, mind.

Ivan the Terrible. Sadly, terrible was what the rest of the team was, but Ivan's consistency is remarkable. He just needed to watch that temper, but the whole team was losing their cool

But he wasnt, by any stretch, the worst out there.

In midfield it was like

Essien

.

Deco

.

.

.

Frank

.

Ballack

Our best: Ivanovic.

Man City's best: Webb.

We sound like the pissy ass mancs a month ago, talking like that.

That was nothing like Obrebo-gate. He gave bad decisions yes, but what did we create?

I voted Essien, and thought it was close between him and Ivanovic.

Worst performers were Ballack, Cech (don't forget his goof in the 1st half that Carvalho saved him by his nice header on Lescott's shot that on goal), and A. Cole (totally skinned by SWP).

I also thought Deco was the best of the midfield four. Lampard had a total howler and Essien seemed to run around eager to cover tonnes of ground and look good on the Sky Sports tachometer stats but without really being effective. Ballack wasn't playing was he?

I think that you were harsh on Essien, but totally spot on with respect to Lamps. He has lost his mojo big time.

That how I saw it Loz. Very disappointed with Ballack today. He started well and made a massive contribution on our goal and then completely disappeared.

What was equally disappointing though was how rattled we got and how we completely lost our discipline. If we had stayed composed we would have come away with at least a point today.

Ivan for me definitely. I also think that the two midfield players introduced later on (Mikel and Malouda) did well.

Ivan by a mile, Deco and Anelka were okayish, Malouda and Mikel were good but only had short run outs... umm, meh.

I was calling for Deco to be subbed and Malouda or Joey to come on, not because he was bad but because I thought he was the likely one to be hooked and wanted to see it earlier,

He played quite well at the latter stages which is more than I could say for Frank or Michael.

Ivanovic looks a very good player now in either position and easily was the pick of the bunch on a bad day.
