Next season's kit

Featured Replies

Just wondered if there is any news on next seasons kit.

I've seen that a few teams have announced their new kits, and thought that there's usually a leak or something by now.

Not a fan of this seasons, so hoping that we're not staying with it for next season.

That's a good idea..

Never heard of XTEP though, aren't they umbro this season?

In my opinion, umbro are making the best kits at the moment - simple designs, that fit well.

Umbro are definitely making the best kits (read: simplest) no doubt.

Birmingham allowing fans to vote for their kits, quite a nice idea:

That is a great idea, and wish it would take hold at some other clubs. I have no doubt the fans will vote for the most basic one there, but in my opinion the one with the chevron on the chest is really nice

Why on earth would it be red there? Leaving aside the historical reasons for a second it doesnt even look aesthetic pleasing to do that. It makes me think people at the club have no input as to how it looks.

Make that white and it would be just fine, imo. Looks like the one from 2003-5 which was fantastic and simple

I still don't understand why we have to change our kit EVERY year. Ok well I do, but I think it's a little foolish.

Agreed, its a racket. Go back to the system of keeping a kit for 2 years, and then at least you have at least one new one every offseason (home, third, etc)

Some clubs are still doing it out there. Barca and Man Utd are still wearing kits from last year

I know nobody is making us buy them, but it gets too expensive for the supporters, and as we have seen in the last few years, it makes for pointless designs where they just change stuff for the sake of changing stuff

Agree. That would also bring back the good nostalgic emotions ;)

Red? I could deal with yellow on the collar from last season but red is a bridge to far for me. Still haven't found a reason to upgrade my old 'Fly Emirates' one from 2003.

I think that jersey is nice a lot better that the last one although my favorite is the centenery one when we won the league the addition of red to the jersey is a fitting homage to the pensioners  classy move addidas

I wasn't too keen on the red bit, but the explanation re the pensioners is OK. That said, one of my old favourite kits, had a bit of red in it.

I always dread the moment when a new kit is announced, most of them are sh*te, and I absolutely hate to see any red on a Chelsea shirt apart from the lion's staff on the old badge.

We should go back to this kit, the smartest we've ever had...
